Countryside Retreat - A ranch on 12 acres of rolling hills with goats and sheep

Our home/ranch is an excellent option for a quiet countryside getaway. We are about a half mile from the main road which makes you feel like you are secluded but just minutes from downtown Paso Robles. During your stay you can feed the goats, enjoy the hot tub, and BBQ on the back patio. We are just 3 miles from downtown Paso, which offers a wide selection of restaurants, shopping, and nightlife, including live music and about 7 miles away from over 100 wineries. The large 2 story house sits on 12 acres of rolling hills with amazing views. The home includes 4 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, and a fully equipped kitchen. This is a NO SMOKING PROPERTY.
On our ranch, we have friendly rescued goats who would love to say hi. Their names are Nugget, Pumpkin, Turkey and Daisy. They love to meet new people! We recently rescued sheep as well that you will see out grazing most of the day.
We recommend getting up early and enjoying the stunning sunrises or hanging out on the back patio to enjoy the amazing sunsets. The ranch is surrounded by neighboring ranches that will bring sounds of nature, wildlife and a peaceful place you will love.
**Dawn and Paul are the property owners/hosts. We do live on the property to take care of the ranch/goats/sheep. As we are a working ranch, you may see us from time to time out working on the property but we do try to stay out of site as much as possible. Don’t hesitate to catch our attention if you need anything or have any questions about the house or ranch. We are more than happy to chat with ya!
The road to the property is a dirt road and can get bumpy. Very low vehicles are not recommended. Please drive slowly when arriving or leaving the property as the road becomes a one lane road and is shared with our neighbors, deer, horses, and other wildlife. We only allow up to 4 vehicles to be on the property and must be parked on the cement driveway only.
In order to provide a safe and clean environment, only the owners and/or property manager have access to the home and do all maintenance and cleaning between guests.
Our Master bedroom has a large bathroom attached to it. The bedroom has 2 sitting chairs for enjoying the views out the window with your morning coffee or a nightcap.
All bedrooms upstairs have stunning views - one has the perfect view of the sunrise and the other two have the breathtaking view of the sunset.
The downstairs bedroom is a very large area that has a soft comfy sectional couch to lounge and watch some TV. There are two sliding glass doors that offer plenty of natural light and the ability to take in the sunrise if you choose. There are darkening curtains in case you would rather sleep in as well.
Our back patio has plenty of sitting area, as well as a long picnic table to enjoy your meals outside.
You can take a walk along the large area of property to watch the goats & sheep graze or witness the many deer that like to live on the property.

The house was spacious and welcoming. The host was kind and easy to talk to. They had cut up snacks for us to feed the goats, which was my grandson favorite thing ever.

We had a wonderful time at Sunrise Ranch! The owner was quick to respond to my pre-arrival questions and left some treats for both humans and goats. We are a group of 4 friends from all over California who get together once a year. It was great to all have our own bedrooms with comfortable beds and beautiful views. The house was equipped with everything you could need. The bedrooms even had charging stations. The property is amazing and the goats are hysterical. They came charging down the hill for treats when they saw us. We ran into Dawn in her garden and she was super friendly and even gave us extra freshly layed eggs. The hot tub was lovely after a long day. We were a little concerned that it might be difficult to get an Uber due to the long gravel driveway, but there was no issue at all. I highly recommend the property and hope to come back for another trip in the future!

Its nice ranch away from other homes. Its only 10 minutes from downtown so you have access to all that is offers. Come here to reconnect with friends and family. Make some food and chill in the jacuzzi and watch deer herd and other life from its beautiful landscaped backyard, side yard. If watching rolling hills and relaxing you want this is great place.

Perfect home for our family ( six adults and two young children) stay. The hosts are wonderful, easy check-in. Kitchen was well equipped. The hot tub was a plus and the goats friendly and an enjoyment for the children. Abundant wildlife in the fields; cows, foxes, deer and elk. Perfect ranch setting.

Wonderful Stay in Nature

Our group consisted of three couples visiting Paso for some wine tasting. The space was plenty big enough for us all and was comfortable with all the amenities we could need. The wildlife were an added bonus, especially the elk on the hillside!

Beautiful Getaway

No notes. This property was beautiful and peaceful. The goats and sheep on the property were friendly and a hit for our kids, the hosts even provided us with some goat snacks so we could feed them, and there was also local deer and birds that added to the experience. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly and genuinely cared that we had a great stay. We would definitely return to this property.

Set on 12 acres, 5 minutes from Downtown Paso Robles. Plenty of space! Morning coffee and observing the mule deer on the patio never got old!! Will stay again.

Paso Serenity

Dawn and Paul have a wonderful place, away from cars and neighbors yet close enough to town. Nestled on 12 acres and surrounded by additional acreage, we were greeted each morning by goats, cows and deer. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. They supplied us with snacks and coffee. After a day of wine tasting, it was a pleasure to relax in the hot tub. Plenty of kitchen supplies to make dinner if that is important. Highly recommend!

Great location to sample the endless roster of wine ties around Paso Robles and also super convenient to the coast. Well appointed kitchen with anything you need to cook at home. Great bathrooms and lots of indoor and outdoor space to spread out. And you have to feed the goats! They’ll be happy to see you

Fantastic place to relax!

Property was great! Lots of room indoors and out. Dawn and Paul made everything so easy-coffee, snacks, even fruit to feed the goats! It was so pleasant to sit outside in the evening. Can’t wait to go back!
