Very cool house

First stay at this pet-friendly property. Very comfortable and inviting with beautiful and unusual furnishings. Nearly everything needed is there and easily restocked if needed. Lovely stay!

Highly recommend

This amazing house is in wonderfully quiet neighborhood within walking distance to town. The hosts have really outdone themselves with amenities available at the cottage. It was a great week and we felt at home from the moment we walked through the door. A short drive to Nauset beach and an even shorter drive to Skaket beach. We will be back!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We’ve stayed at this property a few times before, so when we decided to go up for an off season stay we knew this was the perfect spot. The location, about a mile from Orleans center, makes it super convenient to get to many shops, restaurants, beaches, and other towns. The house is clean, warm, and inviting. We had a blast and will be back again sometime.

This was a great rental for our family of 5 plus dog Lyla and my in laws. Plenty of space for our needs. Big porch. BBQ not the best but got the job done. Quiet dead end road. Close to everything we needed ( especially Sparrows) weather was great. the house Was pretty on the one rainy day we had. Looking forward to next year.

It’s charming, well stocked and quiet. It has always felt like a home away from home for my family & friends. The house is showing its age. The cleaning service was at the property when we arrived at 5:30pm. Check in was 3:30. We reported a plumbing issue twice that was not resolved. I was not as satisfied as I had been in the past.

Great location but….

The house was in a great location for us. 5 minutes to Skaket Beach, downtown Orleans and the grocery store. Nice great room and deck to hang out in. The downside of our trip was the cleanliness of the place. On our first night there, after checking in at 3:30 we went to the beach. On arriving back to the house and unpacking, I went to give the 2 babies a bath. The upstairs tub was filthy. I contacted the real estate company 2 days later via email with a list of additional things we needed to clean before using. They advised me I should have informed them when we arrived and they would have sent cleaners back out. We weren’t aware of these things when we walked in the door. I have used VRBO many times in the past and this was the only problem I have had with the place being dirty.

Relaxing Orleans Vacation

Property needs better air conditioning. It exists only in the master bedroom and living room. Plenty of fans but they don’t cool the bedrooms for sleeping. Also the overgrowth of foliage makes it very difficult to maneuver in the driveway. Always trying to avoid hitting a tree. The picture shown was at a time way before trees and bushes were allowed to overtake the yard. It is very private, due to the overgrowth. It was comfortable since we were only four people. It is well supplied if you are intending to do cooking. You need to bring your own sheets and towels. When we called Laundry service they said $250.00 for the sheets for the available beds. We brought our own. Also towels. We had family members staying in East Orleans and Eastham who liked the space when they visited. We did not want to all stay together because of little kids, etc. I feel that safety bars in the bathrooms would be useful as aged people definitely need that feeling of security in getting in and out of the tub. The bannister on the upstairs stairwell needs to be checked. It is coming apart and not secure to the wall. These are things We think will make the home more appealing to someone who might be looking for a rental in the future. It is very quiet there and there we no noisy neighbors or disturbances while we were there. However, a few corrections are needed.
