Birthday Getaway

The home was beautiful. We had a couple issues with appliances but our hosts responded quickly and made adjustments.

Beautiful home, plenty of space and great accommodations, near town square within walking distance. For guest peace of mind I highly recommend installing an additional door lock from the inside of back door entrance. Window shades for front and rear door.

Very nice place close to square

Went for anniversary trip and just loved the place. It big enough for a family but there was only 2 of us and we loved it. It was too hot to get to enjoy the fire pit but it’s super cute. I’m obsessed with the kitchen. Just saying. Beds were a little firm for us but that’s a preference and hated that there was not a ceiling fan in master bedroom. We did use portable fan from third room but if all rooms had

I really would give this stay all the stars in the sky, because my trip to Covington was made so perfect with this home. Everything was so cute, clean, aesthetic, comfortable, spacious, homey, very well located (less then 5 minute drive from the square), and the host Michelle was so incredibly sweet, helpful, and quick to respond. From the booking process to checking-out, everything was easy and seamless. I took a trip with my family and friends (7 total), and we all agreed this was one of our favorite mini trips we’ve ever taken. Everyone slept so comfortably and the gasp we GUSP as we walked inside was LOUD. I could rave on forever if I could, but I’ll try to keep in brief. If you are looking for the perfect home away from home but it still feels like a vacation, this is your place!

We cannot rave enough at how wonderful our stay at the Magnolia Cottage was. It was our first visit to Covington and it was spectacular. The listing was just as described with more than enough space to accommodate the two of us. The home is beautiful with all of the modern amenities you could possibly need. Conveniently located just a short walk or drive to the heart of Covington, otherwise known as The Square. The check-in and check-out process was seamless and Michelle was an amazing host to work with. She answered all of my questions very promptly and was gracious in allowing us an earlier check-in and later check-out. She offered suggestions for places to visit for cofee, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. She even suggested reservations at certain places incuding The City Pharmacy, and provided touring options as well. The rooms were very spacious and the bathrooms were stocked well with linens and items we may need. The kitchen was stocked with necessities and the little quick breakfast corner was just perfect. Our visit had us in Covington during Halloween and it was a magical experience to say the least. Covington is a beautiful, magical, but bustling place so be prepared to wait to have some patience with traffic and pedestrians. All of which are heavy in the area of the home as it sits in close proximity to the center of town. We LOVED our time at Magnolia Cottage and cannot recommend them enough. We will be back! Go book your stay now. You will love it.

Never again

Upon checking in we noticed damages to cracked tile, damaged closets, loose toilets, damaged refrigerator and an old house molded smell. The bbq grill was not cleaned and i had to remove the left over content and clean the grill prior to using it we found roaches in the property that explains all the roach baits. We brought sanitation and cleaning supplies hoping to make the place a little comfortable. The toilets were not comfortable to sit on they were too small and the carpet needed to be cleaned. Although we did our best to keep the kids away from the property my son still got sick. We did no cooking inside the property in fear of roaches. We grilled and took the food to a friend's house to eat for Thanksgiving. We checked out and we are being told that we have to pay a cleaning fee and damage fee. I am also being accused by the host that i smoke Marijuana. I respected the house rules and smoked all of my cigars outside of the house. I've used VRBO all the time and i never been accused of anything. The host said that there is vomit on the bed and i should pay for the sheets to be cleaned. To me me this only means that the bedding is not being swapped out or cleaned after guest leaves. Ive taken pictures of everything from damages to roachesin the house. The house is picture perfect but its the things they dont show. This is my experience.
