Living in the beautiful landscaped French countryside without the hassle of country-living. Located in a tranquil neighbourhood, our villa is perched on the hills surrounding the 'fruit-confit' town of Apt, also known as the capital of Parc Naturel Regional du Luberon. Our villa is ideally located as a base to explore some of the most breathtaking sights in south of France. Villages like Gordes, Roussillon, Bonnieux, Buoux, Lacoste, Goult, Menerbes, Rustrel, Fontaine de Vaucluse, Mt Ventoux are nearby and make potentially good cycling day-trips destinations. Daily conveniences like supermarkets, bakeries, pharmacies, hairdressers, clothes boutiques are located within the town of Apt, accessible in 5mins by car. A family-friendly and fully equipped space- a home away from home!
The home, Villa de l'Olivier, was built in 2011. Preserving the signature exterior style of homes in the Provencal region, it boasts a modern interior furnishing. Our home can accommodate up to 6 adults and 2 children with its 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. A garden centred around an olive tree, a 4 x 8 m pool with deck chairs and parasols, as well as an outdoor terraced dining area with a BBQ, makes it the ideal place to chill out with family or friends and enjoy the famed sunny, blue skies and warmth of the South of France. Wifi is available so you could be remote-working with magnificient Luberon mountain views.
One only need to read Peter Mayle's famed "A Year in Provence" to imagine what Apt and the surroundings are like. The region is famed for its lush, green mountains and valleys as well as landscapes dotted with wine chateaus, vineyards, lavender and coquelicot fields, cherry blossoms depending on the season. The natural beauty and formations also make the region conducive for cycling, climbing, hiking, river canoeing, mountain biking- a haven for sports-enthusiasts. If you are more Cezanne than Louis Armstrong, art schools like SCAD Lacoste may be your hangout.

We are independent people as guests but growing up in Asia, hospitality to our own guests is of utmost importance to me. The centre of Apt is Roman-esque, having been conferred the title of Apta Julia by Julius Caesar himself in around 125 BC. The Roman influence can still be seen in certain structures such as the Cathedrale St Anne and the Pont Julien. The confluence of history, dramatic geographical landscapes and agriculture are part of lends Apt its natural charms.

Our villa gives you the opportunity to experience the authentic southern France life. Positioned in a tranquil neighbourhood on the hills of Luberon's capital, Apt, the surroundings allow you to feel cocooned during your holiday sojourn and yet, at the same time, be close to the amenities and adventures should the desire arise. The Colorado Tree-top Adventures for adults and children are but a 19 min drive to Rustrel. The famous Ochre Trail, an 18 min drive to Roussillon. Bonnieux and Lacoste with its exquisite views, art galleries, gastronomy are but also a 19 min drive. Dramatic cliffs and purple lavender fields in Buoux are but a 15 min drive. Gordes, named as one of the most beautiful villages of France, is but a 25 min drive. Sporty types explore these villages by road cycling or if you are more thrill-seeking, there are multitudes of MTB off-road trails to discover, some of which are accessible direct from the villa.
