Cute Container Cabin on Ranch w/ 90 Rescue Donkeys

Featured in Mar '24 Fort Worth Magazine's "The Great Texas Road Trip!" Chaos Ranch is appx. 300 acres and is primarily home to appx. 90 rescue donkeys. Our very private 20 foot converted shipping container has an awesome deck on top, allowing you to enjoy both our spectacular sunrises and sunsets. Perfect place for an overnight stop, nature lovers, and folks just wanting to enjoy some rural peace and quiet. You are free to take nature hikes and enjoy the firepit and outdoor cooking amenities.

The space
We don't do crazy checkout chores here and the cleaning fee is included in the price! We will allow up to 70 lbs of pet for a $40 fee to help with the extra cleaning/sanitizing. This is a very cozy 20' converted sea container accommodation, perfect for 1 or 2 guests. We welcome any and all at our little cabin and enjoy getting to make new friends from all walks in life. You will have a comfy queen bed, coffee setup, fridge with freezer, microwave, and shower with toilet and sink. There is a wall AC unit and small electric heaters that keep the well insulated accommodation very comfortable in the heat or cold. This place is truly perfect for outdoor loving types that want the solitude of camping, but love the comforts of a hotel room.

You are welcome to cook outdoors on one of the 3 choices : 1) electric grill 2) fire pit or 3) 30” propane/fish fryer combo grill. ***WE PROVIDE FIREWOOD FOR YOUR STAY AND IT IS INCLUDED IN THE RATE*** There are also some awesome places to eat in Miles, located just about 3 miles away.

Try to catch one of our breathtaking sunrises and sunsets from the top deck! You can still even see the stars in our peaceful little corner of West Texas.

Guest access
You are free to roam the approximately 60 acres of the front pasture where your cabin is located. With notice, we are also happy to give you a complimentary ATV cart tour of the rest of the property for some nature viewing.

Other things to note
No UNAUTHORIZED Pets allowed - Donkeys are very protective and territorial, and many of the donkeys on property will kill domestic pets, as they consider them intruders. We love animals and definitely want to keep both the donkeys and your animals safe. Therefore, we ask that you disclose your pet upon booking so that we can make sure that a) the protective electric fencing is on to protect both pets and donkeys and b) we know that a pet is on site. This is a rural area and sadly enough, unexpected domesticated animals can meet untimely ends out here if they are perceived as strays or a threat to other pets and livestock. Understand that there is no closed front entrance gate and it is your responsibility to not let your animal run off. Absolutely do not leave your animal unattended or uncrated in the cabin! Clorox cleanup wipes are provided in cabin to wipe up any accident. And please, no pets in the bed.
