Beautiful country estate perfect for reunions, retreats or large family getaway!

Escape to the country - vacation in style! Come to the Wellington Overlook and bring the whole gang. Perfect for family reunions, small weddings, craft retreats, quiet romantic getaways - and everything in between. We offer sleeping space for up to 23 people with 6 bedrooms and 3-1/2 baths. When you stay with us - you are in the middle of it all - but can relax in the middle of nowhere!

We are located in a quiet country setting, in western PA's Amish Country, but if you are seeking adventure or exploring is your game - it abounds nearby! We are a short 15-20 minute drive to several recreational lakes for fishing, boating, and beaches (bring your boat - lots of room to park). There are also several wineries and distilleries and beautiful state parks for hiking, or exploring the paved bike trails nearby. Take a lazy ride down the Shenango River in an inner tube or kayak/canoe, with rentals available in Greenville and Jamestown - again only 15-20 mins away!

Within approximately 30 minutes you can adventure to places like Pymatuning Spillway (come feed the fish and watch the ducks walk on their back!), the quaint shops at Conneaut Lake, the Deer Park Petting Zoo, the Grove City Shopping Outlets, Keystone Safari, or explore the rock gorges of McConnell's Mills, then swing by the quiet eclectic village of Volant for crafting and tasting experiences on your way home.

Within about an hour, you can take the family Erie to attend minor league baseball/hockey action, concerts, or explore Presque Isle State Park in Erie (gorgeous beaches, paved biking paths with rentals of bikes, kayaks and paddle boats). The entire family can relax and spend a day at Waldameer Adventure Park & Water World. Head east and explore historic Franklin & Oil City (birthplace of the oil boom, craft shops and antique stores), or travel west to Youngstown Ohio for concerts, plays, shopping, restaurants, and their own version of minor league baseball/hockey.

Pittsburgh and Cleveland are slightly over an hour away, with their world-famous museums, zoos, aviary, botanical gardens, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, professional sports teams, and food/crafting/tasting experiences galore!

The centerpiece of our home is the Great Room. Marvel at the exclusive wooden exposed beam construction overhead, as you bask in the glow of the magnificent two-story granite fireplace. Sit and enjoy your favorite beverage on the interior balcony overlooking the fire while you catch up on your favorite book. Incorporate the grand staircase into your intimate private wedding, and then have space for all the important people in your life to join you for the weekend stay. If family time is key - simply enjoy gathering together playing board games or cards, while listening to the crackling fire, as you stream your favorite shows on the huge TV.

Options abound with the Great Room! We can set things up for large gatherings of friends or family and using the numerous couches and recliners in both the GR or connecting TV lounge area, along with family-friendly table space. Bring the crafting gang, request use of the portable tables and chairs to set up your sewing machines or scrap-booking tables around the fireplace.

There is tons of lush greenspace outside to setup the volleyball net, cornhole boards, or play a game of kickball or frisbee football. Go for a quiet walk in the Amish countryside, or bring your fishing poles to try your luck in our own private pond! Sit and enjoy the sunrise and sunsets off the large wrap-around porch and quiet patio area. Check out the small vineyard or fruit tree orchard, as you listen to and watch the abundant wildlife that surrounds this magnificent home! A paved driveway, and ample private parking allows you to be off the road - not that it's very busy anyhow!

We offer 6 bedrooms, ranging from the private Master Bedroom to our "lodge-style" rooms with multiple-bed sleeping accommodations. Sleeping space for 23 adults is what makes this estate home truly unique! Comfortable linens are provided for all beds.

A private full bath is provided on each floor (total of 2) with showers/toilet/vanity areas, plus an immense Master Bath/Sitting Area equipped with jacuzzi-style tub, and a separate private shower/tub area. Off the Great Room, we also offer a private half-bath as well. We provide towels/washcloths for each guest, and a large high-capacity washer and dryer are available on-site as well for your added convenience.

There is ample kitchen space with fridge, stove/oven and microwave. We provide nearly all the typical kitchen gadgets and place settings you will need. There are large spaces to setup private catering for your party or event, or bring on the crockpots, as you set up for your scrap-booking girls weekend away! A large formal dining room provides even more space to gather together and eat, sew, or just visit over a rousing family game of Monopoly!

Fully air-conditioned and heated, this is a great place to enjoy any season. There is tons of dresser and closet space, and room to spread out and enjoy one of the 8 large screen TVs (all Wi-Fi enabled) - or stream to your favorite device as you flop by the cozy fire after a long day exploring! From a hunting trip or fishing getaway to one of many local destinations, to a church youth retreat, or as a gathering place for class reunions or family vacations. The options are truly endless!
