Had a great time on the property, the deck was great to just relax on and being able to go right down to the water was a huge bonus. The fire pit was also great after dark.

We stayed for 5 days during the 4th of July holiday and it was everything we hoped for and more! It was not only a stunning view but the house had everything we needed. We couldn't have asked for a better rental and will definitely be back next year if we are able!

House was great! Felt like you were right at home and had that "my own lake house" vibes with bins of toys for kids to play with, blankets to use on couches, lots of various items to use down by the water in the boathouse.The bedrooms were bigger than expected from the photos with plenty of room to put suitcases, etc. The boathouse had plenty of life vests for our kids (2, 5, 7 year olds), though we did bring our own just to be safe. Had a blast playing on the dock, "fishing", catching crayfish, and bouncing around on the tubes, canoes, and paddle boats on the water. The boathouse was very nice for relaxing off the deck and was fairly shady with the roof so didn't have to worry about getting burnt.House is pretty high up on the hill with large cement stairs to get down to the boathouse, but wasn't too bad with kids - better than being too close and having to worry about kids and water on the house deck.Location was definitely rural, with not much within 10 minutes, but had a good time taking daily trips out to grocery stores 15 minutes away (Walmart/Price chopper) and some breweries/wineries (Muddy River, Awestruck Cider, Forged Brewery/Haze Winery).Overall was great for our 2 families (4 adults, 3 kids) and 1 dog.

Great Getaway

The house was clean and cozy. The lake was quiet and peaceful. We had a blast swimming and boating. It was truly a delightful getaway and a very memorable weekend.

Family getaway

This is a beautiful place to stay on a small quiet lake with great fishing! Our family enjoyed the time we had together and would choose this home again. The host was very quick to respond with any questions I had.

Great lake front getaway

The host, Ariana was very responsive. 4 generations of my family stayed at this property which allowed us to be within local distance of other relatives. The home was very spacious. We enjoyed everything from from the huge living room to large yard with the fire pit. We can't wait to come back during warmer weather to enjoy the lake!

We would rate this stay as very good but there was not a category for it. Only good or excellent at that end of the spectrum. We had a bit of a rough start checking in as the cleaning gal was still present at the 3 pm check-in time. She apologized profusely for the delay but we were not able to access the house until well after 3:30 pm. We did have to get in her way in the kitchen to put our refrigerated and frozen foods away. There were no trash bags for the kitchen garbage and only a few drops of Dawn left for dishwashing when we didn't want to use the dishwasher for pots and pans. We went to Walmart in Norwich to buy these items. The home was plenty spacious for 4 adults, a 9-year old and an 18-month old. However, it would be very helpful if the dressers and shelves were cleared off to allow people to store their clothes and other necessary items. It would also be beneficial for the kitchen to have more empty cabinets and shelves to store food. The boathouse was stocked with a huge variety of items including floats, life jackets, canoes, paddleboats and fishing equipment, which was great. There were a number of nails sticking up from the boathouse deck flooring and railings that we pounded back in with a found hammer. We kept the 18-month child's sandals on at all times. The firepit area was wonderful to hang at night. Overall, a great family vacation at a wonderful, spacious and picturesque property. We would definitely stay again in the future.

A true Summer Lake house retreat.

My family of five stayed 3 nights while visiting friends in the area. An extremely peaceful lake retreat. The description of the property is spot on. A loaded kitchen, great for cooking all meals. Paddleboats and canoes to use on water, brought our own fishing gear. The lake water was warm, 81 degrees according to the neighbor. Small convenient store in town, with food and bait. Other than that its a 15 min easy drive to any other stores. Communication was great through Vrbo website. Any issues we had were dealt with to our satisfaction. I would stay at this property again. Thank you!
