The best part of the cabin was the location in regards to gatlingburg. Short drive away. Quiet area. The house was nice, but the bed needs updated. Very firm and uncomfortable.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay. The location was great, lots of bears around. We had a maintenance issue and it was taken care of very quickly. The shower was wonderful and a nice surprise- plenty of towels/toiletries for 2 people. The games all worked reasonably well. The beds were the downfall, they could definitely use some freshening up and extra blankets for the bunks.

Bear-able Cabin

Saw bears at or near cabin every day of our stay. Cabin was very nice and cozy. Loved the gaming at the cabin. Highly recommend this cabin.

I love how everything is so close to each other in the cabin. My children thoroughly enjoyed the pool table and air hockey and the hot tub, they're teenagers. Definitely would stay again. The customer service is incredible and I felt very at home

For the most part, the stay was good. We had a wonderful time visiting the area and all it has to offer. Our only complaints come from the condition of the cabin/rental property. The shower head had a powerful leak that sprayed water out of the shower when turned on past the half way mark so you had limited shower pressure. The shower surround itself had a crack in the floor and the tub had a few small bugs in it. The shower fixtures were missing some of its trim pieces. There was mold on the bathroom walls & ceiling. The cracked floor tile in the kitchen would shift when stepped on and catch your toe when barefoot. The pinball machine was broken and would throw an error code when plugged so it could not be played. The fire places did not function properly, (the one in the living room did not function at all and the control panel was falling off. The bedroom fireplace did not put out any heat, though it would at least light up.) Other than that, the cabin was cozy, well stocked with utensils, cookware and basic kitchen appliances and everything was clean. There was no cabin specific trash can outside, so you had to carry your trash to the compactor at the entrance of the complex. It does not seem monitored or well maintained due to the amount of trash that was all over the ground in the unloading area and area surrounding the compactor. We accidentally backed over a container of mustard that subsequently exploded and left mustard all over our tires and vehicle.

The check-in process was fine, no problems there. The pinball machine, arcade game and air hockey game all worked. The jets on the jacuzzi were dirty and left a ring in the tub after running it. Luckily, we ran it first before getting in it. Two of the jets did not work. It cooled off enough at night that we could use the hot tub, thankfully. The vent on the side of the jacuzzi was rusted and nasty. When we went to get in the bed, we pulled the comforter back and there were hairs on the sheets from someone else. We also opened the sheets for the sleeper sofa to see if they would work for the bed, they had makeup on them. This getaway was for our 20th wedding anniversary, needless to say, we were disappointed.

Had Fun

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin was great. Clean linens. Had everything we needed. The only issue we had was the refrigerator and the washer. The freezer wasn’t cold. I guess there’s been issues with that before so we followed the directions left for us but all of our frozen food still ruined. Also, it didn’t have ice and the note asks not to put ice in the freezer. (I’m sure because there would be water everywhere). The washer does not spin out so everything I washed I had to squeeze out then lay outside for the day before I could dry it. We stayed 5 nights so we needed things washed. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay. The beds were comfortable and clean. We would stay again if the refrigerator was replaced.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I reserved “Remote Rendezvous “ for my parents to stay in while I was in a larger cabin with my kids and grandkids. My parents prefer a quieter environment and, with the weather forecast of hurricane Helene, had planned to stay in and watch DVDs and relax most of the time. The description of the unit stated they had of DVD player. Upon arrival we found out it did not have a DVD player and management informed us that the owners had decided not to replace it when it broke. They stated that wasn’t a problem because they had streaming to the smart TV. However, the entire Resort area had no Internet. My family was in a cabin just around the corner and we had Internet due to the fact that the owners of our cabin had purchased their own private Internet and did not use the resort Internet. We attempted to purchase two separate DVD players to use ao they could watch movies, however, in both cases neither DVD player worked with the TVs that were provided. The cabin also smelled a little musty and necessitated the purchase of a couple air fresheners to make it a more pleasant stay. could not get the pinball machine to work and could find no way to turn off the ceiling fan in the living room, even after contacting maintenance. Other than that, the cabin was clean and functional, and all other amenities were provided. The management company was extremely responsive and helpful and very kind. I just don’t think I would reserve this particular cabin again to stay at. All cabins are privately owned so it just varies cabin to cabin. The larger cabin that my family stayed at (Smoky Mountain Views) was amazing and excellent!

September 2024 Stay

The TV service was awful. Need to get a different service. Would not stay connected to internet.. The TV in the bedroom would not connect to internet. They sent repair guy out and it worked only one night out of the 5 night stay. After the repair the TV in living room started having connection issues as well. I did not call back to have them come back out to repair. The cabin was nice, needs some updating and deep cleaning. Black spots on the carpet and floor in living/game area. We have stayed with Bear tracks several times and will continue. This cabin just needs some attention.
