Step into history! This historic home with updated modern convenience for your comfort, We have worked on this home for 2 years to save it. We total rehabbed this gem. On Merchant street-in the oldest town west of the Mississippi River.
Lewis and Clark stayed at this property.

If you're looking for a charming home with a touch of history, this is the perfect place to stay. The location couldn't have been better—it's within walking distance of just about everything in town. We enjoyed a delicious meal at Audubon, just down the street, and later walked across the street to catch a concert at The Orris. The house was comfortable, full of character, and made it easy to explore the area on foot. Jayne was a wonderful host, providing excellent communication and making check-in simple and seamless. We would definitely stay here again!

We really enjoyed our 3 night stay at the Rivertown Retreat. Very clean and cozy with everything we needed. Great location close to lots of restaurants, easy walking. Our host, Jayne, made check in/out very easy. Great place for a couple looking to enjoy the Ste. Genevieve area.

This was a great little spot to stay!!! It has a lot of old world charm that is quite lovely. It is also in a great spot as you can walk to so many shops and restaurants from here. The owner was very responsive to all of my questions. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it.

Perfect weekend getaway! I love staying in older homes and this one did not disappoint. Communication from the host was excellent. The location could not be more perfect for shopping, restaurants, and museums. We parked our car on Friday and didn't use it again until we left on Sunday. The home had everything we needed and was really comfortable. Highly recommend.

Everything was perfect!!! The things that need to be updated are updated, and the things that don't, aren't! It was a lovely, historic place to stay. In our opinion, way better than a hotel. It was a chilly weekend and we were perfectly warm, check in was easy, and check out was even easier. Great location to everything in town. We have recommended this place to all our family and will stay again.
