Newly Remodeled! Peaceful and Private Lakefront, The Avalon Sunshine Cottage

Enjoy a peaceful, private, woodsy setting with your own private dock and beach, along with breathtaking lake, sunrise, and sunset views. This 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom lakefront home features a great room with wood vaulted ceiling, which is perfect for gathering with family and friends. Dining, great room seating, and beds will accommodate 10 comfortably, up to 12 with small children.

The property is newly remodeled with a washer & dryer, dishwasher, coffee bar, and two new bathrooms. Kitchen basics are available for cooking and basic needs, along with linens including bedding, bath towels, and beach towels. Wifi and a desk area are available for any work or streaming needs. A fully stocked game, puzzle, book, and toy cupboard will entertain all ages. A portable high chair and pack-n-play make your stay with kids easier.

Lake Avalon is a crystal clear, Caribbean blue, sandy bottom lake, approximately five miles around. It is perfect for swimming, relaxing on the dock, and paddling in the kayaks. There is plenty of space to tie your pontoon boat, water ski boat, fishing boat, or jet skis to the dock, with a public access just around the corner.

Other favorite ways to relax are rocking in chairs on the covered porch overlooking the lake, enjoying s'mores over the campfire, or touring nearby Hillman and neighboring towns. This vacation rental will please any time of the year!

Absolutely Fabulous!

Fantastic property! After having to make a last minute reservation, the host was just wonderful! This was a beautiful cabin and Lake Avalon is just as gorgeous as we remembered. Highly recommend this property and hope to return soon.

Great Spot!

We LOVED this cottage and our time on Lake Avalon. I feel like we found a secret gem. We have a big family with five kids ages 16 to 3 months and everyone had a great time! The cottage has old classic up north charm with modern upgrades (like new washer and dryer) that made our stay! Plenty of extra linens, kitchen ware and everything we needed. Everything was meticulously labeled and organized (a dream come true for me).The views are unbeatable. The water is even more beautiful in person if you can imagine! Even on a chilly weekend, we made the most of it and paddled the lake.The host was available with one phone call when our door code didn’t work right away and she fixed it immediately.

Our family really enjoyed this property. My favorite part was sitting on the back deck in the rocking chairs reading my book. The host, Jill, responded very quickly to any of my questions. The kitchen had all the necessities to cook as we cooked most meals. The Weber grill was nice, and right outside the kitchen door. The house was very clean. Both bathrooms were updated and very clean as well. We enjoyed using the kayaks and the solo stove. The beds were very comfortable. The only thing guests should be aware of is that there are a lot of steps. As others have mentioned the lake water is very clear and it is a sandy bottom. They have a lot of board games stocked, so our family enjoyed playing Monopoly and Scrabble. Checking in and out was very easy, we were sent a code a couple days before our arrival date. There is a nice stackable washer and dryer in the home that was very useful. You can tell the owners take pride in the home and and taking care of their guests.

Our new favorite vacation spot

Our family got a late start in booking our summer vacation. We are a family of 13, so it is not always easy to find a place that will accommodate us all. Then we found the listing for this beautiful cottage on Avalon Lake, and we are so happy we did. Jill was a great host from the beginning. She answered all my questions about the listing and was extremely accommodating. The cottage was perfect, very clean and well-appointed with everything that my family could need. Even with the whole family in the cabin we did not feel like there was not enough room. I cannot say enough good about the lake itself. It is just beautiful. Crystal clear and just large enough to play on the seadoo safely, but not so large that it ever got rough. We had absolutely gorgeous weather so our stay for the week was perfect. Two mornings we were greeted by a Bald Eagle that took up in a tree right next to the cabin. It was awesome just sitting on the deck and enjoying the beautiful view. This is for sure a place that my family will consider for another stay. Thank you Jill for sharing your piece of paradise with myself and my family. We made memories that will last a lifetime.
