Our family used this location for our annual family weekend. We loved our stay here. We spent time by the pond, in the outdoor gathering space and in the gym. The kids and adults had an enjoyable weekend.

The price is a lot compared to other rentals we have rented and due to couple windows leaking rain water. Also, didn’t care for the minimum of three days rental as we only needed for two days.

This property is stunning! The pictures are great but the grounds are more beautiful than pictures could ever portray!! So many activities for the whole family! I would recommend this vacation rental for anyone wanting a fun and peaceful retreat!

Location was perfect for us, loved the basketball court, kitchen was very nice, rooms were nice and comfortable beds. Had a great time!

We had a wonderful stay. We had 11 family members stay in the home and another 12 for lunch and dinner on Saturday. (With permission from the host). It was really important for us to have indoor and outdoor areas with no steps as many of the family there Saturday were elderly.The kitchen is stocked better than any vacation rental we have ever rented!! The patio and view from the living room is magnificent. Such a beautiful quiet area. The gym/pickleball court was a wonderful bonus! Although it does get hot it is cooler in the evening and early morning. The small lake and beach area is another bonus!! The Traeger grill was such a nice added benefit. We had the best smoked meat for dinner!!! The host was wonderful to work with and we would definitely consider renting again!

Great property with room to spread out

Great open house with places for adults to relax and kids to run around. We enjoyed the outdoors, watching some storms outside and playing some pickleball in the gym (though it does get hot in the gym).

Great house for entertaining

Great house, very well stocked. We found it clean and nicely updated. Beds were all very comfortable. We had a great time with a pickleball tournament in the gym (which is in the upstairs of the barn).

Family Weekend

Everything about the property was more than perfect. The host were great. Very helpful and accommodating. There were about 20 of us and everyone loved this place. It made for a really special weekend. I hope we can visit again in the future. I have traveled all over the United States and stayed at some awesome and unique Cabins and Homes and this by far is 1 of my top favorite places that I've stayed.

One of the best!

We so enjoyed our time at the big yellow barn! The property is absolutely beautiful - clean and well-maintained. We were in the area for our youngest son's wedding at The Acreage south of Palmyra and this location was fantastic! Less than 4 miles from the venue - worked out perfectly for our group. Six adults stayed in the rental and we could easily have housed another 10. So much room!! Our host was quick to respond with any questions and the entire check-in and check-out process was seamless. Everything you need for an enjoyable stay is on site. I am hoping The Acreage will add this to their list of information for venue clients - what a great opportunity to promote both facilities!

We couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay with our large group of 15 for our son’s wedding at Seven Willows just 20 minutes away. With ample food and drink storage with 2 full fridges and and a kitchen that had everything we needed to prepare and serve for a crowd with an array of spices cooking oil sugar and coffee available. We enjoyed the deck with the beautiful shady tree with so many birds to watch, and hot tub as well as the beautiful sunrises and sunsets to start and end our day. The gym/court was a hit with the younger crowd -so much fun. The large dining table was great for a sit down meal together. Our Host Devon was so accessible and quickly responded to any questions. We’re hoping to stay again at “our” Barn when we return to visit family and friends. This place gets 10 out of 5 stars!

Beautiful getaway

It was a beautiful home away from home. It was very welcoming and spacious. The kitchen was my favorite, very spacious for everyone to cook together and gather. There are quite a few stairs but well worth it that lead to great rooms the lofts are a bit worrisome with small children. The fire pits are such great gathering places to make s'mores. The beach however I would say swim at your own comfort. It isn't what I would consider a lake or pond, there are lots of tree stumps and sticks at the bottom, the water was very discolored. It just wasn't what we expected. Overall though it was a wonderful and peaceful getaway and the owners are so welcoming and easy to communicate with. Can't wait to go back.

Ginger, Thanks for the 5 star review and I am thrilled you had a great experience overall. My family thinks The Barn is a special place. As you know we are not done with our projects since we recently purchased this property. I appreciate the feedback on the lofts and pond. Just so you know we are putting up railings on the loft for safety. Finally, the pond a month ago was full of algae and the beach was 4 foot tall weeds. Next time you are back we think you will love it even more. All the best!

Our family of 17 had a great stay at The Barn! We loved the gym for pickleball and basketball and the kitchen had top end appliances and plenty of tableware for family meals. Devon was quick to respond to questions and timely at getting us information. Well worth the 30 minute drive to Lincoln.

We had a great time at the barn. The house stayed nice and cool. The kids enjoyed all the extra amenities and outside space to run and play. Our propane tank did run out of propane afrer one day and we were not supplied or offered another one for the remainder of the time we stayed here. This made things a little tricky for cooking and feeding the family but we made due with what we had. Probably a good idea to have an extra propane tank on hand in the future. Location wise its a little far out, but if you are looking for wide open space, room to play games, cook out, ect ect you can't go wrong with this place.
