Clean and quite!

We enjoyed our stay, the apartment was spacious and quite. The property manager responded quickly to our requests and the apartment was very clean and located close to public transit.

Great Stay

Very nice apartment. Great layout. Big bedrooms. Our host was very helpful and always answered our questions within minutes of a text. We also didnt have any problems parking the whole weekend.

Comfortable

The apartment match pictures and the description provided. I spent most of my time in the apartment while my daughter attend her workshop. I felt at home. Only suggestion is the hallway walking to the apartment, the upkeep needs improvement and maybe put some air fresheners stickers out.

Internet was terrible. Broken. Las day no internet at all. I lost so much time and it put my partners and myself in trouble, then in crisis mode because I could not send the work on time.Kitchen appliance was very poor with only one pot and a pan. Nothing to do the vegetables. Neighbors yelling. Light going left and right around the curtains.Some light switches not working.So beside the nice design of the apartment after hour you discover the limitations It really hurt me professionally.I don't remember giving such a bad rating anywhere I went the last 15 years. That's all I can say,

Stayed the weekend for a Convention

Property was very well kept and accommodated us well. We didn’t spend much time there as we were out most of the day but it was nice to come back to a place like this.

Great Chicago Getaway near U of C

We had a great stay! The location was fantastic, making it easy to explore the area, and the property was nice and comfortable. The owner was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our visit. Check-in and check-out were seamless, which made the whole process hassle-free. Overall, it was a convenient and pleasant experience.

For the price and the area it was a 5 but there is room for improvement overall as compared against all vacation rentals I’ve used. The electronic door lock for the unit is not properly calibrated to securely lock every time without having to fight with it. But the neighborhood isn’t bad, we didn’t have issues finding street parking right out front, the neighbors on the floor are very nice, & the L stop is only about a 5 minute walk. Buses were a bit of a pain in the area as they weren’t as reliable as the trains. Took up to 45-60 min to get to downtown. Not close food options really but there’s a Jewel grocery nearby. The kitchen setup could use a few more basis pieces to be more functional like a baking sheet. The included consumable amenities were low to almost empty upon arrival (shampoo, conditioner, hand soap).Two towels were provided per occupant but no community bath hand towel or kitchen towel just roll of paper towels. The bed pillows were one of the worse aspects of the unit as they’re the lowest grade Walmart sells. Beds were comfortable though & living /dining were comfortable. Some initial issues with tv/wifi were very quickly resolved. Confusion & difficulties about laundry were resolved by day 3 of 7. Host representative was responsive and polite.

Negative experience

It's not often that I'm a complainer. But I have to say, we were appalled by the rental. First and foremost the locks on both front glass doors have been bashed out so anyone can get in. They don't even latch. We never had to open the lockbox, we just walked right in.We had to spend time attempting to get the tops of the windows to close. Ultimately we couldn't force them all closed. It was the biggest problem on friday and Saturday nights when we faced honking cars, fighting tenants, amd very loud cussing from outside. The internet, and therefore TV, did not work at all. We contacted the manager but it sounded like we needed to set a time for them to come look and we were on vacationwith my family! The coffee maker also didn’t work (which seems to be missing a piece). The "fully stocked" kitchen was hardly that. 2 pots and no way to use the oven (no baking sheets or anything). In the main bedroom there was a fitted sheet and lightweight blanket - not good for when it was snowing and we couldn't get the windows to close all the way. We were left 2 towels for 4 people at a 5 night stay. I will say there is plenty of street parking. available.
