An ideal location

Not a private rental. Its a 2 unit house with a camper rental on the property. The out door area is shared amongst all renters. It worked out well for us. I just would have liked to know about the situation before hand. The location is darn near perfect!!!

Family vacation

Renting the property on Vrbo was easy. The house was is good shape and clean when we arrived. The location to the park was great and the view from the balcony was awesome. My family and I had a great time. I would recommend this property to others. The property owner was very friendly and accessable. Thanks again.

Perfect Vacation

The property was better then the pictures on the listing. The view from the back patio was amazing. This property is a block from the North entrance of Indiana Beach, so you can see and hear the park. If you have season passes this is the ideal location. My kids and I loved being able to go to Indiana Beach and walk back to the house to eat or change clothes and go back to the park. The back of this property is where its at. The patio over looks the back yard and the dock down at the lake. Having a dock where you can swim from, float from or boat from is amazing option. Right across the lake you have the boat rental and the Whiskey Saloon which has great food. The bay that the house is located in is a no wake bay so it is perfect from swimmers or floating on tubes. The inside of this location was better then pictured. There is definitely room to sleep 8+. Also, there is a washer and a dryer! That was so awesome to be able to wash all the wet lake stuff as soon as we came off the lake. It also has a dish washer which was super nice. The owner was easy to talk to and responded every-time I contacted him. He is a very easy going owner and I will definitely be renting with him again. All in all this was a perfect vacation, perfect location, and the perfect property to rent. I will be doing this again, my whole family enjoyed this vacation.

Amazing Stay!!!!

Thank you Mike for letting us come and stay at the Monticello house. It was clean and comfortable. We loved spending time on the balcony and relaxing: watching the boats, watching the kids swim, and watching the roller coaster from Indiana Beach. This is definitely a place I would recommend to others. I look forward to coming back again. It was so nice meeting you and your daughter. Thank you for an amazing stay!!!!

Good Location But Needs TLC

The owner was good for communication but the property itself was not well kept. The deck by the water was in good shape but everything else had been neglected. The house was covered in spider webs outside and extremely dark inside. One if the dining room chairs had an arm missing and the screws from it still sticking up. Also the boat we rented was barely running and also needed to be cleaned up and serviced. The place could be OK if it got some of the TLC it needs.

Nice getaway.

Nice place especially if you have kids The amusement park is literally walking distance, yet it does not interfere with your stay. Place was clean, with a nice deck overseeing the lake. Communication with owner was awesome. Nothing negative to say. Thanks for having us!

Would come back again

We all enjoyed our stay. The only thing I'd say is Mike needs to update pictures of the place. It is much nicer then the pics on VRBO. We all enjoyed the lake and the Amusement park.

Hidden gem

My wife and I wanted a quick get away and stumbled across this property. We were surprised at the amount of space on the inside! The property is newly renovated and was absolutely perfect. We were given a sneak peak at the lower apartment Reno and it looks fabulous! The dock was large and the owner was fantastic and easy to communicate with. This was a great, and affordable, place to stay. Will definitely come back!

Everything was great!
