Ha encontrado la propiedad de vacaciones cuyo nombre lo dice todo GEMSTONES, ubicado en Southampton, Bermudas. Gemstones es una villa de lujo en su propia playa privada. A su llegada al acercarse a la propiedad, todo lo que puede decir es "¡GUAU!". The house is lovely and on such a GORGEOUS beach away from the hustle and bustle of the more busy beaches on the island. Lorna is very accommodating and gave us very helpful information with organizing plans! Would definitely stay here again!

The beach access and water views were outstanding. The beach felt very secluded, relaxing, and had great snorkeling. Very easy walking to the bus stop, Henry VIII, Henry VIII Pantry, and the lighthouse. Horseshoe Bay is also walkable in 20-30 minutes. The home is very clean, well-stocked, and had plenty of space for our family of 5. We ate most of our meals at the house. The kitchen and grill had everything we needed for preparing meals. We had access to a shared utility room with plenty of beach supplies such as chairs, boogie boards, and toys.Lorna was an amazing host and provided us with recommendations for airport transportation, grocery shopping, places to eat, and spots for sightseeing.

We had an amazing 30th anniversary week at Lorna & Greg's property - Gemstones. It's a truly perfect house and location in Bermuda. Everything exceeded our expectations, and Lorna was a great communicator. While the tourist beach of Horseshoe Bay is a 25 minute walk away (if you want to explore), you would be much happier just enjoying their mostly private beach cove of Crossbay Beach right down the path from the house. We went there every day and stayed for 4-5 hours, using Lorna's provided beach chairs and umbrella. Perfect, and like a postcard setting...you felt like no one else was around. Also, you're only about 20 minutes from downtown Hamlton for restaurants and exploring. And if you don't want to buy food for the house, just bring coffee along. You can walk to the Reefs Resort nearby in 10 minutes and have breakfast or lunch there. Or you can walk just 2 minutes to Henry VIII restaurant. They have a pantry to supply beer, wine, fish cake sandwiches, or their delightful baked chicken (a local's secret that we brought to the beach on 3 occasions for lunch!). And when you use the Hitch Bermuda app for taxis, it's very easy, and most of the drivers knew where Lorna & Greg's house was for picking us up (everyone driving the taxis were so nice). 5-stars doesn't describe our time well enough. We really can't wait to come back again. Highly recommend!

Gemstones family getaway

My family spent 4 nights at Gemstones and had a great time! Gemstones unit was extremely comfortable. Slept 6 (2 couples, 2 singles) comfortably using the loft. Ate in several times, kitchen was well equipped. We had the beach to ourselves most of the time and the snorkling was great! Lorna lives on site and is extremely responsive during check in and answering any questions we had. There were other guests in the smaller unit but we barely knew they were there. Walkable to Gibbs Lighthouse and Henry VIII for great chicken for lunch and sushi! Great sunsets and sunrises from the deck..the view was unbelievable! Would absolutely stay there again.

From start to finish our stay in Bermuda was amazing. Lorna is the best host ever and was readily available when we had any questions. The location was amazing and the beach was perfect. Easy to get transportation for any excursions. I wish I was waking up in Bermuda again for breakfast on the patio. We’ll be back for sure !

Lovely Gemstones

Gemstones was a gorgeous property! The house complete with the views is a rare find in rentals. The spaciousness of the rooms could easily handle large groups. Updated appliances were featured throughout the house making it comfortable for us all. Quick access to the beach as well as to the bus stop and to an excellent restaurant made our days easy. Outside deck and seating areas were enjoyed all throughout the day. Beach toys and equipment were at our fingertips if we wished. Information about the house as well as the surrounding area was presented thoroughly through the VRBO site and through books left at the house. The only drawback for us was with the TVs: 1. There was no instruction sheet letting us know how to make them work. Lorna and George were terrific hosts! Go to Gemstones! You won't be disappointed.

So good to be back!

This was our third time staying at beautiful Gemstones, and we absolutely love it!! We have a large family and there is more than enough room for everyone to sleep comfortably, as well as all the amenities a family needs (well stocked kitchen, laundry, beach toys, chairs, etc). Most of all, you can’t beat the location, I would’ve been more than happy to swim, snorkel, and build sandcastles on Cross Bay Beach every single day! And the view from the gorgeous house is spectacular!! Lorna and Greg are amazing hosts - so friendly and warm, and always quick to respond to any questions you may have. If you have the opportunity to stay here, do it!! You will love it just as we do!!

We could not have been happier with our stay at Gemstones. The view was literally breathtaking (I gasped when we first walked in the house). The beach that is down the steps is beyond gorgeous. Family Vacation

Gemstones was the perfect spot for our family. 6 adults and 2 children. Kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our meals when we didn’t eat out. Snorkeling gear was great to have . It is a short walk to Church bay where you can snorkel (big beautiful fish swimming close to beach). The kids loved having the beach right there. We stayed in main house and had plenty of room for everyone.

**Amazing Vacation Home with Stunning Ocean Views and Excellent Amenities**

Our stay at Lorna's vacation home was nothing short of spectacular! The panoramic views of the beach and ocean were breathtaking, creating a serene and picturesque backdrop for our entire trip. The house is spacious, well-maintained, and equipped with all the amenities that a family or large group could possibly need, from a snorkeling gear and floaties to comfortable bedrooms and entertainment options. One of the highlights of our stay was the accessibility. The nearby bus stops made it incredibly easy to explore the island without the hassle of driving. We were just a short ride away from several beautiful beaches and popular tourist spots, making our daily adventures convenient and enjoyable. The location couldn't be more perfect. Not only were we close to multiple stunning beaches, but there was also a fantastic restaurant just a short walk away. The food there was delicious, offering a variety of dishes that pleased everyone in our group. Lorna, the owner, was exceptionally kind and communicative throughout our stay. She made sure we had everything we needed and offered great recommendations for local attractions and tips on the island. Her hospitality truly enhanced our experience, making us feel right at home. We couldn't have asked for a better place to spend our vacation. This home, with its amazing views, excellent location, and wonderful amenities, exceeded all our expectations. We can't wait to return!

Perfect spot

Gemstones was the absolute perfect home for our family to vacation. The home was very comfortable and the location was great. The views were just breathtaking and the private beach was incredible. We brought snorkels and so glad we did as the snorkeling was great right at the beach. This is a rare case where the pictures do not properly capture the overall experience of the home, so it more than exceeded our expectations. Another added bonus was Lorna and her family. She was so kind and hospitable. My kids even got to play with her granddaughters…a treat for them. Thank you for everything, Lorna and family!

Magical! Practically perfect!

This is a stunning property steps from the hidden gem of Cross Bay Beach. The house itself is elegant and well-appointed. There is a cook’s kitchen, towels are fluffy and the beds are extremely comfortable. You can walk to the Reefs, Henry the Eighth, Gibbs Lighthouse, the Rail Trail and Horseshoe Beach. The bus stops at the top of the driveway and is accessible, friendly and easy to use. Or just stay on Cross Bay Beach or the balcony at Gemstones and watch the whales breaching out at sea and the breathtaking sunsets. This would be enough! Gemstones is owned and operated by Lorna and Greg Wilson, who practice the kind of gracious hospitality that you read about in old novels. A truly magical experience in this extraordinary place!

BEAUTIFUL spot & fabulous accommodations

My family and I made plans to head to Bermuda on vacation with very little previous knowledge about the island - thankfully we got lucky and picked this beautiful house and it came with the best views of our entire trip and wonderful support/ambassadorship from the hosts! We stayed for 5 nights and unfortunately, the weather prevented us from exploring some of the things at the top of our list - but - this place was so great, we really feel like our trip was lackluster without those experiences at all. When things came up, Lorna was there (omnipresent for support but we had our own space - ideal combo). When problems or questions we had arose - they were fixed so quickly we were able to move right along and keep enjoying our vacation seamlessly. I can't recommend this place highly enough. We already have told everyone since we've been back that if they ever go to Bermuda - THIS is THE place to stay!

Awesome Stay

We returned to Bermuda after a 30 yr hiatus. We first moved here with the US Navy in 1993 for a shortened tour. Our time here was magical then and we had alot of Family visit then. We decided to relive that time and had alot of the same family and more come to stay and enjoy this magical place with us. A little piece of heaven in Bermuda...

Our family had a wonderful time at Gemstones. Lorna could not have been more helpful and responsive. The semi-private beach is so close and the water was spectacular. An added bonus was all of the beautiful fish our family found in the waters along the rocky areas. The location is a quick walk to Henry's for food, cocktails and beverages, The Reefs resort another option for food and cocktails, Horseshoe Bay (one of the best in the world) and the lighthouse. We took cabs (quite pricey-bring lots and lots of cash) to Hamilton, the Dockyard, St George (would have skipped that - shops have moved to Dockyard with the cruise ships) and various other sites. The home was better than pictured and had fabulous views from several balconies and windows. One things to note - downstairs bathroom can get a little slippery from shower steam. We would definitely return!
