Nestled above Lake Superior, Britton cabin is 1 of 5 stunning, custom built cabins which gazes over a gorgeous pine, cedar and birch forest & is perched at the top of our land w/ a trickling stream nearby & closest walk to the parking area. Oberg is not a pet friendly cabin.

We are an eco friendly property. Please turn off all appliances when not and use or when leaving the cabin. Cabins can heat and cool quickly.

Please place your dirty dishes in the dishwasher and start the cycle. This greatly helps our lean cleaning staff to be able to turn the cabins over.

Pets must be kept on a 6 foot leash at all times, crated when you leave your cabin, and cannot disturb other guests or you may be asked to leave.

Gorgeous property, every single detail was thought out and perfectly executed. Cozy bed, slept like a baby. Delicious coffee, grinder and french press available to use. Nice, reponsive owners and management. We will be back no question.

Onion River Road connects directly to Jackpot/High Climber MTB trail, which is 16 miles point to point. Guests can reach Britton Peak Trailhead via Jackpot as well as the Superior Hiking Trail all 2 minutes away from your cabin. Our heavily forested property and nostalgic cabins with modern amenities offer guests a one of a kind experience unlike any other on the North Shore. Tofte Trails is situated on 17 beautifully forested acres overlooking Lake Superior. The property is manicured with 20 additional trees (Bonny Blues, Moonglow Junipers, and Eastern Red Cedars) and Minnesota native's are planted around the cabins that bloom throughout Spring, Summer and Fall. Winter is full of endless adventure and activity with neighboring cross country ski, snowshoeing and altai ski trails at Sugarbush Trail system. Lutsen Mountains is a 5 minute drive away offering downhill skiing and snowboarding upon a Lake Superior backdrop. Of course you cannot beat summer on the North Shore. Adventure out on Onion River Road and hike to the top of Oberg Mountain complete with stunning valley views and an overlook of Lake Superior. Come back to your cabin and sit out on your private patio and relax with a good book, build a fire in your smokeless Solo Stove or simply breathe in the 360 degrees of nature around you and allow yourself deep rejuvenation in a forest bathing atmosphere. The cabins are equipped with a gas fireplace, mini split air conditioning, full kitchen and bathroom, in floor heat, walk in tile showers, automatic roller blind that doubles as a projector screen for movie night, gas patio grill, oversized 10' patio slider for incredible forest views directly from bed with peakaboo Lake views depending on the time of year (Gitchi, Kadunce, Sugarbush). Water fall season is a must in early Spring with a natural stream meandering past Oberg, Britton and Sugarbush cabins. We additionally offer a group fire pit with adirondack seating & picnic tables with direct Lake Superior Views a short walk from your cabin on property.
