Beautiful large lake home for a family retreat, have fun by the water!

Property on the water, beautiful sunsets. Sandy beach, boat house, dock for fishing (poles are available), outdoor grill, firepit, and walk to golf course. Two kitchens and outdoor grill. For evening fun, TV with Wii sports and Mario Kart. Jet ski lift (if you own a jet ski).

For extra fee, water ski boat with driver, surf boat with driver or lake cruise (with boat driver). Water ski or barefoot ski demo, or ski lessons. Wake surf lessons available. Leg driven kayaks, water tramoline, paddle boards, swim mat.

Sleeps 11 (9 beds plus coach and blow up bed). Four bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. a Pak and Play and toddler blow up bed available. We allow 12 adults and up to two additional children 12 and under. Dock to fish off. Large main kitchen, great for chefs, and lower-level kitchenette, great for happy hour. Eight miles from the town of Madison. Close to The Lakes golf course.

Our family had a great experience staying at the home over the Labor Day holiday. We were a large group, and the house provided us plenty of space indoors & out. The owners were great to work with and very accommodating.

We had an amazing time at Lake Madison this weekend. The home is beautiful and equipped with everything and anything you would need. You have your own little beach and dock. It was perfect for our little family getaway.!

The house is stunning! Also Julie the home owner was very helpful and quickly responded to any questions we had. The weather was overcast so didn't spend as much time outside due to mosquitoes but did get some games in on the deck. This home has many levels to spread out and relax which is all we wanted is family, food, and laughter. We got all three! The home was clean and tidy and we left it that way as we departed. We made all our meals at the house was easy to cook and clean up. The master bed could use an upgrade but other than that a perfect long weekend.

Lake Madison

We rented this VRBO for a work function in Madison, SD. We did not intend on being there a lot, but needed a place for myself and three coworkers to stay, as the hotels were sold out. The house had not been cleaned in a very long time. The master bath was filthy, microwave was dirty with food particles stuck to the sides, and there were dirty Kleenex in the sheets. Cobwebs were in the windows and on the lights, and that is just the beginning. I contacted the owner on Wednesday night, my first night there. She responded 48 hours later that her cleaning lady could not come until Monday, but that her son could come over and clean the bathroom. I had already cleaned the other bathroom by then and I was already several days into the stay, so it didn’t really matter at that point. The description also listed a Smart TV. Upon arrival, I reached out to the owner for the WiFi password, and was informed that the home did not have internet. How can you have a Smart TV with no internet? The TV was only set up to watch VHS and DVDs. No cable, no antenna, and no streaming service. I appreciate that the intent of the owners was to “share their beautiful lake home”, but this home needs a good deep clean, WiFi, and declutter before it is rented again. I was incredibly disappointed.
