Our open beamed lodge-style house presents the perfect place for a large group or romantic getaway to unplug, relax, and play. Located only minutes away from the Olympic Adventure Trail and the Olympic Discovery Trail. Throughout the property are trails, a pond, a wood fire pit, a fire table and covered lounging area. Adjacent is DNR forest land that provides you with privacy and the feeling of your own personal woodsy experience.
More about the inside space: This home boasts an open floor plan comfortably holding 8 guests and fun for the whole family! The upstairs has 1 bedroom, 1 bath and a reading nook with bean bag for reading or playing games. Downstairs has 2 bedrooms, one bath, living room w/ TV , wood stove, fully stocked kitchen, and dining table. We provide all basic necessities to make you feel at home including but not limited to; linens, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, oil for cooking, salt & pepper, tea, coffee, creamer.
More about the outside space: This home has a large indoor shop accessible by guests featuring a pickle ball court, ping pong, pop a shot basketball and other activities for the family. Lets not forget to mention there is a covered patio with seating and BBQ and a private pond, trails throughout the property and a fire pit for your enjoyment! This home has it all!
More about the location: This home is located a few miles past Port Angeles before Joyce, WA. It is a prime location for day trips to infamous lake Crescent, ODT, Coast and more!
Port Angeles offers a wealth of activities for outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers. Whether you enjoy hiking, biking, or simply exploring the pristine surroundings, there is something for everyone.
The entire home, shop and property are for guest use. The garage and woodshed are off limits to guests.
Quiet road with distance between neighbors.
Parking is up the driveway at the front of the home and shop.
*There will be a Security deposit for $500 held against your card 48 hours before arrival. If no damage is reported by staff, this will be released 24 hours after checkout*
Please note: All cancellations are subject to a non-refundable payment processing fee. VRBO bookings: 5% fee (listed as “administrative fee”), Direct bookings (website): 4% fee. This fee covers third-party processing costs and is not retained by us. Thank you for understanding!
-Maximum number of guests not to exceed 10.
-No pets without prior written approval and payment of pet fee.
-Only use fireplace, fire pit if you have adequate experience and know how to operate safely. Use of the fireplace, fire pit, is at your own risk and with the understanding that you are responsible for any damage caused by your use of the same. Please do not introduce unapproved items in the woodstove – just firewood, kindling, matches, fire starters, Duraflame Logs, and this goes for the fire pit as well.
-Local fire-ban ordinances must be observed with regards to the outside fire pit. Care must be taken to keep fires under control and to a reasonable size.
-Be a good neighbor. No trespassing onto neighboring properties.
-This house uses a septic system; ONLY toilet paper can be flushed.
-Because we keep our home sparkly clean for you, we kindly ask that you lend a helping hand. Clean any dishes used, put dirty laundry in hamper, you know the basic stuff... It helps keep the cleaning costs down for you and future guests.
-We're keeping the floors clean for our guests, please no shoes in house.
-Accidents happen, when they do please notify us as soon as possible. This is the best way to ensure the return of your security deposit.
-No illegal drugs allowed.
-Please be respectful of our neighbors. You'd be surprised how sound travels through the neighborhood, please keep noise to a minimum between the hours of 10:00pm and 8:00am.
-Please help mother earth. Turn lights and accessories off; heat at 65 degrees when not in use.
-No smoking of anything allowed indoors, smoke it outside please.
-We are honored you decided to choose Olympic Forest Retreat, however if your goal is to throw a party this is not the destination for you. Any such behavior will result in immediate removal from the property.
-Want to stay an extra hour or so? Should be fine but requires approval, let us know in advance.
-Please stay out of the attic, crawlspace, and storage areas. These areas are dangerous and not designed for guests.
-PARKING – Parking is limited to 4 vehicle(s). Vehicles are to be parked on the driveway only. Any illegally parked cars in the community are subject to towing; applicable fines/towing fees are the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner.
-Housekeeping: There is no daily housekeeping service. While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. We do not permit towels or linens to be removed from the cabin.
-Storm: No refunds will be given in the event that a storm or severe weather conditions limits your accessibility to 4 Seasons River Retreat or causes a power outage. We recommend all-wheel drive/four-wheel drive and/or chains during snowstorms. We do not refund due to road conditions; however, we will assess this case by case and are willing to compensate accordingly to make it fair for both parties.
- Pond: The pond is not cleared to be swam in. Please only for looking purposes and keep a strong watch on children and pets do not let them in the water.
- Check-out: Guests will be charged an extra $25 for late check out; check out time is 11:00am unless otherwise talked about with the host. The charge is $25 per 30 minute increment. Thank you for being respectful of the hosts and cleaners time.
--Housekeeping: There is no daily housekeeping service. While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. We do not permit towels or linens to be removed from the home.
-We do not permit supplies, furniture, decorative items, appliances, and other furnishings to be removed from the home. Please leave the home as you found it.
-Please do not play with or tamper with the decorations on walls or shelfs. These are for guests to enjoy, not for play.
-Violations of these rules can result in additional fees or immediate cancelation of your reservation and removal from the property without refund.
Guest(s) shall fully hold harmless Wanderers Choice LLC and its associates from any and all claims, lawsuits, causes of action, liability, loss, damage and/or injury, of any kind whatsoever including without limitation all claims for monetary loss, property damage, equitable relief personal injury and/or wrongful death.
