Gorgeous home and lovely area

This is one of the best places we have stayed. The home is clean, comfortable, and gorgeous. The view is spectacular. The hosts were easy to communicate with and so helpful. It's really easy to enjoy the view and to go to the wonderful area experiences such as the nearby lake and hiking. (We could not find the back entrance by foot though). We also loved going to Red Hook, Rhinebeck, Millerton and the rail trail. Thank you for a great stay and we would love to stay again sometime!

The house was beautiful, clean and has a fantastic view of the Hudson Valley. The Host supplied plenty of towels and food condiments. It was a short drive to Lake Taghkanic State Park which had kayaks, canoes, paddle boats and a lake beach for swimming.

Fabulous!

The house and view were beautiful - especially with the fall foliage. All the furnishings were very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with good quality dishes, pots and pans. The location was also great - just a few minutes from Lake Taghkanik State Park and a short drive to restaurants and Olana in Hudson. Amy was an extremely responsive host. Thanks so much!

A Gem For Any Season.

Peaceful, comfortable and well appointed home nestled in the scenic hills. The view from huge deck is beautiful and the sunsets are magical. There is no shortage of outdoor activities in the area. We enjoyed exploring Lake Taghkanic and Olana State Parks, High Falls Conservation for a wonderful hike to a gorgeous waterfall and the town of Hudson with its many shops and local history. We were there in the summer but I can only image the beauty with the foliage in the fall and snow in the winter. I can see ourselves returning to enjoy the different seasons from that magical deck and the area.

A Chalet in the Sky

Let me start with- we can't wait to go back! My friends and I planned a ski trip to Belleayre for the weekend and wanted to have Hudson, NY and the Berkshires close by too-this home was the perfect location. We arrived in the evening and the location is easy to find. We were greeted by the large windows which give you great views overlooking the Catskills. The bedrooms and kitchen have everything you need and the bathrooms are recently renovated. We were able to visit good restaurants, breweries and distilleries close by. Their is also a nice supermarket 3 min away. We had a busy weekend but if you want to stay and enjoy the home- I can only imagine looking at the view all day long from the warmth of the cozy couch or the large deck in the warmer weather.

We love the Hudson Valley for its scenic beauty, historic sites, arts & culture, and outdoor activities...especially hiking and kayaking. A 15 minute drive to Hudson gives us access to galleries, antique shops, shopping, restaurants, and nightlife.
