Beach Retreat is a quiet, super light, modern chalet that has everything you and your family need for a relaxing and fun beach holiday. No need to drive around looking for a parking spot by the beach, you have your own reserved spot.
Sit on the front patio with unobstructed views 180% along the coast with a cup of tea or a glass of wine and watch the magnificent ever changing sunsets. Or, for more privacy lounge or sunbathe on one of the sun loungers in the back patio. Enjoy an al fresco evening meal here too.
Explore the tide pools, choose any of the 3 golden beaches to enjoy, there's also a cafe and shop onsite. An easy coast walk 2 mins away that leads to a great pub.
This can be your sanctuary, an oasis of calm, yet it can be that fun beach holiday away from the hustle and bustle where the sound of the sea is always present.
Your personal parking space is a short walk away. We have to say that you need to buy a weekly parking ticket for your vehicle as SOON as you arrive. This is a 3rd party company and they are very strict, we do not want you to get a fine.
The ticket machine takes cash, c/c and Ringo and is located 4 chalets down towards the coast path. Place this ticket on your dash all week, along with a Parking Pass.
You will find the Parking pass inside the chalet in the lounge in a large letter / keys holder. Please return the pass to the holder when you leave. Thank you .We hope you enjoy you stay.

Take all household rubbish to the rubbish bins located near the entrance gate. Do NOT put rubbish in bins around the park these are doggie bins only.
Do NOT put grease or oil down the kitchen sink or wipes or feminine products down the toilet. This causes major blockages, a big problem for us both
Please leave the washing machine door open when not in use, this prevents mold. Bring in outside cushions and recliners when not in use. Thank you.

An escape from a hectic routine

Just enjoyed our third stay at Beach Front - the best possible place for a quiet, relaxing break. The chalet is excellent in all respects and the views are fantastic. There is always something to watch. The owner is very welcoming and helpful. We will be back!

Quality Time Together

Just what we wanted. We were so lucky with the weather, that we were able to sit out on the patio every day. Just watching all sorts of activities going on, on the water. Maggie, was lovely to chat to. Lovely accommodation, lovely spot.

Cosy chalet by the sea

We had a lovely week in Maggie's chalet. You can hear the waves crashing from most areas of the chalet. It's tastefully decorated and the beds are super comfy - we all slept very well. The whole chalet is really well equipped, especially the kitchen, the owners have thought of everything! Great communication throughout from the owner and clear checking in/out instructions. We were not blessed with the weather during our May half term break unfortunately, but there was plenty to do in local Plymouth. We recommend for families (if the weather isn't on your side) - The Vault Escape rooms, Ten Pin bowling, Plymouth Boat Cruises and Drake Circus Shopping centre. We did get a few hours of sunshine one afternoon mid-week and it was glorious sitting out. So I'd definitely say the height of summer would be the best time to visit if plenty of sun is important to you. There are some lovely coastal trails nearby and I'd definitely recommend a visit to Bovisand café on site. Friendly, well priced and delicious homemade food made there!Overall an enjoyable week of family fun, despite the yucky wind & rain. We made the most of it!Thank you for having us!

Hello, We are an English couple who love Bovisand and our chalet, but we live in California and are only able to visit the chalet a couple of times a year. We have been lucky enough to travel to many countries but Bovisand is a special part of the world that we love. We hope you will enjoy your stay as much as we do.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

When you wake up to the bird song and see the wide blue sea almost so close that you feel you are part of it, it's magical.
Bovisand is so close to the bustling city of Plymouth yet far enough away that you feel like you are in a different world. There's nothing better for us than having that glass of wine at the end of the day whilst watching some of the most incredible sunsets.
If you are lucky, besides seeing the bunnies and birds you might get to see a badger or even the visiting seal.

One of the main reason to book our chalet is because there are NO steps to climb up like some of the other chalets for rent here. Many have numerous steep steps but Beach Retreat is so easy to get into. Just park right outside and unpack your stuff no puffing up those steps!
Also your personal parking space is a short walk away. Sorry to say but, you need to buy a weekly parking ticket for your vehicle as SOON as you arrive. This is a 3rd party co. and they are very strict, we do not want you to get a fine. The ticket machine takes cash, c/c and Ringo and is located 4 chalets down towards the coast path and in front of the public toilets. Place this ticket on your dash all week, along with a Parking Pass. You will find the Parking pass inside the chalet in the lounge in a large letter / keys holder.Please return the pass to the holder when you leave. Thank you.

The chalet is at the quieter end of the park even though one of the smaller beaches is about 50 steps away. I've had that beach all to myself sometimes.This is the best beach for collecting sea glass and exploring the tidepools.

Because we travel a lot and stay in different places we understand what a person / family need while staying away from home. We have really fitted the chalet out with everything. Lots of charging plugs, large towels, king size duvet, plenty of dishes and wine glasses. Even gin glasses! Comfortable relaxing recliners. The chalet is very clean and comfortable and you should find all you need for a relaxing fun holiday.

We would appreciate it if you looked after it so we can all enjoy this special place.
