Ephrat was very attentive and her home is lovely. Incredibly clean and a stunning view of the mountains. Super accessible to the town of Great Barrington - we were able to walk there. Would definitely stay again!

Beautiful location!

We stayed at Ephrat’s home in Great Barrington and it was a lovely home in a fantastic location. The view is gorgeous and you’re so close to downtown GB but tucked away to feel very private. The home itself is clean, spacious and well-stocked. Ephrat is a wonderful host and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Relaxing weekend get away

Perfect home for relaxing, many areas in the home as well as in the yard to sit back and enjoy the view of the mountains. The home is very well stocked, all you need to bring is your clothes. The owner Ephrat,met us for check in, gave us a tour and instructions.We also could help ourselves to the garden produce, beautiful flower gardens throughout the yard. We enjoyed the patio fire pit area, the deck with views, the screened in porch and yard. The home is clean and comfortable. 20 min walk to the farmers market, shops and restaurants. We took the kayaks out twice, we loaded them in our cars for transport.

Excellent Location, Great Space for a Girls Weekend

The property was immaculately clean. The location was a short walk to town. Great Barrington is a delightful town for shopping and dining. There were several comfortable sitting areas that were very conducive for conversation. Overall great property.

Friends at Beautiful Getaway

This property was beautifully styled and maintained. We truly felt like we were welcomed into someone’s home. The house was large enough for our group of 8 to spend time together and apart. The art, both inside and out, was quirky and lovely. The location is excellent for exploring the Berkshires area without being in the craziest parts of tourist activity.

Needs updated listing and some repairs

The location and layout of the property are great--10 min walk to the shops and such of Great Bsrrington in one direction and lovely Lake Mansfield in the other--BUT before we checked in, we learned the dishwasher was broken and could not be repaired, and after we checked in I learned the cart to move the provided canoe and kayak to the boat launch at the lake was not available. This was actually a huge disappointment as my family and guests were looking forward to this activity. The host suggested affixing the boats to our car--it was a rental, not a viable solution. In addition, the toaster was not functioning and the host kept multiple refrigerators under lock and key and monitored our coming and going via security cameras while I empathize with wanting to be sure your property is safe and your renters are abiding by rules, the cumulative impact was that I felt as though I was renting from a host who was deeply ambivalent about renting his property. At the price point of this rental, I would expect an accurate listing and frankly, had I known that the kayaks and canoes were not available I wouldn't have rented the property. I'm giving 3 stars because the location and property itself was lovely.

Great weekend getaway

We had a wonderful stay in this house. It has lots of space for a big family. It is updated, clean, and very comfortable. The location was great and the views were as advertised.

We felt like we were literally surrounded by mountains

I am very particular with cleanliness and this house was immaculate. Beds were extremely comfortable, property owner was extremely communicative and responded to us right away! The house was fully supplied with everything that I would normally be ‘schlepping’. Totally recommend a stay in this beautiful home!

Large home in great area

We had a wonderful stay at the house. We were a party of 10 (6 adults and 4 kids) and we all slept very comfortably with lots of space to spread out. The first floor has an open floor plan so we were able to cook and spend time with the family simultaneously. The owner was super helpful providing detailed instructions and emailing us a list of things do in the area. She was easily reachable if we had any questions. She was also very understanding and accommodating with a last minute issue that came up for us. The house is very close to the town, restaurants and Butternut ski mountain. I would highly recommend staying there.

Amazing home for our reunion.

This rental was perfect for our amazing mother-daughter weekend. It was so comfortable and clean. The kitchen was ideal for our great meals together and the beds were super comfy. The bathrooms were very current and well equipped . Really loved and Ephrat was delightful.

Perfect property for a large group

Ephrat's home is perfect for a large group. We had 11 people and everyone slept comfortably. The open floor plan is great for cooking and hanging out, and the backyard is peaceful. The beautiful views off the top floor balcony and from the backyard make this place a true gem. Ephrat and her husband, Benny, met us when we checked in and gave us a tour of the place. We felt right at home. You can walk to Great Barrington center (10 mins) and nearby Lake Mansfield (2 mins). We even took the canoe out for a spin on the lake. I highly recommend this property!

This is our second time staying here because the hosts have made every effort to ensure we enjoy our stay. Most importantly, the house is very, very clean. There are clear instructions and tips throughout the house. The furniture is comfortable. Great views and great location, too.

Very nice home with all of the amenities

From the moment we arrived at this property I knew I made the right choice..Ephrat and her husband were there to greet us and show us around the house. The beds were comfortable and the rooms spacious. There were 6 of us and we never got in each other's way. The view overlooking Great Barrington was beautiful. Up the road from the house was a very pretty lake. I'm sure it would be great in the summer. Great Barrington is full of great restaurants and was a nice town to just walk around. I would recommend this home to anyone travelling in this area.

Comfortable, clean house in a fabulous location

My family of 4 along with 2 other families of 4 enjoyed our stay in this very clean, functional home. Minutes by car from downtown Great Barrington and 10 minutes away from ski butternut makes the location ideal to enjoy various activities. In addition, Ephrat was a pleasure to work with. Would definitely recommend!

A happy experience despite the rainy weekend!

My husband and I recently spent a rainy family anniversary weekend at Ephrat's house with our two grown kids, spouses and three grandkids. The house is sparkling clean, with lots of extras supplied like shampoo and paper towels, plus a well stocked kitchen, a wonderful view, lots of colorful flowers and a fabulous sunporch where we play lots of games since the rain did not allow us to use the nearby lake and take the hikes we had intended., The hosts have taken great care to make our experience there very pleasant and comfortable. In fact, Ephrat showed us what she called their "Tanglewood Kit" in their garage which included collapsible tables, chairs and umbrellas, the latter of which we were very grateful for when we went to a concert on the lawn, in the rain! We would definitely recommend this Berkshires Weekend Getaway home!

Quiet, relaxing getaway with a hospitable hostess

Ephrat was very welcoming and gracious, spending time to make sure we knew every detail of this wonderful property with great views. We made use of each of the coffee makers, so thanks for the instructions! All of the things you take for granted that were included in the stay (towels, linens, soaps, paper towels, etc, etc). The comfortable home was the hub for a 3 family get together and offered spaces where we could gather together as well as spots to spend time in solitude. The small lake is just a short walk down the hill as is the town of Great Barrington, very clean and refreshing. It was just a short drive to Lennox where we spent time at the Shakespeare Theatre, Norman Rockwell Museum, Daniel French property and walking around town. This home made our long weekend in the Berkshires very special, hope we can do it again someday!

Girls Weekend 10/2017

11 old pals had a great weekend at this Great Barrington, MA getaway nestled in the Berkshire Mountains. The house has great outdoor space with a deck overlooking the Berkshires, an outdoor fire pit with lots of seating and a very roomy screened in porch. The kitchen had all the amenities that one looks for in a rental house with professional stove, dishwasher, large fridge and a picture window facing the beautiful Berkshires. The living room was extremely cozy with comfy couches and chairs and a large flat screen TV for movie watching or just listening to music. There was also plenty of space for all of us to sleep comfortably. There are many options for hiking through the mountains and wonderful museums close by as well as shopping , and dining in downtown Great Barrington. Would recommend to large groups and also for couples just wanting to get away from the city life. The owners were very nice and have a wealth of information at their finger tips. Highly recommend.

We have been living in the Berkshires for more than 30 years. When our children left the nest, we started "filling the nest" with guests we enjoy hosting.

Location: 2 minutes walk to the lake, 10 mins walk to downtown, home to many delightful restaurants, shops, galleries, and theater venues (Mahaiwe Performing Arts & Triplex Movie Theater). This house is a short drive to Tanglewood, Jacobs Pillow, Shakespeare & Co. etc. During summer there are many activities & events every day for people of all ages. During the fall, the view from the house is even more stunning. During the winter you can visit nearby skiing resorts. The house is 8 mins drive to Butternut Ski area (3.8 miles), and 15 mins drive to Catamount ski area (8miles). Guests who have stayed at our house say the picture do not do it justice. It is difficult to describe how wonderful it is. Please read our reviews.
