OTHER THINGS TO NOTE

• Summertime Cooling: Like most Colorado mountain homes, Casa de Cristal does not have central air conditioning. The home was architecturally designed to capture refreshing breezes through open windows and doors. During the 2023 remodel, we added a 2-ton AC unit in the main living room plus portable fans throughout. For most guests, this setup is perfect, but if you are very heat-sensitive, you may want to avoid the hottest weeks of the summer (typically late July and August).

In the winter months, guests should be prepared for true mountain conditions, including freezing temperatures, snow, and periods of high wind. The home is fully heated, and all bedrooms have heating, but because of the expansive floor-to-ceiling windows, the main living areas can run cooler than a traditional, heavily insulated home. Most guests find it very comfortable with cozy clothing, warm socks, and slippers, but if you tend to run cold, we recommend packing extra layers so you can fully enjoy the views and living spaces.

• 4WD/AWD & Snow Tires: Required from November through May due to potential for snow and icy roads.

• Elevation: This property is situated at ~8,500 ft of elevation.

• Age Requirement: Must be 28 years or older to book or insta-book our home.

• Exterior Security Cameras: Two cameras are installed outside for your safety. They do NOT capture any interior spaces.

• Holiday Restrictions: No check-in/check-out on Thanksgiving or Christmas Day. Reservations not meeting these requirements must be adjusted or canceled.
