Orchid Suite on Center St - 1/2 block from Duval Sleeps 4

The Orchid Suite is a bi-level suite decorated in a rich contemporary Danish style. The bedroom is located upstairs with a bookcase divider separating two different sleeping areas, each with a queen bed. The upstairs bathroom features a tiled shower with a glass door, hairdryer, and all necessary linens. Large beach towels are also provided.

Downstairs is a living room providing a queen sleeper sofa and love seat. With A/C, ceiling fans, a TV, DVD player, stereo with CD player, and free wi-fi you can keep cool and connected to the outside world. There is a lovely dining room with plenty of seating, a tiled breakfast bar, and stools. We have recently added a new half bath.

All the amenities of a luxury property are included: a fully equipped gourmet kitchen, dishwasher, refrigerator with ice-maker, microwave, drip coffee maker, blender, and everything needed to cook, prepare, and serve a gourmet meal or just heat up leftovers from the incredible restaurants located in the surrounding area. There are two gas BBQ grills, coin-operated washer/dryers, and on-street parking.

Orchid Suite is a half-block from the famous Duval Street, just a short walk to the infamous night life. Several blocks away is the sunny South Beach with ocean swimming and a restaurant. If you prefer a pool, just a short bike ride away is Dante’s Pool Bar, located in the Historic Seaport at Conch Harbor, and open to the public (children and pets welcome) with a full bar and grill.

Orchid Suite is bi-level, with the bedroom upstairs. It may not be suitable for persons unable to climb stairs well.

Parking in Key West is very limited. This property has no assigned parking and is street parking only. You are responsible for finding parking for your vehicle. The individual making the reservation must be 25 years or older with proper identification and be an occupant of the property. The maximum number of people allowed in this property is 6. If there are more than 6 people are in your party upon arrival, your party will be asked to leave without compensation. Violation of ANY house rules will result in your party being asked to leave without compensation.

Well appointed & clean. Upstairs beds comfy. Bathrooms modern & clean. Great location, but parking is difficult. MANY minor repairs needed (e.g., pocket bathroom door sticks closed, trapping inside, blinds need replacement-won't close letting streetlight glare in BR, downstairs hide-a-bed broken & useless, bar in kitchen unstable, etc...) All things a handyman could fix in a day, but not being done. We would stay again, but only if Mgmt company guaranteed these fixes 1st.

Convenient Location

Everything we needed was within walking distance. Area could be more pet-friendly though as finding a place for our small dog to answer natures call was a challenge.

Great location, great property

We’ve stayed in other townhomes at OTV before, first time in Orchid suite. Nice unit overall. Had one issue with the a/c that was remedied promptly. For the location and space, this complex is hard to beat.

Orchid suites

The location is terrific. One block from Duval. The courtyard and pool area is gorgeous and maintained every morning by on site managers. The kitchen is well stocked, outside grill available. Many great restaurants and bars within a couple of blocks. Especially recommend Martin’s. Great martini bar. On the corner is “Better than Sex” dessert bar. Only open from 7-11 pm but an absolute must! The only reason I give 4 rather than 5 stars is there is no parking provided and master BR is on second floor. (for full disclosure,we WERE aware of these before we booked. Highly recommended.

Relaxing Key West

This property is so close to everything including a bike rental and a fabulous cuban coffee shop. We enjoyed the pool for morning aerobics. It was in the shade and very peaceful. The property managers are super nice and helpful people who care about the property

Some good, a few issues

First the good, location was awesome, short walk to Duvall St., Grounds were beautiful and quiet, very nice courtyard and pool area. I will preface the not so good with when we called the management company, their response was quick. That being said, there were sugar ants in a couple of outlets, quick response by management on this, also, upstairs bathroom lights quit working, same day response and repair by management. Window blinds need replacing, but the main issue was the air conditioning. The house is equipped two mini-split A/C units, one upstairs and one downstairs. A/C is required to stay at 73 degrees to prevent over working, and with Key West temps in May, makes for very warm bathroom conditions, in my opinion, a better A/C system may be needed.

Relax

Had a really nice time staying at the Orchid Suite. The property was extremely clean and had plenty of room for four of us. The courtyard was very well-maintained and the pool was very nice. Property was located nicely as far as walking goes. One of us had bursitis so we did Uber a bit more than we would normally. There is a CVS right across the street, which was extremely convenient and a nice little Cuban restaurant on the corner, which was great for breakfast Or lunch. Loved the space of orchid suite, and we would stay again!!!

Guys getaway

The place was a perfect hideaway right off of Duval. It suited about needs perfectly for a quiet place to rest and rejuvenate in between daily excursions. We are all in our mid to late 40’s so it was a perfect spot to escape some of the craziness when needed.

Fabulous location

The house was perfect and clean. Location was the ultimate, right off Duval. Previous said it was noisy. We completely disagree. I thought it was quiet considering location. I misread the description and thought it was a pool for two houses. It is actually a small duplex - other tenants were great, friendly and helpful. Would certainly stay there again.

Perfect old town Key West rental

My wife and I stayed at this property for a week. The location was ideal, just enough off the main path, but still close to everything we wanted. The property managers were very kind and did a great job taking care of the place. Our unit had everything we needed and the courtyard behind the building was just beautiful. The online pictures really don’t do it justice. We had no complaints about our stay, and will definitely look at staying there again in the future! I would recommend this property to anyone searching in this area.

Girls weekend away/21st birthday

The property and location could not have been better! Parking was the only challenge-we had to park a block away. But since we walked the old town, the car didnt move until we left. One small note-we did have to wash any glasses or utensils before using. Maybe the dishwasher wasnt started before the last visitor.

A great location!

Located a half-block away from Duval Street, we were right in the middle of all the action. Property owner himself came in and replaced Dishwasher next day when it leaked and almost flooded kitchen. Staff was very kind, property was clean, shower was AMAZING, and we all had a great time. Highly recommend!

Great little spot - need to know items below

All good. Very close to everything Enjoyed our time there. CVS has some food and drinks close by. Very convenient. Duffy’s pub is good and close for a quick bite when you get in. There should be no reason to check in. Wasted stop on way to the unit. Nothing of value in the check in process for tenant. All keys are codes and could be sent easily via email. A few notes: This unit is right on the gate to the property and you will hear everyone coming and going. First floor bathroom door could trap you in the bathroom if you close it completely. Be careful it sticks. Also many nosey people walk past your windows close your shades for privacy. No way to secure valuable in the unit safe in closet non operational. Plan accordingly.
