Discover true island paradise in this stunning 2-story beachfront home, perfectly positioned on the pristine shores of North Captiva Island—a car-free oasis accessible only by a short, scenic ferry ride. Here, unspoiled nature surrounds you and golf carts and bikes are the only way to explore.

The top floor features an open living, dining, and kitchen layout with a convenient half bath and a spacious covered lanai offering breathtaking ocean and sunset views. Wrap-around balconies encircle the home, allowing you to enjoy both sunrise and sunset from multiple vantage points.

The first floor or ground floor includes three bedrooms:

A king master suite with a private full bath

Two additional bedrooms, each furnished with a queen and twin bed, sharing a full bath

All bedrooms open to a covered, screened-in deck overlooking the ocean, plus access to a back deck perfect for sunrise viewing—both with wrap-around balcony design.

The ground level is a true standout: a sand-in-your-toes beachfront bar and lounge area complete with a long bar fitted with swing chairs, coastal-style decking and couches, an outdoor kitchen, and a private enclosed shower. The house was set up fantastic. We had plenty of kitchen supplies and linens for the week. Being on the beach was great and we had amazing views of the sunset.

Family time

The inside was clean and kitchen well equipped. The location of the home on the beach was awesome! We had a very rocky first 24 hours due to no water in the home and golf cart broke down halfway to the home from the dock but property manager was able to get someone to come fix the first thing the next morning. Outdoor furniture and cushions were dirty and strewn around apparently due to a storm that came through the day before we arrived. My advice for owners is replace outdoor furniture cushions and power wash furniture and repaint. Indoor couch pillows definitely need replacing due to wear and unsuitable for indoor use. The guest showerhead needs replacing as we were unable to use due to inability to adjust the water pressure. Advice to future guests is bring lots of insect repellents and don’t go outdoors at dusk or dawn! The noseeum mosquitoes are relentless. I received hundreds of bites the first night we were there no joking and the itching is excruciating and a week later I am still suffering.

A slice of paradise

You can’t ask for a better spot on the beach. The house met all of our expectations. Beds were comfy, kitchen was well stocked and the air conditioning was a welcome perk after being on the beach all day.Thank you John and Jennifer!

Real beach vacation

A very unique place right on the beach. Just wonderful peaceful place to reconnect. We had great weather, just a bit windy, but that’s to be expected on the beach. The outside eating area is so fun and commodious. Hope to come back!

Refreshing Stay in North Captiva

The house is on a beautiful quiet little beach. We had someone catch a tiny hammerhead looking shark and saw a proposal right in front of the beachfront we were staying on. Everyday we would go out and find the most amazing sea shells! Such a nice island that has the friendliest group of people staying there. We took a few boat rides and the dolphins swam with us for half of the ride. Everyone was very accommodating. Only tip would be to plan ahead and read the welcome pack that details the necessary arrangements. You'll have the best time!

Comfortable lovely home on the beach.

Great location with stunning sunsets. The house was as depicted, very comfortable and clean with great balconies for watching the sunset over the beach. Efficient air con, which was certainly needed! We had some top up grocery shopping delivered part way through, a great service. A couple of minor issues were dealt with very quickly, thank you. Overall a great stay.

Sunsets, relaxing, sea turtles, tarpon, best vacation ever!

My family and I stayed at Flip Flops for a week and my teens said that this was their favorite vacation! Flip flops is such a perfect place, right ON the breach! Sunsets from the porch, the beach, the patio, every single night. Best view ever! The bonus was that the Sea Turtle nest n the beach in front of the house had its babies emerge July 4th in the middle of the night and we were able to call the North Captiva Sea Turtle folks when we saw a baby sea turtle climbing out of the nest that next morning. We were able to watch two hatchlings go off into the ocean. The house is amazing and had everything you need, plenty of beach toys, noodles, cornhole, board games, so much entertainment! And we did the grocery order through the management company and all the food was put away for us when we arrived. 5 Stars for sure!!!

Beach paradise

The house is excellent. Perfect for a couple and four teenagers. We arrived a couple hours before check-in and thought that we would spend some time on the island away from the house, but the property managers were great about picking us up at the dock and getting us right to the home. We had pre-ordered groceries through the property managers, and they were at the home waiting for us to put away with plenty of dry ice when we arrived. Multiple times through the week we had to order additional groceries and the process is easy and smooth. The house had a lot of spices already stocked. My advice is order the basics first then get there and see everything that’s there before you decide what you need to order as far as spices or plastic wraps. Since there weren’t many restaurants and we were staying at the house most of the time we went through much more food than I had anticipated. Pack lighter on clothing than usual and order more food than you think you need. The only suggestion I would make is that a larger grill would be nice. It was challenging to cook for six people on the small grill provided. But the grill worked fine and cooked well. The countertop icemaker was able to provide plenty of ice for us for the week. There is not a lot to do on the island other than stay at the home and the beach, but it’s perfect for a relaxing week at the beach. The house had many beach chairs, toys, and beach games as well as cards and board games. Many beach towels provided.

Awesome Stay!

This is our 12th trip to North Cap over the last 22 years and Flip Flips is among the best of the various homes we have rented! Great location, great beach and great condition. Very chill.

Great House, Great People, Great Location

Absolutely delighted with our week-long stay at the breathtaking beach house! OMG, beach beauty everywhere from the house

Flip Flops beach house had the best views from every room ( and from the 2 covered wrap around balconies ) on the island. Literally bottom floor beach Sand Bar on the beach !! Spectacular Sunsets and serenity, peace and harmony from the sounds of the surf. House is perfectly appointed for a comfortable stay from infants to young adults. You will not want to leave.

Island 🏝️ Fun

My husband and I truly enjoyed every moment in this beautiful home! Despite it being cooler outside than we hoped, the weather did not interrupt the peaceful setting and the beautiful sunsets! The property was fully equipped in the kitchen and there were beach chairs and umbrellas etc for outdoor activities as well! A great spot for the entire family to have a fun beach experience.

Incredible Views

The home is perfect. Way more beautiful than the pictures online depict. The kitchen is well appointed, the beds are comfortable and the upstairs living area is simply magnificent. If you want rest, relaxation or family fun, this is the place. The island is not yet fully operational. That’s the one negative. We cooked everything night and thoroughly enjoyed it.

The best sunset on the island

Absolutely stunning sunsets and plenty of beach directly in front of house. We have stayed on the island several times and this was by far the most enjoyable. The house is perfect with everything you need for a perfect vacation.

best location on the island!!

This is the third time I have stayed in this house. It is a wonderful home and the best spot on the island!! It sits on a beautiful stretch of beach and beside the runway!! Always my first choice!! The inside is so nice and the outside seating is wonderful!! LOVE IT!!

Vacation

Not very accommodating to your needs.Also serves at the pool and restaurant bar area were not helpful to visitor's focused more on the locals. It was a discussion that everyone was having that was there on vacation hanging out around the pool waiting on food and drinks. We needed a late check out at 12 instead of 9 they were not having it. We found the boat rentals and store for shopping to be great they were very friendly and helpful seemed happy to have your business unlike the restaurant bar area.

Most peace and relaxing vacation ever

My family and I loved our vacation at Flip Flops. Everything was better than described! I’m so happy my family got to experience the laid back atmosphere and totally relax just steps from the beach. Shally’s was amazing with step by step instructions, getting our grocery order and delivering it, and helping us rent an additional golf cart. Everything you needed was already at the property to cook and clean, play, and relax next to the ocean. Loved all the wildlife as well!
