Summary:
This urban oasis in the Fairfax neighborhood is more than a place to stay – it's a home away from home. The location makes it ideal for medical visits (only a 5 min drive to CLE Clinic and UH), group explorations of CLE or Cuyahoga Valley National Park, or university visits to Case or CSU. The newly renovated home provides a balance of comfort, convenience, and style. With 4 bedrooms and 2.5 baths, the open-concept layout and modern amenities create a comfortable space to unwind.
The Space:
Nestled in the middle of a quiet street, this newly renovated 4 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom home, is cozy, stylish, and boasts natural light in every room. The open concept family room, dining room, and kitchen create a great family-friendly space for conversation and relaxation. The kitchen has a spacious dine-in island providing ample counter space for prepping and cooking, and offers casual seating for breakfast or informal meals. There are also new, state-of-the-art LG appliances. The family room has a large 50 inch smart TV and access to basic cable channels. The first floor also features a queen bedroom with an attached bathroom (stand up shower only). Laundry units (free!) and a half bathroom are also on the first floor.
The second floor has a full bathroom with a tub shower and three bedrooms: a twin, a queen and a king. All bedrooms have 50 inch Smart TVs with basic cable. The king bedroom also had a dedicated work space.
High speed internet is available throughout the entire house. Parking for 4 cars is available in the driveway. Free street parking is available, too.
Guest Access:
There is a keyless entry to the home. Guests are given a code within 72 hours of checking in. Guests have access to the entire home and yard. They also have access to park in the driveway (3 spaces behind each other). The basement and attic are not available to guests.
The Neighborhood:
Fairfax, Cleveland’s Renaissance neighborhood, is home to an increasingly diverse, urban community. Nestled along Opportunity Corridor, the Fairfax neighborhood is easily accessible to the hospitals in the Euclid Corridor (Cleveland Clinic and University Hospital) and University Circle, home of Case Western Reserve University, The Cleveland Art Museum, The Cleveland Natural History Museum, Botanical Gardens, and The Museum of Contemporary Art. It's a neighborhood that had heavy investment due to its accessible location and connectivity through transit, bicycle, natural walking paths and local roads. It is a short drive to downtown Cleveland or the freeway (77 or 90).
Fairfax neighborhood's namesake, Florence Bundy Fairfax, was a decorated civil servant. The neighborhood has a deep heritage and was home to several notable people and a source of inspiration to many such as Langston Hughes, playwright/poet/activist, Garrett Morgan, inventor of the traffic light/gas mask, and Jesse Owens, Olympic gold medalist to name a few. Two nationally recognized institutions, Cleveland Clinic, the 2nd largest employer in Ohio, and Karamu House, the country’s first inter-racial theater and arts center, call Fairfax home.
Getting Around:
It's best to have a car to where you're going. Whether it's through a ride-share service or your own car (we have free driveway parking for up to 3 cars), a car is the easiest and safest method of transportation. There are several bus stops nearby, the Quincy & 85th being the closest.
You can walk to the Cleveland Clinic and Fairfax Market from this home (both about a mile away), but we don't recommend doing so after dark.
Other Things to Note:
-There are 5 steps to get to the front door.
- There is no garage on this property. Car will remain in the driveway.
-Unfortunately, we do not rent to local guests due to the threat of parties. Local guest reservations will be declined.
-No pets are permitted at the property.
-No smoking of any kind anywhere on the property including cigarettes, cigars, marijuana, e-cigs, vaping, etc. Any violators will be asked to leave immediately with no refund in addition to a documented negative review.
PROPERTY DAMAGES – Any damaged property must be reported to the host. We understand accidents happen, and please make sure to notify the host/co-host if damage to the property occurs. Replacement fees and/or reimbursement for damaged items may occur if needed.
GUEST PROFILES – All guests must have a complete profile (including verified ID) with a profile picture.
EXTRA GUESTS – All guests on the reservation must be included in the total # (please no unauthorized guests without permission from the host).
Early Check in & Late Check out: We can accommodate up to 2 hours early check in or late check out for a $25/hour fee. Please give us a minimum of 24 hours for this request in order for us to organize our schedule. Thank you!
As a courtesy to our cleaners, any uncleaned vomit and or blood will result in a $100 charge to the guest.

Guests will have their autonomy in the house. We, a team of expert hosts, are message away if anything is needed or there are questions about the property.
