Read the Fine Print!!
The room was really nice and we have stayed at the Compass Cove resort before and really like it and the location. The main issue with this booking was that the fine print in the listing says that you are not allowed to use a lot of amenities at the resort. My daughters were heartbroken that the resort staff would not allow them to use the water slides. My wife was very unhappy that she was not allowed to buy coffee from the on site coffee shop that serves Starbucks. That is on me for not reading the fine print. I would not have booked the room if I had. Don’t make my mistake. What is not on me, is that the main listing showed an available amenity as laundry and sited a coin operated laundry room in the building. Then in the fine print it says that we were not allowed to use the laundry on site. Since complaining about this to the host they changed the listing to “nearby laundromat”. We are a family of 5 and were only given 7 towels for the entire week. I was forced to lose a half a day of my vacation to go find a laundromat and wash towels for hours. This was false advertising and is the reason for my negative review. When I brought this up to the property management company they only offered me a late check out (2 hours later). I have no use for late checkout because I have a long drive home and needed to leave early. I would not have booked this room if I had known that I would be required to go find a laundromat and wash their towels.
