Do you hear that? The mountains are calling, and this is your perfect home away from home. The Black Dog Treehouse is a mountain chalet tucked away in a quiet area of Wintergreen Resort. This home has 34 steps to entry. Conveniently located just minutes from the Wintergreen Spa, Aquatics and Fitness Center, Devils Knob Golf Course, Lake Monocan, and Mountain Inn Ski Area, guests enjoy all the exclusive amenities offered thru the Wintergreen Advantage program which is only available to those booking through this site. Upon arrival, your experience begins as you cascade down a lovely winding path to your secluded get away. Along the way, you will pass dogwood trees planted in memory of our beloved Labrador Retrievers who called this home over the last 2 decades. The home is beautifully furnished with granite countertops and hardwood floors throughout the house. You enter the home on the main floor which has a fully equipped kitchen with full size appliances. On this floor, you will also find a cozy living room, dining area and half bath. As you stand on the deck amidst the trees soaring high above mountain floor, you will be welcomed with breathtaking views of Crawford's Knob and the Rockfish Valley. The entire upper floor is a master king bedroom suite with a private bathroom and walk in shower. The view of the sunrise as you wake up is nothing short of spectacular. The lower level has two additional bedrooms. One has a comfortable queen-size bed with a studio office to accommodate the traveler in need of executive services. The other bedroom is appointed with 2 full-size beds. Both of these room share a full-size bathroom with walk in shower and doors that open out onto the hot tub deck.
Enchanting fireflies and full moons are also enjoyed while basking in the hot tub. This location is a hiker's paradise. Nestled in the forest and right out the back door, there is a private walking trail leading down to the Old Appalachian Trail that connects all hiking trails within Wintergreen up to and including the famous Appalachian Trail. You are also only a short walk to the Blue Ridge Parkway, so the trail options are endless.

Located just outside the front door is the "Fun Shed", a closet for storing your snow sport and golf equipment. Fishing rods and tackle as well as snowshoes are also available to use during your stay. After a day of play and adventure, kick back, and enjoy an evening on the deck, in the hot tub or curled up in front of the gas log fireplace. For your viewing pleasure, TVs are in the living room, kitchen and each bedroom.
