We loved staying on the ground floor with younger kids. We worried it would affect our view of the ocean since we like staying on a higher floor for that reason but it was so beautiful! The condo was one of the best equipped we’ve stayed in. There were beach towels, toys, and beach reads if you need them! It was very kid friendly so we didn’t have to worry about them hurting themselves or anything that wasn’t ours in the condo! We are used to having to hide decor etc when we go anywhere but it was so nice to just relax and enjoy our stay. Stay Better Vacations was great to work with & kept us informed. The beach gear credit was so helpful & kept us from having to pack or buy chairs, umbrellas, etc. They even offered to ship us a couple items that were left behind. I would definitely stay in this condo again if we come back to Amelia Island. Thank you so much!

Beautiful condo

We have rented through ERA at Amelia South for ten years. We have stayed in M1 a few of those years. This year with Stay Better was a very pleasant experience. Much more than ERA. We will definitely continue to book with Stay Better! The condo is absolutely beautiful and so cozy. We had a much needed relaxing vacation.

Beautiful Condo!

Upon pulling up to the building I was worried it would be dated- the unit was clean, well stocked with all essentials, spacious, well decorated and smelled fantastic!We had a wonderful ocean front getaway! We liked the space so much we chose to cook dinner and enjoy the view instead of venturing out!

Perfect quick family getaway!

We absolutely loved our stay at this condo in Amelia Island! The location was perfect for our family of four kids. Being on the ground floor with a gated patio area gave us peace of mind, knowing our younger children couldn’t wander into the pool or beach unsupervised. The private beach access was incredibly convenient, and getting to the sand and ocean couldn’t have been easier. The condo itself was beautifully decorated, updated, and felt like a true home away from home. Everything was clean, comfortable, and well thought out for family. We had a wonderful experience and will definitely be back!

Accurate description and cute condo

The condo building is pretty dated but the condo itself is partially updated. It was our first time at this beach and we had a great time. If you like this area this was a great choice for the price point.

Spacious and comfortable

Our stay in M1 was wonderful. It was our second stay there. We have stayed in many Amelia South condos, and this is my favorite. The remodel is beautiful. The master bath configuration makes it more spacious. The beds and furniture are comfortable. Everything needed is in the kitchen. Bring warm comfy clothes as the AC is the living room is cold. The rental company was quick to take care of one issue and was easy to contact and checked on us the next day. The location on first floor is our favorite. We will stay in M1 for our next Amelia Island vacation!

Great Location

The Condo was in a great location - loved the ground level patio and grass area . Very easy walk to pool & beach! Management very responsive! Could definitely use some updating. Inside edges of kitchen drawers were pretty dirty. Some nooks & crannies could be cleaned better but overall cleanliness/main use areas were good. Beach chairs & outside items need to be replaced/updated. Overall very nice place to stay!

Spring break 2021

Overall this property was very nice. It was very clean and the proximity to the beach was fantastic! We could keep the screen door open and hear the waves and it allowed us to go back and forth to the beach easily. The bathrooms and kitchen could use some updating- fans in the bathrooms would make a huge difference, but it wouldn’t keep us from renting this property again. Only real complaint was the coffee maker- it was disgusting and had mold inside the water reservoir. If you rent this property bring your own coffee maker, or plan on making a daily Starbucks run.

Fantastic Place

My husband and I stayed in M1 for a week after Christmas. We really liked the updated furnishings, paint, flooring -- felt like a resort, which was nice because we had to cancel our hotel vacation in St Pete due to COVID. The kingbed, pillows and sheets were very comfortable. The kitchen is SERIOUSLY stocked with almost any thing you need to make a gourmet meal or drink. Ice maker in freezer really worked! Appreciated the high quality plates, glassware and silverware. Management responded quickly to get a sprinkler contractor out to fix the sprinkler head outside of our patio which was soaking the chairs and rug. Note -- this is an older building, so don't expect giant luxurious bathrooms (on the small size) and both bedrooms still have carpet. I have serious allergies but did not have any reactions. The public spaces were clean and well-maintained. Cannot beat the view of the water and sky. We hope to come back next year.

Very Disappointing. Needs Serious Attention

Sofa & Loveseat while fairly new were dirty to the point where we had to put a sheet on them to sit. The coffee pot and toaster over were from the 1980's or older. Rugs in the L.R. and patio were worn and dirty and stained. The patio furniture should have been thrown away 20 years ago. Got our money refunded & went home. Had a dirty stinking mop in the closet that smelled up everything and you couldn't use the pots and pans for all the scratch's in them. Looked great online but terrible in person.

Book as last resort

Pros: Amelia South condos are in a great location. This particular unit has ideal location within complex. First floor making access to pool and beach especially easy. Near end of complex keeping it quiet and away from clanging gate to pool. Beautiful view of ocean. Living and dining area have been updated and are lovely. Management company kindly called and informed us the unit was ready early which was a very nice touch. Cons: The owner shows a lack of appreciation for the renter, in our opinion. The simple fact that the coffee machine water reservoir is disgusting! I see that this has been addressed by other renters. This should be an easy and cheap upgrade, so why hasn’t the owner purchased a new coffee pot? All other areas need updating badly, kitchen and baths in particular. Kitchen drawers are gross. Screen on door isn’t attached. Bathroom has mold and gross stuff in crevices. Extra bedding provide for pull out bed but sheets are literally thread bare in several spots. We didn’t use pullout but did use the extra sheet for napping on the couch. The price per night appears higher than most in the complex but amenities do not merit paying more. Either the owner needs to lower price significantly, update unit, or sell because he/she does not appreciate that renters are supporting him/her.

This location is perfect! Had everything we needed for a fun weekend getaway! Refrigerator may need to be checked out, didn't seem to get very cold. But other than that this place was amazing! Can't wait to return!

Amelia Island

I was quite hesitant about staying at this property based on the last two reviews. My husband, daughter (almost 3yo), and I stayed for one week. We very much enjoyed our stay. Pros: Unit is on the ground level which is quiet and very convenient to the pool and beach. The beach is clean and beautiful. My daughter loved the pool. The complex is family friendly and closely located to downtown Amelia Island with lots of cute shops and restaurants! The unit is spacious, plenty of room for the three of us. The living area is updated and has a beautiful view out to the ocean. There is access to the patio from both the master and living room. Cons: Overall, it was clean and comfortably. Previous reviews of the condo being “disgusting” is completely off. The kitchen is outdated, but clean and well stocked. I will admit, the bathrooms could us love. The showers have poor water pressure and no working ventilation system. There is carpet in both bedroom which could use some updating. The spare in particular had some stains. Other areas that just need a deep clean are between the screen door and back patio. Overall, we had an excellent vacation. I would stay at this complex again, but not in this particular unit for the price.
