Lovely apartment

This was a lovely little apartment with stunning views, well maintained and very clean. My parents had a great stay in Chatel.

Great apartment

Had a fantastic holiday in this apartment. It was clean, modern, warm and everything worked. Wifi was great - worked in all rooms and never 'dropped out' - a bonus as in my experience wifi in Chatel is not always reliable. Having been to Chatel many times we knew the location of the apartment and so were prepared for the walk back in the evening - its about 25 mins. The bus stops outside and runs regularly so no need to walk during the day. We also discovered this time that there is an evening service which runs back up to Petit Chatel until 11.30 on Wednesday and Friday which was useful. The apartment is great, 2 bedrooms and a living area which has plenty of space for 4 to relax in. The kitchen area is fully equipped - plenty of glasses, crockery and cutlery The balcony gives a fantastic view of the whole town and valley - we sat outside with blankets and hot chocolate on a couple of evenings. We were lucky this year as they have had great snow in Chatel (unlike the previous 2 yeas) - we did see people skiing back to the road outside the apartment but didn't manage to work out the route ourselves. Chatel is a beautiful village and I would highly recommend this apartment.

Thank you for your review Walter. Unfortunately the bus that stops outside our apartment only runs in the Ski or Summer seasons, so a car is needed to get around off season. I hope you still had a good holiday. Chris

Séjour à Chatel

L’appartement était bien placé, propre, bien équipé mais d’accès difficile avec deux étages à monter ou à descendre , ce qui n’était pas précisé dans l’annonce. Les renseignements concernant le fonctionnement des appareils ménagers n’étaient pas toujours très compréhensibles car traduit de l’anglais. A signaler au propriétaire ou au gérant : nous avons oublié de vider le réfrigérateur.

Appartement propre fonctionnel et très bien situé mais litige sur le depart

La gestion du départ a été décevante. Sans procédure contradictoire ni photos nous avons été prélevés du coût du ménage a posteriori alors que nous avions fait tout ce qui nous a été reproché. Prenez des photos de l'état dans lequel vous laissé l'appartement si vous faites vous même le menage

Merci pour votre avis sur notre appartement, je suis ravi que vous ayez passé de bonnes vacances. Je suis vraiment désolé que vous n'ayez pas été satisfait des frais de nettoyage que nous avons dû payer lorsque vous avez quitté notre appartement. Nous avons fait appel à une société de gestion immobilière à Chatel pendant plusieurs années pour l'inspection et le nettoyage le jour du changement, et n'avons aucune raison de ne pas faire confiance à leur jugement. Ils ont de nombreuses propriétés dans la région dont ils s'occupent et nous ont été fortement recommandés. Ils n'ont trouvé qu'une seule fois auparavant que le nettoyage n'était pas à la hauteur d'une norme acceptable. Dans nos instructions préalables à l'arrivée, nous indiquons qu'au départ - "Si vous ne nettoyez pas à fond, des frais seront prélevés sur votre dépôt de garantie". Je leur ai transmis votre recommandation de prendre des photos si ce problème se reproduisait. Cordialement Chris

kleine woning met alles er op en aan

kleine woning maar goed te doen met 5 personen. Mooi uitzicht en dichtbij de bus. Jammer dat er geen bakker in de buurt is. Skigebied is ontzettend mooi met mooi weer. Als het kouder is, veel wind en sneeuw geeft het een ander beeld, omdat er ook geen enkele stoeltjeslift voorzien is van kap

Great apartment with all necessary facilities and the ski bus stop just opposite the street.

Easy booking, and responsive and kind owners. Apartment was very clean and is located in a nice part of Chatel and has all facilities you need.

Très bon séjour au coeur du petit châtel. La vue du balcon et magnifique. Le lieu est très calme et les propriétaires toujours disponible pour répondre à nos demandes. Nous recomandons sans problème.

+ Tolle Aussicht. + Praktische Lage Nähe Busstation. + Genügend Stauraum trotz enger Platzverhältnisse. + Sehr sauber. + Zweckmässige Küchenausstattung. + Hilfsbereiter Vermieter, antwortet rasch auf Emails und kümmert sich um Probleme. - Ziemlich klein. - Sehr unbequeme Klappstühle. (Stapelstühle wären viel bequemer und bräuchten nicht mehr Platz) - Wackliger klapptisch. - Weder Raclette-Ofen noch Fondue-Caquelon.

Appartement très agréable!

Nous avons apprécié notre séjour dans cet appartement bien décoré et très fonctionnel. Seul petit bémol: les principales chaînes tv françaises ne sont pas accessibles.

Je suis désolé que vous n'ayez pas pu regarder certaines des chaînes de télévision françaises et espère que cela pose trop de problème. La télévision peut capter certaines chaînes de télévision françaises. Je vais me renseigner sur un décodeur français pour recevoir toutes les chaînes, bien qu'un autre boîtier et une télécommande ne puissent que dérouter nos invités. Jan & Chris

magnifique séjour

Le chalet est très agréable, meublé avec bon goût et très fonctionnel. Malgré sa superficie relativement modeste, nous ne nous y sommes pas sentis a l’étroit alors que nous étions 2 adultes, un bébé et 3 enfants . La vue depuis le balcon est magnifique

Perfect location.

The apartment had everything we needed. The view from the balcony was amazing. Did some lovely walks especially to the green lake. We enjoyed visiting the goat village at Les Linderets. A must for anyone with children. We never felt the need to eat out anywhere. Self catered & just sat on the balcony each evening with a glass of wine watching the sun go down. WONDERFUL!!!!

A very comfortable apartment containing all we needed for a relaxing holiday.

Terrific views and a nice quiet environment for a relaxing holiday. The Wi-Fi and satellite tv were great for keeping in touch back home and for those of us who struggle to comprehend much of the French language, the English tv probs we're a nice way to wind down in an evening. Another super holiday in Chatel !

Fantastic holiday. great apartment.

Apartment was warm and comfortable, had everything we needed and in an excellent location, which was easy to find. Perfect to have the bus stop just outside. Fantastic views from the balcony. Information from the owners was spot on. Far enough outside of town centre for peace and quite, yet within easy reach of all amenities. Thank you

Mooi appartement in Chatel

Appartement is ruim genoeg voor 4 personen, is netjes ingericht en de skibus stopt voor de deur. Appartement is van alle gemakken voorzien, complete keuken met oven en volledig ingericht. De zon schijnt in de middag lekker op het balkon.

Superbes vacances en famille

Appartement conforme à la description (situation, équipement, propreté), offrant une superbe vue sur la vallée d'Abondance. L'avantage du logement est sa taille (43m²) un vrai plus pour une famille avec deux enfants comme nous, permettant d'avoir deux chambres séparées. La propriété est calme et reposante. Le chalet est très bien situé, avec un arrêt de bus se trouvant devant, idéal pour aller dans le centre de Chatel, ou se rendre aux remontées de ski sans prendre sa voiture. Le télésiège de Barbossine, ainsi que des loueurs de matériels se trouvent à 500m.

Heerlijke bedden en fijn appartement

Het appartement ligt boven in Chatel. Je kunt met de skibus naar de piste, maar ook goed met de auto. Het uitzicht is prachtig en je hebt (eind februari) zon op het terras van 11.00 uur tot 16.30 uur. De bedden zijn heel erg lekker! Er is verder een zeer comfortabele bank en 2 luie stoelen. Wij hebben zelf de tafel uitgeklapt laten staan, wat ook prima paste! Het is een heerlijk appartement voor 4 a 5 personen. Koffie zetten, kan met gewone koffie in een piston apparaat, waterkoker, magnetron en de oven (zelf afbakbroodjes meenemen, dan hoef je niet de berg af om naar de bakker te gaan). Mooi compleet appartement. Een aanrader.

Great location , well equipped and maintained

Great little apartment, very comfortable for the 4 of us. Very clean and well maintained. Very well equipped and comfortable. Great location with the ski bus on the doorstep . Lots of storage. Lovely balcony to watch the sun set over the mountains. We would definitely stay here again.

First class. 5 Star.

I have just re booked this Chalet for the fourth time. The location really appeals to me especially the view from the balcony, it is second to none, Chatél is is really picturesque location that is hidden away from the masses. The chalet is more than adequate for my family needs and is very well equipped, everything you need in a chalet is present and more including a dryer for our boots in the Den. The Chalet has always been immaculate on every visit and two toilets are a bonus. The owner is passionate about the Chalet and I have noticed improvements every year that we have been including this year free WiFi. Chris is very accommodating in requests for information and provides a comprehensive guide to the facilities in the Chalet and locally. You will not be disappointed if you book this chalet be it in the winter for skiing or summer for hill walking/cycling etc.
