Nuestro hermoso conjunto de Creta Casa en el hermoso campo de Mavrikiano con vistas a las impresionantes vistas de la bahía de Mirabello sería una opción perfecta de vacaciones para nuestros huéspedes. Villa Bougainvillea se encuentra en su propio terreno privado y está equipada con todo lo necesario para que nuestros huéspedes feliz y ofrecerle unas vacaciones sin problemas. Desde Villa Bougainvillea es de 400 metros a pie de las tiendas locales, tabernas, playas de bandera azul y el mar en la aldea local de Elounda. Más allá de Elounda se encuentra el pueblo de pescadores virgen de Plaka, desde donde se puede tomar un viaje en barco a la isla de Spinalonga utiliza como una colonia de leprosos hasta 1957. También en su puerta es el animado puerto de Agios Nikolaos, que cuenta con dos excelentes restaurantes, tabernas, junto con sofisticadas tiendas y cafeterías junto al mar. Podemos organizar traslados en taxi de lujo desde y hacia el aeropuerto junto con el coche de alquiler flexibles a precios competitivos.

Such a relaxing delightful!

Our stay was phenomenal. The property is exactly as described. It was incredibly relaxing. We enjoyed all the comfortable seating, access to a pool at the end of a hot walk up the hill and it was easy access to town but far enough to feel like you’re still away. It was so relaxing that when we headed next to Santorini, we felt the jolt. We used the kitchen for two meals a day and it was well appointed for our needs. This is a wonderful place to stay with great communication with hosts! I’d move in if I could!

Lovely property, great destination

We really enjoyed staying here. The property was very well kept and clean and had everything we needed. The view over Elounda and the bay is stunning. The centre of the village is only a 15 minute walk away, if that. Really good communication from the host and she was kind enough to book airport taxis for us. Hope to visit again.

Beautiful and Peaceful

The villa is perfectly located just outside Elounda. It was quiet but walking distance to the town. There are three amazing restaurants about a five minute walk from the villa. The views are spectacular. I could have stayed another week. After 6 days in Elounda and this villa, I feel very calm and rested.

Beautiful villa, amazing view

Although the drive up to the top where the villa is located is a little daunting at first once you've done it a few times you get used to it. The villa is beautiful on the outside and once you open the shutters for the first time you are greated with stunning views of Elounda and the bay.We would love to come back again in the future.

Fabulous, everything we needed and more. Sharron could not have been more accommodating and the villa was lovely, clean and well equipped. The views were amazing, lots of choice for beaches, shopping and eating out and was easy to get about. Highly recommended.

Worth the climb

What an ideal place to relax and step of our busy lives. We loved the Villa and all the touches that made it feel luxurious and homely. What added to it was the excellent communication with Sharron who made our stay seamless. Quite an up hill walk from the centre but doable, even in the heat, and worth it with what must be one of the best views in Elounda! Would love to return

Perfect stay in Elounda!

A perfect villa, absolutely immaculate through out. It looks like new, and the pool was very clean. Loved the location, the views are simply fantastic, but that does mean a hill to walk up! The local tavernas and pub are great if you don’t want to walk into the village. Lots of taxis if you don’t fancy the walk back. We loved it, and would go again in a heartbeat.

Lovely Home from Home Villa

We had a lovely peaceful stay at Villa Bouganvillea situated in Mavrikiano which is very close to Elounda. The Villa is spotlessly clean and very comfortable and is equipped with everything you would need. Our biggest praise has to go to our host, Sharron who made the whole experience completely stress free and literally arranged everything we needed such as transfers, car hire and local recommendations etc… We couldn’t have expected any more from her and it was a real pleasure to meet up with Sharron’s mum at the Lena apartments at the end of our stay. We hope to definitely return one day and wouldn’t hesitate in staying at Sharron’s lovely villa again.

Excellent villa in wonderful location

Fantastic view of the bay of Elounda from a modern and clean villa with all you need, including sufficient poolside privacy. 10 minute walk down into the centre of Elounda, 2 minute walk to local taverna and restaurant with spectacular vista. Had no need to trouble the owners, but they maintained sufficient contact to ensure that we were OK. Crete is our favourite island. This is the best villa we have found. We have booked this villa for next year already....

Stunning view

The property is ideally located close to everything, but a short walk up the hill which allows the most stunning view across the bay. Two local restaurants/ bars Hope & Beeraki are perfect just a 5 min walk away. Many choices of restaurants around the bay and a lovely beach with beds and shade. The pool was ideal to chill by on hot days and the villa is very well equipped with everything we needed. Sharron was great responding to queries really quickly, and it’s obvious they really care for the property as they use it themselves and that really makes the difference with lovely personal touches in the decor.

Outstanding Stay

My husband and I wanted to show my best friend and her husband the beauty of Greece since they had never been. We were all amazed at how perfect the villa was-beautiful layout, amazing pool, and spectacular views from any point inside and outside the villa. Our 10-day stay couldn't have been more perfect. The convenient location enabled us to visit other towns and local attractions (I highly recommend the Cretan Olive Oil Farm) as well to enjoy quiet time at the villa. Sharron was wonderful and easy to reach. She called me personally to ensure we had all the check-in information, which impressed me greatly, and scheduled a meet-and-greet with Maria and Richard who maintain the villa. We felt so welcome. There is no hesitation on our part about returning to this jewel. Thank you Sharron, Maria, and Richard for making our trip perfect.

Beautiful oasis

This villa sits just outside of the resort town of Elounda, which offers all of the restaurants and beauty of the town, as well as its own charming neighborhood and restaurant. The villa itself is beautiful and well maintained. Don't miss the delightful walking street in Mavrikiano, as well as the Hope Restaurant. Others have commented on the steep hill. There is, however, a shortcut to town down some stairs in Mavrikiano. We stayed just after the tourist season, in early November, which meant that a number of restaurants and activities were closed for the season. The tradeoff is that we were able to experience more of the local flavor, without the chaos of the high crowds. We were still able to visit all of the sights that interested us, and enjoy the serenity of the area and of the island. We will definitely return.

Wonderful Stay!!!!

Villa Bougainvillea is just the perfect place for a relaxing holiday. It was absolutely spotless when we arrived and is equipped with everything you could possibly need for a self catering holiday and more. It is located in a very quiet and peaceful location with the views towards the sea and Elounda just breathtaking. A fantastic pool with sun beds and umberellas. Table and chairs for outside eating and a lounge seating area to relax with a drink and enjoy the view. It was so lovely to receive a telephone call from Sharron prior to our arrival which my husband and I thought was a very personal touch and was very much appreciated along with an email with recommendations for restaurants etc. Sharron very kindly booked the Ferryman restaurant in Elounda that we wanted to go to celebrate our wedding anniversary during our stay. Thank you so much we had a wonderful evening and were made to feel very special! I cannot recommend Villa Bougainvillea enough along with Sharron and Adrian as hosts.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Bouganvilliea! The property is spacious, beautifully maintained, and feels even better than the pictures. The private pool was the highlight of our trip — crystal clear, well-kept, and perfect for both relaxing afternoons and evening swims.The villa itself was spotless, tastefully decorated, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The outdoor area offered plenty of space for lounging, dining, and enjoying the sunshine in complete privacy. The views from the terrace looking over the sea are amazing. Location-wise, it was ideal (although up a steep hill which can be challenging!) — peaceful and quiet, yet close enough to local shops, restaurants, and attractions. The hosts were warm, attentive, and always available for any questions, which made our experience even smoother.We couldn’t have asked for a better getaway and would highly recommend Bouganvilliea to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday with the luxury of a private pool. We’re already looking forward to coming back!Bouganvilliea hints n tips- Several small supermarkets in town. Prices all much the same. Euro Mart will deliver if you spend 10. You select & pay for what you want at the store, they keep it until you are back at the villa then just WhatsApp them to get it delivered.- Nearby tavernas BeeRaki, The Hope, Despina & Palio Kantouni all pretty good - In town we liked Vritomartes, Olondi, Poulis, Rakomelo and Ergopasio restaurants.

Lovely villa and holiday destination

The property was spotless, beautifully furnished and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Eagle Car hire from the airport, arranged by Sharron, went smoothly, and the rep went out of his way to help us, escorting us right to the door of the villa. The views from the villa are truly spectacular in all weathers. We were very late in the season (end Oct) but there were still plenty of tavernas and restaurants open down in Elounda. A special mention goes to the Hope Taverna just down the road for its lovely views, warm welcome and good food. We had a great time exploring the local area on foot, driving through the mountain villages, and going further afield visiting Knossos and the archaelogical museum in Heraklion (wow! not to be missed), and the south coast of Crete. Sharron, the property owner, was available via email or phone to help us throughout and Kenny was also on hand locally should any practical problems occur (they didn't). All in all a really enjoyable holiday. Thank you Sharron.

Lovely Villa

The villa is well equipped, has superb views, a pleasant pool and 2 good sized bedrooms, both effectively with their own bathroom (one en-suite and one with use of the main bathroom). The garden includes a handy barbecue area with all the basics including a kettle type barbecue which worked really well. There are 2 balconies, both accessed from the bedrooms, 2 nice patio/ seating areas with tables and chairs. Location wise the villa is about a 10 minute pleasant but steep walk from Elounda. The approach by car is also very steep and narrow with the locals’ inventive parking making it a bit of a roller coaster ride! There is room to park two cars but manoeuvring is tricky and anything bigger than a Ford Focus or similar would be verging on impossible to turn around. Overall though the parking is better than most in Elounda. For those not in the know, it is a good location from which to explore North Eastern Crete. 2 ‘must dos’ are Spinalonga with the ferry just 10 minutes walk and the lovely hill village of Kritsa with nearby gorge walk, Roman site and lovely church. This is just 20 minutes drive. All in all a lovely villa and a great location for an October holiday.

Fantastic Villa With Great Views

The villa is beautifully perched up on a sizable hill overlooking the bay, islands, and sea off of the east coast of Crete. Its location is a true advantage. You can walk to Elounda in 10 minutes where you have lots of restaurants, shops, grocery stores, etc. We used our car only to travel outside of Elounda. Yet you are in a quiet area, with local flavor and residents, and spectacular views. Only the bathrooms do not have a view, and both bedrooms have balconies. Plus there is a roomy terrace with the pool, a dining table and lounge area. The villa itself is very well appointed and super clean. We loved the amenities and the ability to be outside so much with the pool. Communication with Sharron was top notch. She even arranged for a cab to take us to the Ferry Station in Heraklion, with an early pick up, and we could not have asked for better service. The individuals we met who care for the villa are British and very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed any conversation we had with them. There is a lovely taverna, The Hope, which is a couple minutes from the villa. We ate there twice and loved it. The couple running this small restaurant are delightful, the view from their terrace is great, and the food was excellent. We always focused on their specials. We also recommend taking a short drive to Plaka to see a sleepy old fishing village and taking the Boat to Spinalonga to see the old Venetian fort and learn of the days when it was a colony for lepers. For fine dinning meals we recommend Lotus Eaters in Elounda and Taverna Paliria in Plaka. Service in all of the restaurants is excellent. We enjoyed the food in all the places we visited. The Greeks know how to serve with joy.
