Chalet with sweeping mountain views near Blowing Rock and Boone

Whether you're staying in to enjoy the beautiful mountain views, or venturing out to explore Blowing Rock or Boone, Mountain View Chalet is the perfect getaway to appreciate all that the NC mountains have to offer.

Located in a beautiful private community, this three story home offers sweeping mountain views right off the Blue Ridge Parkway.

From the main entrance, you'll arrive to the spacious second story deck which includes a hot tub, gas fire pit, gas grill, outdoor dining table for up to 6, and plenty of seating to take in the views.

The main living space includes an open floor plan living room and kitchen with a gas fire place and vaulted ceilings. Just past the kitchen is a half bath with a washer and dryer. The first bedroom is conveniently located on the main floor and includes a king bed and double vanity master bathroom.

The second and third bedrooms are located upstairs. Both rooms include a king bed and a shared full bath.

Downstairs from the main living area you'll find the fourth bedroom with two twin beds. This room has an attached bath with a standing shower. The downstairs living area includes a pool table, board games, large TV and gas fireplace. From here you have access to the lower level deck with additional outdoor seating.

We are located 10-15 minutes from both downtown Blowing Rock and Boone. 8 minutes to Tweetsie Railroad. Approximately 15 minutes from Appalachian Ski Mtn and 35 minutes to Sugar Mountain. 13 minutes from ASU. Nearby greenway with access to stocked trout stream.

With our location conveniently off the Blue Ridge Parkway, you'll find plenty to do nearby, including hiking trails, lakes, waterfalls, canoeing, and kayaking.

Gorgeous mountain views

We could have sat rocking on the porch forever. The weather was perfect as we watched the sunset, with a mother deer and fawn in the grass below. The hot tub, fire pit, grill, and table also made it nice to be outside. Inside was plenty of space for our family with a large kitchen and two family rooms. There were many sweet touches, such as a 4th of July themed basket and cozy pillows and blankets. The owners were very responsive and great hosts. We would love to stay again, although in winter you’d need a 4WD due to steep driveway.

Beautiful cabin with amazing views

The cabin was beautiful, clean, and had an absolutely stunning view. Tucker and Ginny were fantastic hosts and communication was clear and timely throughout our stay. We had a wonderful experience and would definitely stay again!

Comfortable retreat with great views

Enjoyed a fun family weekend getaway. Property was comfortable for our 8 person party, and host was great! The area had an unexpected snowstorm (received 4-6 inches) the day before our departure. Fortunately, the host had a snowplow company come in to plow the steep driveway. Without the plowing, we may not have been able to make it out, as we did not have 4WD. Really appreciate the open communication and prompt responses from host. Proximity to both Boone and Blowing Rock was ideal. Highly recommend.

Review for Chalet with Sweeping Mountain Views near Blowing Rock and Boone

We recently stayed at this beautiful chalet for a girls' retreat for my wife and her two friends, and it was an absolutely amazing experience! The host was incredibly accommodating, even knowing there was a lot of snow in the forecast. They were very understanding about our check-in process and told us to take our time, which we truly appreciated.They received at least 5 inches of snow during their stay, which only enhanced the cozy and magical atmosphere. Between the fireplace, hot tub, and breathtaking views, this was one of the most relaxing places they could have chosen. My wife and her friends said if they could give it more than 5/5, they absolutely would.Highly recommend this spot for a peaceful and rejuvenating getaway!

Fantastic property!

This house is gorgeous, the view of the mountains is all it is described to be. Very easy drive into Boone and Blowing Rock, but still felt private. I enjoyed several peaceful sunrises and sunsets on the porch. We’d absolutely stay here again!

Perfect Adult Location

I’m thankful it was decided to just be an adult family retreat. Very relaxing. This location would not keep children entertained. Must drive to all activities.

The location was prefect. Secluded but not too far away from major stores and ski resort.

The views were breathtaking. The hot tub felt amazing on those cold nights. The upstairs tub drains very slowly, but that is really the only minor issue we had.

Great Graduation Family Gathering

We gathered members from both sides of our family for our daughter’s graduation from App State. The 4 bedrooms and 3.5 baths gave us plenty of privacy. The large porches were spectacular (a little too cold when we were there to fully enjoy them). I loved how they did the game room. The kitchen was well stocked. The location is really close to both Blowing Rock and Boone.

Great Stay

We came for my parents’ anniversary and it was wonderful. Great view and location cannot be beat! Easy check in and check out. Enjoyed getting to places quickly and wish we had more time. The area has so much to offer. Great place for all ages.

Girls Trip

We had a group of girls for a bachelorette party and we loved the property! It was nestled in a quiet and beautiful spot. The only thing I would say is that the "pull out" couches are two small black futon couches that collapse down. Not comfortable at all. But other than that, it was great. The management was very responsive.

Family Reunion

Lovely home, beautiful view. For flat land Floridians, drive to property definitely a ride. Loved seeing deer family in front of home several mornings & evenings. Only downside was limited parking but nothing to do about that. Kids loved the game room. Would definitely book again.

My stay!

The only issue I had was the cleanliness. Grill hadn’t been cleaned in months caught on fire. The dryer filter hadn’t been touched since I don’t know when. Cabinets and futon were full of crumbs. The futons were not even sleep able they should not be advertised as beds. Besides those issues the cabin was lovely. Location and view was amazing just need to keep up with cleaning. Especially during this time of covid if those basics are not being done then I can pretty much guarantee covid requirements are being met for place that is being rented to many groups of people. Last, the fence coming into the property has been damaged. Just thought I would mention that for safety reasons and not sure if you have been notified about that. We are pleased with our trip and thank you again.

Beautiful views!

The property was perfect for our family ! Definitely need 4 wh drive or chains in winter , but our weather great , hot tub be was on point ! And 10 min to App State and Blowing Rock Market etc. we had a blast! Doesn’t have TV in bedroom but we all enjoy the peace and quiet while sleeping. Will be back!!
