Nuestro condominio de vacaciones está a pocos minutos de la ciudad, las tiendas y la playa. Es una espaciosa unidad de 900 pies cuadrados que cuenta con una gran cocina completa, balcón con barbacoa, cama queen size, sofá cama queen size, área de comedor y dos televisores. Podrá utilizar el jacuzzi con capacidad para 10 personas y la gran piscina. Nuestra unidad está ubicada sobre el área del jardín y los condominios están muy bien cuidados y mantenidos. Estamos ubicados al lado de Wrigley Road y al lado del campo de golf y del centro cívico.
Lo que está cerca
Cerca de nuestra unidad se encuentra el campo de golf y un popular restaurante llamado Sand Trap. Este restaurante local es famoso por sus tacos de pescado, cerveza y especiales de desayuno. Puedes caminar hasta Wrigley Road para ver la mansión y toda la bahía. Wrigley Road está a menos de 100 pies de distancia de nuestro condominio y lo convierte en una gran caminata con vistas espectaculares mientras observa el acantilado y contempla la bahía, el océano y la ciudad de Avalon.
En el condominio
Mientras esté en el condominio puede darse un baño, relajarse en el jacuzzi, hacer una barbacoa en el balcón y ver televisión por cable en el dormitorio o en la sala de estar. Si lo desea, puede preparar una comida gourmet en la cocina, que cuenta con todos los electrodomésticos, vajilla y utensilios. Si le gusta cenar al aire libre, tiene suerte ya que en el balcón hay una mesa y sillas al aire libre.
Que hacer en la isla
Catalina ofrece golf, pesca, buceo, esnórquel y la mayoría de los deportes acuáticos. Puedes subirte a los famosos botes con fondo de cristal, en un submarino o navegar en paracaídas sobre el océano. Hay paseos en bicicleta, senderismo, excursiones en tierra y en barcos. La isla también ofrece vida nocturna con muchos restaurantes, clubes nocturnos y bailes. El famoso casino ofrece recorridos por un museo y una cafetería en el agua. ¡Catalina tiene algo para todos!

Our property manager was very helpful and we had great contact with her throughout the stay. Upon entering, the stuffiness was prominent. The unit could use a deep cleaning, for instance, (drawers in bathroom vanity) and some paint. The furniture could be updated as well, including the mattress.

Vacay on Catalina Island

Took our granddaughters to spend a week there. Had a wonderful trip. Condo worked out perfect for our stay.

Birthday Getaway

This condo could for sure use some updating! The pool and jacuzzi were empty (bummer). That being said, it was clean and the bed was comfy. That was really all that mattered to us as we pretty much only slept there - out by 8:00 am and didn't get back until 10:00 pm to go to bed. The golf card was an added bonus (even though it was a bit sketchy and loud - it got us where we needed to go) and we loved driving around the area to check out the island :) Also, the property manager Allison was so sweet, accommodating and helpful!

The property could use some updates but it it comfortable and met our needs. The golf cart is a huge plus. Location is perfect close to everything. Wished the pool was open but with Covid-19 it is what is is. It was a pleasant stay.

Adequate

Overall, the condo was adequate. Very average. It certainly looked nicer in the pictures online. Kitchen very outdated. There is microwave above the cook top that does not work. Rather than replacing it, there is now a microwave on the counter. The bed was comfortable. The towels in the bathroom were really cheap. The bathroom could have been cleaned better. The TV's were tiny. There was also no Wifi, which is ridiculous in 2019. The golf cart is stored a 1-2 minute walk away. It is parked in a very tight spot to get in and out of. The golf cart was also very dirty. There was a bunch of garbage and other crap in the front. That's inexcusable. I needed the golf cart for the wedding I was attending to help with logistics. Otherwise, a hotel would be a better and probably cheaper option. It is a very reasonable walk to downtown Avalon. It was also quiet save when kids were using the pool. There are multiple steps to navigate so someone who has trouble with steps or carrying things up and down steps should not rent this unit.

Excellent as always!

Every time we visit the island this is the only place we will stay, the people that run this place are absolutely amazing and are so helpful every time. It’s in a great location away from the downtown area which we like, the golf cart is always a bonus and we love the fact that we get a balcony, barbecue and a full kitchen. The hotel rooms are beautiful but they are too small and twice the price.

Great, quiet place to stay in Avalon with bonus Golf Cart

We really enjoyed our stay. Mr Hunt was very welcoming and explained the entire process. The use of the Golf Cart let us explore the entire city limits and make the most of our time here in Avalon. We will definitely stay again! Thank you Mr. Hunt! For those reviews complaining about the unit being dated, yes, it's dated, however, the place is very clean, maintained, and the price was perfect for our budget. That's what matters to us. Thanks again!

Great location simple place.. golf cart bonus!

We stayed here for a few days to celebrate the New Year and it was such a wonderful experience. The condo had everything needed and the golf cart was a bonus! Mr Hunt was great to work with and such a nice man.. thank you for the fudge! Love visiting the island we will be back soon!

Golf cart makes this worthwhile

On the good side, the unit was very clean, and having a golf cart included in the stay was a very big plus. It also came with a rollaway bed which was nice. The condo complex, while old, is pretty well kept, with a clean pool and well-swept walkways. The location is also good, being quite walkable to town. The downside is that everything was very old and worn out in this unit. It felt like visiting great-grandma’s house. The tub even has those non-stick flower things circa 1972. The arms are nearly falling off the recliner and the pull out sofa is like a torture rack. As long as you know what you’re getting, it’s fine. And let’s face it, it’s like the 2nd cheapest place on VRBO so you get what you get.

Great Condo and Cart Vacation

We had a wonderful 3 day stay at this Condo. The addition of the Golf Cart made exploring around the island a very fun experience, especially knowing that rental time was not a worry. Good size condo with a full kitchen, living room, balcony and good sized bedroom with two TV's, one in the living room and one in the bedroom. Hope to stay there again in the near future. v

Inexpensive, but could use some TLC

My husband and I stayed at the condo while attending a family wedding on the island. We were able to check in early, which was nice. When we arrived we learned that the golf cart that is included in the rental was out of service. The realtor rented us one for our stay. It was a true Rent-A-Wreck golf cart. It was filthy (he didn't clean out the trash that previous users left in the cart) and was extremely loud. We could have been cited for breaking the noise ordinance! While it got us around, it wasn't suitable to tour the island like we wanted. The actual condo was fine, nothing fancy or new here. Everything was just okay. I agree with previous reviewers -- a little bit of work would go a long way here. We were only in the unit to sleep and shower, so the decor didn't bother us. However, it would have been nice for a few things to be just a little better. The tiny, threadbare towels are cheap. A full bar of soap would go a long way. I understand that getting things to/from the island isn't easy, but just upping your standard for the basics would make this place great.

Good Value, Limited Amenities

We just recently rented this condo in Avalon for our short vacation. The condo was a great value, especially since it included a Golf Cart, allowed for early check-in and late check-out, however, It is very outdated – straight out of the 70’s. The extra blankets provided had holes all through them, the pillows were flat, the pull out couch was extremely uncomfortable (old and well used), the mattress on the bed needs to be replaced, and there were no beach towels provided. The condo association pool was out of commission for 1 ½ days while we were there, it was extremely cold, and the spa was not heated at all. When vacating the condo, we left it in good condition – put everything back in its place, stripped the beds/linens and placed them in a big pile, took all of the trash out, washed our dishes and put them away, cleaned out the refrigerator, parked the golf cart at the Blue Dolphin and walked back to the Pier to catch the Catalina Flyer. Just $1,000 in upgrades would do this condo justice and would make me want to rent this condo again for another trip. Please consider basic upgrades!

Awesome Immenities.

My 79 year old dad, sister and I went to the condo. Having the cart made all the difference in the world! It was so helpful with my dad, who sometimes uses a wheelchair. Brian the owner, had restaurant and entertainment suggestions. And.. answered every question including, where to leave the luggage.
