Located in Gurley, Alabama, this metal building is a brilliant choice for guests seeking a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life. With 1 cozy bedroom featuring a queen bed, a well-equipped bathroom with a walk-in shower, some basic amenities which includes toilet paper, towels, washcloths, and a hair dryer. It features the convenient amenities like heating, AC, (brand new mini splits installed in April 2025) and free WiFi (Due to location, it can be spotty at times). Kitchen with basic amenities, including a Keurig and some k-cups. Also we provide a stackable washer and dryer for guest use with some pods provided. This fantastic property has everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Our place will help you feel at home while you're traveling. You may see turkey, deer, and an occasional owl. They do not bother guests. 1 1/2 miles from a small lake perfect for a picnic, Eagle watching, or fishing (poles and tackle provided, license required). 30 minutes from downtown Huntsville or the Space and Rocket Center and less than an hour from Guntersville Lake. Absolutely no alcohol or drugs are allowed on the premises.

Very nice and cozy spot. Nice patio area with a pleasant view. Everything in the Hut was comfortable, with all the creature comforts. Highly recommended.

It was the perfect setting for a getaway and the hut is absolutely adorable and well stocked. The hosts were very attentive and welcoming. We are already planning our next trip and we will for sure be staying here again! Thanks again Matt and Crystal

Nice, cozy getaway.

This place is perfect for any folks wanting to get a relaxing stay but still have a closeness to the city. I was close to enough to visit the Space Center, Monte Sano(great place to hike and play disc golf), check out the comic book stores, and have a variety of restaurants. Next visit, I will eat at some of the more local establishments near Gurley.

Amazing Getaway

We really enjoyed our stay. The views were amazing as the sun was setting. Deer would come out every evening. The host was amazing. Already looking forward to a return visit.

Cozy getaway in the mountains

This house is out a bit, which is exactly what we like. Sit on the patio and you get a fantastic view of the mountains. Go for a walk and put your legs to the test. The hosts left a great welcome gift, and were wonderful to talk to. Highly recommend staying here...

Breathtaking Views- peaceful & comfort

Wonderful mountain retreat

The hut was very comfy and clean, and Crystal was very responsive to any communication. Directions to home and to get in were very clear, as well as house rules, which are relaxed. Crystal even provided some snacks, drinks, and other items that were so thoughtful. The view from the hut is amazing and the location is quiet, peaceful and relaxing.We would definitely stay again.

Quonset Magic

This property is a hidden gem. The location is beautiful and peaceful, surrounded by views of the mountains, and the owners are some of the kindest people I have met. They stocked us up with snacks, local goodies from the area, and maintain a level of top notch quality rarely seen these days.Whether we are coming back for a short visit or staying a while, Ill be checking to see if this is available from now on.

Peaceful Stay in the Mountains of North Alabama

The Quonset hut was cozy, clean, and accommodating. Our hosts were friendly and communicative and provided great directions to the place as well as instructions for getting into the hut. The forest behind the hut was just lovely, as well as the surrounding views. It was a quiet and calm place. Madison County Lake was just a few minutes drive from the hut; we didn't fish or boat, but we enjoyed walking on the grounds, admiring the plants as well as the birds, including geese and ducks. It is a short drive to Huntsville, which is where we were operating during the days. All in all, it was a great experience and our hosts were fantastic.

Furnishings are excellent. internet was down the weekend I stayed there. The repair man pulled up as I was leaving. The AC in the bedroom was very loud, but I had earplugs so it was ok. Well appointed kitchen, very clean. Would stay there again.

A Wonderful Rural Stay near Huntsville AL

My husband and I were intrigued by the possibility of staying in a Quonset Hut. Now my retired Army veteran can mark that off his bucket list. The setting is so nice and peaceful, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The size of our quarters was nice and large. It was quite comfortable and nicely decorated. The kitchen was well-equipped for our needs. Crystal and Matt were very responsive to our messages and willing to go the extra mile. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the Huntsville area.

Perfect Hut tucked-away for a wonderful get-a-way!

This was the perfect cabin for two. Extremely clean quiet and comfortable. Beautifully decorated, with all the comforts of home, without the noise of city traffic. Nice view, beautiful sunsets, cool crisp mornings. We enjoyed a week in the Huntsville area, visiting family, and seeing the sites. While you are there, don't forget to visit nearby Madison County Lake, also a nice quiet area to just count your blessings and enjoy God's creation. If you are looking to get away from the rat race of the city, I highly recommend this "Quonset Hut", an awesome location, and a wonderful couple to work with, extremely helpful and professional. We look forward to booking this location on our next journey to Huntsville, AL
