Simple, close to everything and in the middle of nothing. The property is close enough to all things you want to do in the area without having to get stuck in the crazy traffic that can be the Foley, Gulf Shores, Orange Beach triangle. The following are all in a 5 mile radius of the property:

Entertainment: OWA, Tropical Falls, The Wharf, Creek Side Mini Golf, Gulf Bowl Bowling
Shopping: Tanger Outlets, Old Time Pottery, and beach shops galore
Nature: Wolf Bay, Graham Creek Nature Preserve, Bamahenge, Dinosaurs in the Woods
Local Food: Wolf Bay, Tin Roof, Lambert's Cafe, Fish River Grill

Then within 15 minutes via the beach express or Hwy 59 are all the water and beach adventures your heart desires.

Beaches: Orange Beach, Perdido Key, Gulf Shores, Gulf Shore State Park

Deep Sea Fishing: Trips daily from Wolf Bay and Perdido Key launch sites.

The lists above barely scratch the surface of things in the immediate area, but are some of our local favorites. Everything you could want is minutes away without having to spend every minute in resort area traffic or spend resort area prices. We love it.

My grandfather and grandmother moved from Murfreesboro TN in 1987 after he retired from the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA). He drew the plans for this house out on a napkin and gave it to a builder to make their dream home. It was designed simply to have a space for everything they thought important. They were the only ones to ever own the property until we bought it. When they built the house it was on a dirt road in the county and Foley's population was about 5,000. There was no beach express, OWA, Tanger Outlets, or The Wharf.

Over the years the area, the house and our family saw many changes. My grandfather, a Navy WWII veteran use to claim he put Foley on the map after making it on stage with Bob Barker on the Price is Right and winning a breakfast table. The same breakfast table you will eat on at the property today.

We bought the house in 2024 to keep it in the family and keep their legacy alive. It has been recently remodeled with new carpet, paint, remodeled bathrooms, kitchen counters and appliances. While remodeling we made things new but kept certain features like wood cabinets, some original furniture, paneling, and a jacuzzi tub in the corner of the master bedroom. Yes, in the room so please don't be shocked. It is a little strange, maybe a lot, but unique to them and memories so we kept it there.
