the property is beautiful and clean, the space is comfortable and cozy, and the atmosphere is to die for! right on the water we were able to bird watch and light a fire in the evening. we had absolutely amazing time the only negative is we hadn’t stayed longer the host made everything easy and included the perfect guide to the house.

This is the perfect waterfront cottage, comfortable, with everything you need. Easy launching of paddle boards and kayaks. Nestled close to excellent hiking trails. In late August, the lake is quiet and serene. One of my favorite places to be. Sunrise float/paddling is one of the highlights for me.

Magical Little House on the Lake

This place provided the perfect 4 day getaway for our anniversary. The house is clean and comfortable. The lake views are beautiful just like the pictures show. The host, Cathy is warm and inviting with excellent communication skills. This was our first time staying in the Berkshires and we picked the perfect place to stay! We'd love to make this a yearly event.

Comfortable Lakefront Cottage

If this cottage was any closer to the lake It'd be a boat. Panoramic views from inside facing the lake and mountain. Cottage very clean with brand new appliances. Everything you'd need to feel at home. Owner is very responsive.

Spent two nights for a winter weekend to explore all the trails. The cottage is updated and like new. Has every thing you need to cook dinners, relax and feels like a home. Owner checks in to make sure you have all the info you need and is accessible if needed. Had a great experience!!

Lake Tranquillity at its finest!

The cottage was clean, up to date, fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. There were 2 docks in which we launched our Kayaks and fished. The deck was such a joy to sit on. As well as the glass enclosed 4 seasons room. Cathy our host was so helpful from start to finish. Shopping, restaurants and hikes wete only minutes away. I would gladly return!!!

Very nice cottage for 2 on Lake Buel

We found our 2 night stay at the waterfront cottage as described. It was clean, comfortable, and perfect for the two of us. Our host Cathy provided a very helpful written description. We shopped for dinner and breakfast fixings at Guidos in Great Barrington. We brought the prepared foods for dinner to the cottage and enjoyed quiet time eating by candlelight. Cooking bacon eggs and fixing coffee in the well equipped kitchen with a view of the lake at breakfast was spectacular. Two nights was not enough time to enjoy this lovely cottage. We look forward to booking a longer stay in the future.

Perfect for couple's

Perfect size for a couple. The views were so pretty with the peak fall foliage. The kitchen supplies were a bit sparse. If I were to have people for dinner there may not be enough silverware. Also, there were only three knives and only one could cut an onion and it was SO dull. Note: bring your own knives. There are flat screen TV's in every room BUT no cable or satellite. It is internet TV only. Other then that it is a really cute and very clean place.

Sweet cabin in a great spot. Despite houses nearby, the property is screened off by plantings and felt very private. Direct access to the lake was a treat. The cabin is airy, bright, and clean. The whole area was quiet, with sounds from a camp across the lake adding to the vibe. Despite a few 90 degree days, it was surprisingly cool inside with 4 ceiling fans and closed windows (per host advice).

The Best Lake Cottage

This adorable waterfront Lake Buel Cottage was exactly what we wanted for an extended weekend Anniversary Trip!!! Literally, step off of the back deck into the water/dock. The best dock around. Beautiful and easy access to the water. Loved leaving the back glass porch door open to hear the lake activities and birds, including hummingbirds. Access to two kayaks, canoe, and two standup paddle boards with oars/paddles and lifejackets was the best activity to take full advantage of this beautiful lake. Very thoughtful host: welcome gift, plenty of supplies, extra sheets and towels, and well stocked kitchenware. Absolutely beautiful location. Quiet neighbors even on a small lake with families playing. Will definitely book again!!!

Fabulous!

We really enjoyed this cottage. The lake is beautiful. The cottage had everything we needed including a stunning view and easy access to the lake. The cottage has paddle boards, kayaks, and canoes. The hosts were very responsive and easy to work with. The lake does allow motor boats but it did not seem noisy at all. I was happy to discover easy access to the Appalachian Trail and had some wonderful hikes that were accessed by a very short drive from the cottage. We will definitely book this cottage again.

No need to look any further!

If you have a smaller crew and are looking for the perfect property, this is it! Clean, comfortable and has almost anything you could need. It Is in the PERFECT location. We were able to walk practically anywhere we wanted to go and even when we did need to drive, it was a quick trip. Ruth was friendly and helpful in all of our communication. We will be staying again if she will have us!

Beach Heaven!

This house was perfect for our stay. So close to the beach and many restaurants. The yard was so nice for our younger adults to gather. The house was so clean and was nicely decorated. I would highly recommend this house for vacation. We are already thinking of renting again. 😄

Perfect little getaway

My husband and I wanted a few days of relaxation, a “mini-moon”, after our wedding. This was perfect! My husband fished while I read on the deck. The kitchen was well equipped so we were able to cook dinner. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom modern and updated. We were so relaxed and comfortable. Cathy was very responsive and welcoming. Nearby downtown Great Barrington was fun with lots of cute restaurants and shops. We could definitely recommend staying here!
