Chalet 'Chante-Clarine'' is a modern luxury self-catering chalet, in a stunning year round setting. Located near La Barboleuse, just outside the resort of Villars, the chalet is actually only 200m from the nearest piste that runs down directly to the cable car station at La Barboleuse village. There are snow canons everywhere to ensure good snow covering. Ideal for winter and summer holiday rental, with marvellous skiing and walking. Linen and towels are included and the chalet is professionally cleaned before and end of each stay.

Lovely chalet in a very beautiful, quiet area. It is evident that it is the owner’s much cherished family holiday home, as it very comfortable and well-equipped, particularly the kitchen. The owner, James, was very responsive and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Relaxing stay in a fabulous chalet

We had the best 7 day stay in this chalet! We all wanted to stay longer but sadly had our flights were booked. The chalet is in a very peaceful location with spectacular views. It is equipped with everything needed for a relaxing stay. There was a heatwave whilst we stayed and the Lac Leman area was very hot, but the chalet area was much cooler and the bedrooms on the lower floor were a perfect temperature. James was a pleasure to deal with and very prompt with his responses. Would definitely like to stay again!

Spectacular Location

Beautiful chalet

As soon as everyone walked in to the chalet, we all felt immediately at home. You can tell it is used by the owners as it is very homely and brilliantly equipped. It was an ideal place for a three generational ski trip. Lots of room, stunning views. Easy access to slopes and a short drive to shops/telecabine. Owners were very helpful and responsive. Highly recommend.

Family Winter stay 2020

Beautiful chalet, stunning views. Great space for our troupe of 7. Chalet equipped with everything you could possibly want. 5 minutes drive to the gondola at Gryon and 5 minutes to Villars restaurants. Plenty of snow on the mountain. All in all a great stay.

Family walking trip in the Alps

We had a fantastic stay in Chalet Chante-Clarine! It was perfect for us and our grown up children. At one point there was 7 of us and the house still felt spacious and comfortable. Highly equiped kitchen, good TV, nice lawn, wonderful terrace, quiet comfortable bedrooms. The view was simply stunning, and the location quiet and peaceful, whilst still being within handy distance of the amenities of Barboleuse, with its great transport and fabulous patisserie. The surrounding area has breath taking scenery, beautiful lakes to swim in, and I cannot recommend the house or the area highly enough.

Wonderful Location snd Chalet for a skiing holiday

We stayed in this beautiful chalet for the very end of February beginning of March this year. There were seven of us from two families. When we walked through the door we all gasped at the fantastic view and the delight continued as we explored the Chalet. The owners have created a holiday home which caters for everything. The chalet is extremely well appointed with all the comforts you could need. It was so lovely we only ate out on the one occasion! We had everything we needed right there! The skiing was superb, with the most enormous amount of snow. You could walk to the piste and ski back to a point about a 100m from the chalet. Would throughly recommend both the chalet and the resort. We too hope to go back next year. With many thanks to the owners for all the care and attention they have lavished on their gorgeous property, which has enabled the rest of us to have fantastic holidays!

A beautiful chalet with breathtaking views

This chalet is very luxurious has been finished to the highest standards and as it is only recently built it is impeccable inside. We stayed for a week at the beginning of February and skied every day. There were 10 of us and it was perfectly comfortable for that number of people. Two people shared the pull out sofa beds on the Mezzanine level, which was surprisingly private. The chalet has everything you could require, including all equipment to fully self Cater and many extra luxuries such as a TV, DVD player, automatic blinds and under floor heating. The living area and rooms downstairs have breathtaking views over the mountains and there is a lovely wood fire to cosy up to. We were able to ski in and out of the chalet when there was plenty of snow and as the snow reduced slightly at the end of the week, it was only a short walk with our skis to the main piste. I am a beginner and the area was excellent for this, with a good variety of beginner slopes and two separate schools from which to take lessons. It is worth having a car as without skis it is a bit of a walk down to the shops, although there are snow shoes which would be lots of fun for a walk down the slopes to get the bread. When there is lots of snow it is worth having car chains if your car isnt 4 wheel drive as the road up to the chalet crosses the piste a number of times. Overall we had a fantastic holiday which though very active, was also incredibly relaxing.

Wat een fantastisch huis. Elke slaapkamerheeft een eigen badkamer wat nergens stond. Een grote pluspunt. Een bakker en supermarktje was dichtbij. Ca. 4 minuten met de auto. Vele wandelmogelijkheden in de buurt. Contact met de eigenaar was zeer goed. Ook waren we een bril vergeten die hij voor ons opstuurde. Echt een aanrader wat ons positief heeft verrast.

Die Lage und Aussicht vom Sitzplatz und Balkon des Chalets ist grandios. Wir haben die Abende und den klaren Sternenhimmel genossen. Das Chalet ist sehr geräumig und mit den grossen Fenstern sehr hell. Der Kontakt mit Neil und Christoph vor Ort war prima. Wir hatten tolle Ferien!

Perfect peaceful mountain retreat

Everything about this chalet is pure perfection and I can highly recommend a stay here. We travelled as 3 families, of 8 in total, and had no issues at all with lack of space. In addition, all the amenities that you could wish for are included, so there is no need to worry about lack of utensils for your cooking. The views from the chalet are fantastically unobstructed, the only noise, interrupting the peace, is from the cow bells and still just a 20 minute walk from the local shops and restaurants. In our opinion, faultless.

Fantastic stay

Swiss Dream

Definitely have fond memories of the Swiss Alps. It's a stunning new and modern chalet. Everything works really well and it's well thought out. The view is beathtaking and Christophe (local manager) is really helpful. It really is a dream chalet and location. Very peaceful and warming for the soul. The snow did arrive after we arrived which was wonderful. Superb bakery in La Barboleuse. Owner excellent to deal with.

Beautiful Chalet And Breathtaking Surroundings

We stayed at Chalet Chante Clarine for a summer break and simply could not recommend it more highly. We were were struck not only by the staggering beauty of the surroundings, but also by the supremely impressive quality of the chalet itself, with the highest level of detail having clearly been employed when designing and furnishing the accommodation. The quantity of bedrooms and - particularly - bathrooms, ensures that multiple families are able to stay without the slightest inconvenience, while the kitchen is so well-appointed it would really be a challenge to find oneself wanting for any appliance. Within easy reach there are excellent facilities, with ski lifts and railways providing access to all kinds of walks and outdoor activities, which make for very fun and activity-filled days, tired and happy children and tremendously satisfied adults. All in all, a wonderful stay.

Stunning chalet, stunning location

After a very busy time we wanted a holiday where we could relax and unwind and in Chalet Chante Clarinnes we found the perfect place. We arrived late and woke to a fresh fall of several inches of snow which was 'the icing on the cake'. The views from the chalet were wide ranging and beautiful, looking over the valley to the mountains beyond. The chalet itself was a home from home, very comfortably and thoughtfully kitted out with underfloor heating which kept us toasty throughout our stay. We walked from the chalet into the mountains, stopping for lunch at some of the lovely restaurants along the way and relaxed in the evening with a good meal and bottle of wine. A very positive experience all round. Just what we needed!
