Awesome location, comfortable condo
We had a great stay for a spring break ski trip with our 3 kids. The location is great! You can ski down a run directly next to the condo and there is a shuttle stop just outside that takes you right to a lift which you could also walk about 5 minutes to. It is a 10 minute walk to the big 5 chair Quicksilver lift. Such a great location! The master bed is extremely firm and was slightly uncomfortable and there weren’t extra hand towels and washcloths so we had to do laundry to keep those clean every day or two, but we would for sure stay again! Great view from the balcony to see people skiing down if you aren’t a skier yourself. And hot tubs were almost always empty.

Wonderful Condo a block away from Main Street!
Nice 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo with Kitchen and Laundry for your convienence. Relax watching TV in a cosy living area with a fireplace or watch the snow coming over the mountains. This is well worth you money!!!!

Epic Failure
I've never bothered to leave a review before, but this was the worst experience. Stay away from Great Western Lodging. Our keys did not work! The most basic thing you need when you rent a condo is to be able to get inside and we could not. We arrived in Breck at about 2:30 in the morning after flight and luggage delays and had to call emergency maintenance. Took a long time for the maintenance guy to arrive because he was woken up in the middle of the night and had to drive from Silverthorne. He was almost as pissed as we were because he told us that this had just happened with this very unit and it hadn't been fixed. We didn't get into the unit until after 4:15 am, which wrecked our first day. We were also given only one key for one of the two locks, which barely worked. We didn't get two working keys for two days. Had no use of the ski storage locker and we couldn't split up because we only had one key. And when we complained and asked for a refund for the first night of our stay (pretty reasonable request), we were ignored.

Disappointing
It is difficult for me to give a poor review, as I am usually the type to give the benefit of the doubt, but unfortunately our stay at this condo left much to be desired. First, the good:
- The location is perfect- one block off of Main street, convenient when traveling with two children under the age of 2 years old. We didn't have to drive to get around Breck, which was ideal.
- The kitchen was well-appointed with plenty of dishes and cooking utensils.
- The living room was comfortable and the patio was nice.
Now, for what needs to be improved:
- The queen bed in this unit has the worst mattress I have ever slept on- it was so bad that my husband and I ended up sleeping separately on the twin beds in the second bedroom. It was sad to spend vacation sleeping separate, and not getting great sleep at that. Replacing this mattress would have made our stay MUCH more pleasant.
- The bathrooms were not very clean- while bathing my son the first night, I noticed that the front of the toilet bowl was covered in dried urine splatter. I checked the second toilet, and it was the same. I ended up cleaning these myself, since we were staying for another 4 nights. The edge of the tub was also dirty, with hair all over.
- Unfortunately, during our stay the hot tubs were closed for maintenance. This was a big reason we picked this unit, so this was really disappointing.
- The carpet along the general walkway leading up the unit was being replaced during our stay- in my opinion, this unit should not have been rented with this. On the first day, we stepped off the elevator into wet carpet adhesive, coating the wheels of our stroller and my husband's shoes- both the stroller and shoes were ruined. When this happened, we also ended up tracking the adhesive across the carpet when trying to access our unit with two small children in tow. Dan with Great Western Management came pounding on our door saying that we would need to pay to have the carpet replaced, and the confrontation with him was extremely upsetting to my husband and myself. This happened on Friday afternoon- I called the office, and the lady I spoke with said we would resolve it the next day. However, no manager was in the office on the weekend. So, this was not resolved until Monday, which largely ruined our weekend. While we were not charged for the carpet, the only resolution was 10% off a future stay. With this negative experience, I will not be staying with Great Western again.

In regards to the cleaning - all of our housekeepers work closely with us, know our units very well, and our on-site housekeeping inspector reviews every condo to ensure it's perfectly clean before each guest arrives. I shared this review with our housekeeping department to ensure that we do not miss items such as these - thank you for noting.
In regards to the hot tubs - the reason for the closures was an unforeseen maintenance issue that we needed to address as soon as possible. We apologize that this happened during your stay, however this is a rare occurrence and the hot tubs are open and able to be used for all future guests.
I am aware that our General Manager called you personally to discuss your stay, your discussion with our Maintenance Manager, and your frustrations. During this phone conversation, we offered everything possible to ensure that we provided you with the best solution. In addition, during this discussion we had come to an agreement with you, sincerely apologized, and ensured that we did everything to make things right. Therefore, we are sorry to see this review.
We have been in business for over 20 years in Breckenridge, and we are a locally ran company who prides ourselves in providing the upmost customer service. Our main priority is providing guests with the very best vacation rentals in town, ensure their stay meets all standards, as well as taking care of our homeowners properties. With this in mind, we have already reviewed your feedback as a team and will continue to strive to ensure that situations such as these do not arise for guests moving forward.

Great stay basically right on the mountain
Great place. No spices in the kitchen so don't expect any. Crockpot and a cheap blender are there. Also, only one load of laundry detergent is provided so be prepared.
Awesome ability to walk to the bottom on Snowflake lift (10 minute walk) and ski back to the place at the end of the day via the 4oClock run

Perfect location!
This condo was perfect for our trip. It is in a location that allowed us to park the car when we got there and not use it again until we left. We were in walking distance to restaurants, shopping and hiking trails. The condo is updated and very clean. There was plenty of room for our group...two couples. We would rent this place again!

Roomy and clean but in need of a new bed in both rooms.
Sheets didn't fit the bed which was way to high off the ground!
Surprised how noisy the street noise was especially if you opened a window or sit on the balcony. It was nice to have the elevator and walking distance to downtown.

Great location
Sawcreek Mill is just a couple of blocks from Main St. and a very short shuttle ride to the gondola. We had a great stay. Our unit was clean and updated. The living room, dining room and kitchen are open, which made the condo feel large! Check-in process was easy. The 4 O'Clock Run ski-run ends right out side of the building, which made for an easy "commute" off of Peak 8! Look forward to staying there again.

Beautiful place and perfect location

Amazing Location!
Good:
The location could not be beat, walking distance to main street, tons of incredible restaurants and shops. Condo was just as beautiful as it looked online, fireplace was wonderful. Used the hot tubs downstairs one time and that was also amazing. Decided to rent a car even though it was certainly not necessary but covered parking was included and appreciated.
Negative:
Master bed was SO uncomfortable, Super firm. Our family of three had to sleep on the bunk bed which felt a little claustrophobic for me. Water drained slowly from sinks and showers. You could occasionally hear cars going by being so close to main street, I wished there was a ceiling fan or at least a stand up fan to drown out the noise.
All in all I would say that the condo was amazing. During the day I would give it 15 stars but at night I would give it 3 stars.

perfect breck getaway!
Beautiful condo! Very clean, well stocked kitchen & awesome location. We enjoyed being able to walk to main street to eat & shop. The gondola is in walking distance, but we took the bus ( picks up right outside of condo) to hit the slopes. Best part is the ability to ski down 4 o’clock run & be at your condo. Overall great experience... we would definitely stay again!

The condo is clean and very updated. The only problem is the kitchen is lacking pot holders and needs a 9 x 13 inch pan or pyrex dish for baking. The baking dishes provided are way to small. Also, all the pillows on the beds are all flat and hard. The owner needs to replace the pillows. The first night no one slept good and woke up with neck aches. I called the front desk and they immediately sent over new pillows and everyone was happy and slept much better so the management at Great Western Lodging is wonderful. Also the unit does get rather hot even when the thermostats are set very low. Had to open the patio door to let cold air in when watching TV in the evening and also had to open the window at night to sleep because it was too hot. The setup of the condo was nice and furnishings were nice too. The master sink and tub drain, as well as, the guest bathroom shower drain need to be looked at, they do not drain properly. I would recommend if they get a few things corrected, it was a great trip.
