You will find this rural mountain location very private and enchanting - yet only a few miles from restaurants, stores, and attractions.

It is situated in approximately a 2-acre clearing near the back of almost 10 wooded acres. The road is not visible from the chalet, which is actually 1/10th of a mile from the road.

Enjoy this private getaway with a modern kitchen, featuring a full range of appliances; including a microwave, toaster oven, Kuerig coffee maker, and fridge/freezer.

The custom, outdoor hot tub features inground entry, and offers relaxing water year round.

Explore our woods, walk the trails down by the creek, and enjoy the wildlife.

Unwind on the lounge, utilize the grill, and treat yourself & your spouse to a dinner in front of an open fireplace.

We have stayed here several times and this beautiful chalet never disappoints. The mountain view is beautiful. The trails and babbling brook are peaceful and serene - and easy to get to with the golf cart. The hot tub and patio were fun - we had a fire each night. The house was cozy and clean. We can’t wait to go back!

The house and property were immaculate. There were neighbors across the way and up the hill behind the house that were closer than we expected but it was still secluded enough that we weren't bothered by anyone and still felt like we were by ourselves. The only negative was the shower is a one person shower but the jacuzzi was perfect, and I would recommend a newer mattress for the bed but outside of that this was the best place we've ever stayed! The golf cart was a blast to ride around in and the swing and fire by the creek was absolutely breathtaking. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful place to stay for our 20th wedding anniversary. You can feel the stress of life melt away when you stay here. We will definitely be back!!

This was our 2nd stay here at Private Hills Chalet. We wish we could stay forever. Even though we had a minor Internet issue, Bev and Terry did everything they could to ensure our Internet was repaired and fully functional immediately. The weather was nearly perfect for our stay. The Chalet is flawless as usual. And the hosts are by far the best on VRBO. You can't go wrong with this rental. We stayed monday-friday. Best option is to stay more than 2 or 3 days. It's worth every penny.

We have traveled to the Poconos, Tennessee, Costa Rica, Italy, Puerto Rica, Bahamas, Cayman Islands, Florida, and other places internationally in search of and staying at nice couple's getaways that offer outdoor privacy with room to roam. We often wished there would be a place like this closer to home. The Private Hills Chalet is just that!

We purchased this property because of its private setting, view, creek, woods, and cozy A-frame cabin.
The close proximity to hiking, bird-watching, and bike trails makes this a good option for nature lovers who want to immerse themselves in God's creation.
Within 20 - 30 minutes, guests can be at large markets like the Green Dragon on Fridays or upscale restaurants in the Reading area. Drive 20-40 minutes and you will be able enjoy all that Lancaster has to offer. Shady Maple Smorgasbord and the Sight and Sound Theater are some of the many attractions!

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

We like properties with an outdoor hot tub that offers a view (away from the building) and is not visible from the road. We also wanted an outdoor fireplace to allow the guests to cook food over an open wood fire (a hot dog stick and mountain pie iron are provided) and snuggle in front of the fireplace on the double lounger after de-stressing in the hot tub.
We also have trails through our woods and a 'spot' down by the creek for you to enjoy nature in privacy.
