Great Spot

Several family members and I rented this house for the weekend. We were in town for my brother‘s wedding. Not only was the home and location, beautiful, but also we had plenty of space to entertain others in town for the wedding. It was a great stay with many fond memories made. Thanks to Rob, our host, for such great accommodations.

Spacious Retreat

Beautiful, private location for family reunion. We had 13 ppl ages ranging from 9-70. Robert was a very friendly and accommodating host eager to speak about the elements of the property. Some of us got sick so weren’t able to capitalize on the nearby hike but having the patio view was a nice substitute. Would definitely recommend

The property was absolutely stunning. The custom log home had everything that we needed with room to spare. The hosts were very accommodating and a pleasure to deal with. The big beautiful dog on site might have very well saved my son in law from a bear attack. He was walking along the trail out back and the dog followed him. The dog then moved ahead of him just before a mama bear and cub appeared just 10 feet away. The dog stayed right there until son in law had a chance to slowly back far enough away. All in all, a great VRBO find.

Thought it looked great, was even better.

We did a large family reunion here. I don't even know where to begin. 1. The grounds and location were amazing. There were so many places to hang out in the house, and in the grounds. 2. This property includes the use of a small mountain behind the property. There's a nice trail leading right from the property up to the logging road and trail system. There are so many windy trails, we didn't manager to get through them or even make it to the top of the mountain. 3. VACATION DOGS! So, I'm sure that dogs are not guaranteed, but when we arrived we were greeted by two incredibly friendly dogs. The kids spent so much time playing with the dogs. We'd get back from an adventure, and they'd hop out of the car and start looking for the dogs to play with. Every time we went for a hike up the mountain, the dogs accompanied us. 4. Rob was incredibly helpful about every little thing. 5. The kitchen was well appointed. There is a degree of confusion because of all the weddings that have been through there mixing things up. There were quite a few partially disassembled coffee makers, but we ended up with our coffee brewing. The kitchen was big, and we prepared many great meals. 6. The whole area was beautiful, with so many places to see and things to do. I'd highly recommend this place. Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer.

We booked this home to celebrate a milestone birthday. Rob was very pleasant & Overall, we enjoyed our stay but there are a few things we’d recommend before we would come back. The property is truly amazing and beautiful! You feel like you are a million miles away but reality is it was less than an hours drive from home. We were fortunate to be able to sit outside by the campfire every night. There is plenty of wood on site. The home is large with a big deck, lots of room for socializing. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of dishes/utensils and there is a second fridge which came in super handy! The couple of negatives we experienced were there was a recent hatching of carpenter ants inside the home which was not pleasant to deal with (ants and winged ants). One bedroom had so many we couldn’t use the room for sleeping. We did advise Rob & suggested he needs to get a pest control company in to treat and remove the nest inside the home. He did say his cleaners had advised him of the ants, so it was extremely disappointing it wasn’t properly addressed before our stay or that we weren’t advised beforehand. This obviously made my group uneasy about sleeping. It could use a good deep clean & a few minor repairs that come from renting a home. The furniture is very old & while fits the aesthetic of the house, the couches really need replacing/stuffing as you can’t sit in them comfortably. We have rented homes for over 20yrs & take pride in always getting invited back. TY

The Wilderness Oasis

Rented this property for a family reunion, and we all enjoyed the property so much that we never left to do any activities, we played pool, cards, hiked etc. To not hear a car or traffic for 3 days was so absolutely refreshing.

Our visit was everything we hoped for. The house and grounds are beautiful. It was quiet and restful and the space was clean and thoughtfully set up. We had everything needed to cook and play. We are return visitors and every time has been consistently great.

Amazing house in stunning location. If you have the opportunity to stay her book it!!

This property is amazing. We were made so welcome on arrival and Rob made sure we had everything we needed. We had a family reunion and had more than enough space for our 19 guests. The added bonus for us was the trails leading straight from the property and we were joined each day on our walks by Dylan and. Bobbie Ron's wonderful family friendly dogs. If we are fortunate enough to visit Canada again this would be the first property we would try and book.

Birthday Party

The Artisan Lodge is a spectacular, beautiful and peaceful home nestled in a forest like setting. This log home was the perfect place for a family and friends celebration. With so many bedrooms/bathrooms and the amazing bar/party room, we were able to have a memorable gathering. Rob, the owner, was so accommodating, helpful and kind. We couldn’t have asked for a better location and we sincerely thank Rob for all his help and for allowing us to have our party at the lodge. I highly recommend this place and hope to stay there again.

Amazing fit for our youth leadership retreat

We had rented the house for a youth leadership retreat and we managed to fit 28 of us in the house, with the youngest ones in sleeping bags on the basement floor and still had plenty of space. The house is very spacious, beautiful and clean. There was plenty of space for us inside and out to run all our activities with ease. Even though there was no wi-fi our members really enjoyed themselves by utilizing the pool table for games of pool and coming together to building the puzzles available. The backyard was the real treat. The string lights made our meals outside super memorable and very Instagram-able. Rob was also fantastic, responded quickly whenever we had questions. His dogs Bobby and Dylan also stars of the property. Our kids loved them so much and loved having them around. Overall, this property is highly recommended!

Family wedding reunion - perfect!

Rob and his home were everything we hoped for and more. Ideallic location, beautiful rooms, huge kitchen. A perfect location to house family and friends for our daughters wedding. What a magical and beautiful location, the home is very well-maintained very clean and has excellent spaces for large gatherings or intimate conversations. The home was lovingly built by Rob and you can sure tell. It truly is a masterpiece. My family and I had so much fun we are rebooking for next year again. Rob was super helpful and friendly. A Dream Come True

We absolutely loved the house and surroundings. It was so beautiful. Plenty of room for everyone and yet so cozy. My husband and I renewed our vows on the property with our children and grandchildren. It was everything I could ask for and more. Rob was an amazing host. We will definitely go back and recommend to everyone. If you are looking for your own little rustic paradise, this it it!!!!!!
