Maine Lake House 15 Feet from the water!
Beautiful Lake House on Bog Lake in Northfield, Maine for rent. Northfield is perfectly located 40 miles from the Canadian border, 18 miles from the Ocean, 10 miles from historical Machias, Maine (site of the first revolutionary naval battle) and only 2 hours from Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park.
The house sleeps 6 comfortably and the bunkhouse sleeps 4-5. The main house has a huge 22x16 screen porch that overlooks the lake. House also has a huge lakeside deck which is less than 15 feet from the beach. There is a huge backyard and miles and miles of wooded country roads to walk or ride a bike. House has TV with DVD player (no cable connection), dishwasher, clothes washer/dryer, a fully equipped kitchen, a gas grill and a canoe, a 4 Person Paddle boat and 2 kayaks for you to use. A new Cell Tower is less than 700 yards from the house giving you good cell reception. The lake has excellent fishing and is full of bass, trout, perch and even salmon!
The house has 1 bathroom with tub/shower. Renters are asked to bring their own towels, sheets, and pillowcases. The main house has 1 queen-size bed in the master bedroom, a queen size pull out couch in the living room, and a set of twin-sized bunk beds in the 2nd bedroom. The bunkhouse has 2 full-size beds and one single sized cot. The house has a spacious living room with a fireplace, huge kitchen and dining area overlooking the lake and lots of other unique features. This is a NON-SMOKING rental. Dogs are permitted with permission from the landlord.
The lake is perfect for swimming and has a very shallow grade, making it safe for younger swimmers. A huge glass sliding door and several large windows face the water and give you breath-taking views of the lake and its amazing sunsets. Lots of privacy, yet close to town for groceries and such...
