We had a fantastic family vacation at Cal Domino. The host was amazing, he went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The welcome package was such a thoughtful touch, especially after a long day of travel. He gave a very detailed walkthrough of the house, which made everything easy to settle into. When I asked if a blender was available, he even went out of his way to buy one for us, such great hospitality! The villa itself was perfect for our family and we’d absolutely stay here again.

A week at the villa

Nigel is a great host! When we arrived we found a full fridge with cool drinks and food. What a nice surprise! The house is beautiful situated on a hill and is very clean.

Nice villa with a wonderful view and with nigell the perfect host

Wonderful stay in casa cal domino were we had really everything to enjoy our holiday. (And we are used yo a lot). We had the best reception ever from the owner nigel with also a big welcome’s pack in the refrigerator . So hospitality 11 at 10 for example we hired electric bikes and 30 minutes later there was electric gor charging them in the garage. We looked for a dog beach and few time later he phoned town council and send us the places. Thx a lot nigel for making our holiday even more beautiful.

On the hill with an incredible view

It is difficult to say what we prefer. Everything is nice in the villa Cal Domino. All the rooms are as practical as luxurious. The house is very big and have a real charm. The kitchen is functional. And the terrace with the little lanterns is like a studio decor because is so perfect. The swimming pool and the hot tube are excellent. From each room, you can have an incredible view of the green valley, the urbanization and the sea in the back ground. The value of Nigel’s welcome is “ten stars”, very nice and attentive. Our arrival was well prepared. The fridge was with beverages for everybody, local food and a very big fruit basket was on the table. Thank you Nigel. Don’t change anything! If you come in Calonge, try to stay in the villa Cal Domino. We totally recommend.

Villa Maravillosa

Han sido una de nuestras mejores vacaciones, sin duda. La villa tiene unas vistas espectaculares, un jardín muy cuidado con piscina y jacuzzi espectaculares. Nigel es un anfitrión detallista, atento y amable. La casa cuenta con todas las comodidades, y en la cocina no falta un detalle. La ubicación es perfecta, cerca de supermercados y playas únicas como "Platja Castell". Sin duda repetiremos, y lo recomendaremos a familiares y amigos. Gracias por todo, nos sentimos como en casa.

Super séjour à Calonge

Nigel a été très disponible pendant notre séjour : merci à lui pour le pain et les croissants lors de ces visites ! Très belle maison. Piscine très agréable avec une très belle vue. Mooi huis met zwembad en jaccuzi.

Prima locatie en voorzieningen. Ruim zwembad, keuken en slaapkamers. Hele fijne host (Nigel) met persoonlijk ontvangst en hele korte communicatielijnen. Komt 2x per week zwembad ed schoonmaken. We verbleven daar tijdens een zeer warme periode en dan is een airco in de woonkamer en slaapkamers (nu alleen airco in bovenste slaapkamer) een verbeterpunt. Ook de algemene schoonmaak van het huis kan beter. Maar voor de rest prima verblijf gehad in dit mooie deel van Spanje

Super séjour

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour en famille dans la maison de Nigel qui a un sens de l’accueil peu commun..à notre arrivée nous attendait un frigo bien rempli avec de quoi se sustenter et boire pour nous remettre du voyage !!La maison est très agréable et très bien équipée. La piscine est parfaite et le jacuzzi un plus très très appréciable. De très belles criques aux alentours .. notre préférée la fosca, une magnifique plage entourée de pinèdes avec une eau cristalline..une semaine c’est court pour tout découvrir. Une maison comme celle-ci accueillant les chiens est à retenir pour ceux qui comme nous ne peuvent se passer de leur toutou pendant les vacances. Nous reviendrons.. Merci Nigel

Wonderful villa, beautiful views, fabulous part of Spain and the best welcome pack ever !!!

Had a brilliant week here in April 2019. Villa was lovely. Plenty of space for our family of 4, plus Granny. Pool and jacuzzi were both used, even at this time of year. Nigel was the most welcoming host I have ever met, in some 30+ villa stays in my life. Having landed in the evening, we were so grateful for a welcome pack that fed us all, Saturday evening, Sunday breakfast and beyond. Cold beer and chilled wine was a delightful way to start our holiday week. The villa provided a great base for the week to explore the Costa's amazing coast line, as well as medieval villages and the charm that is historic Girona. (Despite the natural beauty on offer, my teenage daughters still managed to convince me to take them to the very plush outlet shopping village about an hour south of here !!). The home is very comfortable, modern, with all the trimmings. Kitchen was fabulous, no need to buy all the odds and ends needed for cooking. Pool and jacuzzi were lovely, secluded, with amazing views. Thoroughly recommend this home if you're ever in this part of Spain. Nigel, thank you so much for your hospitality.

Welcome to Casa Cal Domino. My family and I have been living in this part of Spain since 2004 and we love the 300 days of sunshine and outdoor lifestyle of Catalunya and this is very much reflected in the style, peace and tranquility of the Villa. I personally look after my clients so you don't have to go through a rental agency and I am on always contactable should you need any advice or help with the language. When you arrive, I will be at the Villa to welcome you and I personally ensure that the Villa is prepared to our high standards.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

Casa Cal Domino is perfectly situated just 3.5km to the 28 blue-flagged beaches that make the Costa Brava such a popular holiday destination and also nestled in the foothills of the Gavarres natural park, a protected 38,000 Ha forest giving instant access for the hundreds of km of hiking and biking trails. We are just 90 km from Barcelona, accessible by high speed AVE in just 38 minutes. The nearest airport is in Girona, a charming medieval city about 40 minutes away.

The Villa is modern, airy and well designed to take advantage of the sun from first thing in the morning to early evening allowing the Villa to cool naturally before night time. The views over Calonge and the Mediterranean Sea are outstanding and the Villa's terraces have been designed to allow you to soak up the atmosphere with full sun, or shade as you wish. We have a 4x8 heated infinity pool and tropical hardwood pool deck leading to a wooden shingle covered pergola and sofa area, hammock and exterior heated hot tub.

The Villa has up to 100Mbps superfast WIFI broadband internet. We have a modern large flat screen LCD TV with gaming connections, HD DVD player and CD radio plus Bluetooth speakers on the kitchen terrace compatible with Spotify etc.

All the rooms have comfortable beds and appropriate duvets for the time of year and the Villa is fully double glazed, centrally heated with an additional log burner for the winter months. For the hikers and bikers, there is a separate secure roadside area for storage, cleaning and maintenance of bikes and golfing equipment etc and Jacuzzi and large Sauna.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

We are environmentally friendly ! We provide separate areas for recycling and the pool filtration system if fully powered by solar PV cells. The domestic hot water is provided by two large solar water heaters and automatically topped up by the electric grid should you need it ensuring that there is always hot water. The pool heating system uses a low energy consuming heat pump which maintains the pool temperature at a minimum of 26ºC from 01 April to 30 September. We can keep the pool heated until mid November at extra cost. Please ask us for a quote.

On arrival I will personally show you around the Villa explaining how everything works and take as much time as you require to be comfortable in your home away from home.

I am on call via mobile, WhatsApp and email during working hours should you need any advice regarding the Villa. I am also on call 24/7 for any emergencies that you may have either at the Villa or whilst away from Cal Domino.
