Minne-GetAway: Modern Cottage
Step into Minne-GetAway: Modern Cottage and you can kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space.
We’ve curated the distinct design in this twin home for the tasteful traveler seeking a respite from a busy lifestyle. From the cherry red leather couch, designer accent chairs, concrete coffee table to the Peacock Bedroom or master en-suite featuring world renowned painting, “The Kiss”, your senses will be in delight at the airy feel of the Modern Cottage with it’s sky high ceilings.
This home is a twin home that shares a wall with the neighbor to the north. The living room is vaulted and the windows all face south so you will enjoy ample natural lighting in this home. There is a 65” Smart TV as well as ample seating. The succulent wall covering overlooks the dining area which seats 4 at the table or 4 at the kitchen peninsula. The yard is partially fenced and very private with an outdoor patio with seating for 4 and pergola as well as mature trees including a romantic willow tree.
Both bedrooms have east facing windows so you can wake with the sun. They feature 55” Smart TVs, plush quality bedding, king size pillows both firm and soft as well as cotton quilts.
We have stocked the kitchen with basic cooking essentials (salt, black pepper, garlic powder, cooking oil), cookware, silverware, plates, cups, mugs, knives, cutting boards, aluminum foil, a broiler pan, paper towels, kitchen towels, and a supply of Kuerig pods for the single-serve Kuerig for extended stays.
Laundry is available on-site with detergent. We also provide the freshest, fluffiest towels, bath mats, Dove shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Both bathrooms are stocked with hair blow dryers and Q-tips. We have worked hard to consider all things a weary traveler may need when resting.
You will have use of the entire home, attached two car garage, pergola, patio, and fenced in yard. Remote self check-in and access to the garage door opener application is available to all guests and adults traveling with them.
You will have complete privacy however we have exterior security cameras installed.
Quiet stately neighborhood with well manicured lawns and friendly neighbors. We are one unit of a total of 2 twin homes on the block of all single family homes. Quick and easy access to the highway with a few office buildings behind us.
Very walkable neighborhood. You have access to parking inside the attached 2 car garage and off street parking on the driveway directly in front of the unit. Please respect the neighbor’s property by not blocking their side of the driveway.
There is no additional charge for up to 2 guests, it's $25 per additional person per night after 2 guests. Our max capacity is 4 adults and 1-2 children if one person can use the leather couch. We ask that you use the additional bedding if sleeping on the leather couch to prevent damage.
Please note our basic house rules:
No smoking or vaping allowed inside the property or garage. A $350 cleaning fee will be charged to any guests violating this rule. We've worked hard to curate a smoke-free experience for guests, especially those with asthma. You're welcome to smoke outside however please dispose of your cigarette butts properly.
No pets allowed due to owner's severe allergies. A $350 deep cleaning fee will be charged to any guests violating this rule. Many guests ask ahead of time if any pets have been inside a home due to their allergies.
No unauthorized events or parties. We have hosted over 600+ nights with the various Airbnb homes in the Twin Cities that we own. We value honesty and transparency with your travel plans. If you have any questions, please contact us via inquiry.
Quiet time starts at 10 PM to 7 AM. The home is fully stocked with linens, toiletries, cookware, silverware, and basic condiments for cooking.
We also have some baby equipment like a high chair, baby swing, etc. on the premises should you need them.
Early check-in or late check-out can sometimes be available with advance notice for $50.
Please note that this unit shares a wall between both units, please be respectful of the neighbor immediately next door. They work from home and will notify us in the event of excessive noise.

Hey, fellow travelers! Our names are Nancy & Will. We are long time residents of the Twin Cities Minneapolis-Saint Paul, Will has been here all his life and Nancy moved to Saint Paul from a college town in Wisconsin in the mid 90s. We have a large family with 5 children and love to travel ourselves. We've found there's just as many beautiful places stateside as there are abroad. We enjoy privacy when traveling especially with 5 kids in varying age brackets. We also enjoy traveling with friends!
