Serenity Views - A unique property in the Heart of Portugals Silver Coast
Vistas de Serenidade was originally a storage barn for the famous Reinette apples grown in the orchard where the barn is situated. Now lovingly converted to a tasteful space where you can come "home" and relax to the sounds of nature in the heart of Portugal's Silver Coast.
Enjoy the surrounding views from the outside deck or from the comfort of the open-plan living area, complete with a large sofa bed, armchair and Smart TV with access to your favourite “Netflix” programmes. Private wifi is accessible throughout the property.
The fully equipped kitchen with all necessary appliances including a 'Dolce Gusto' coffee maker, washing machine, fridge/freezer and dishwasher for your convenience. Alternatively, an outdoor BBQ is also exclusively available. Meals can be served at the dining table, or enjoyed 'al fresco' on the outdoor private patio.
After dinner, enjoy a sundowner whilst watching one of the many stunning sunsets over the picturesque valley.
Retire to the serene separate bedroom, with comfortable double bed. Wake restored, refreshed and relaxed after a restful night's sleep. The spacious private ensuite with walk-in shower gets you ready for the new day's adventures.
Your safety is naturally not compromised as the property comes complete with smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector, fire extinguisher, fire blanket and first aid kit. Your car is safely and easily accessible from the private carpark adjacent to the accommodation.
Locally there are a multitude of options to fill your days as you make those all important lifelong memories. After several years of living here, we continue to discover unique gems on a regular basis.
Historical Óbidos, with its fully walled medieval castle and town, Buddha Eden, the wine farm with an amazing statue garden which must be seen to be believed, and the bustling market town of Caldas da Rainha are all on the doorstep along with numerous hikes and marked trails.
Within a 30km/20 mile radius you can explore exquisite beaches, ancient antiquities, dinosaur remains, golf courses, vineyards and wineries, surfing - including the surfing meccas of Nazare and Peniche - plus various religious and cultural sites.
Widen your net to 60km/40 miles and you will discover UNESCO Heritage sites, even more stunning pristine beaches, caves, excavated Roman ruins, legendary Fatima, Tomar, Sintra, Batalha, Mafra, Alcobaca and of course the capital city of Lisbon to name just a few.
For nature lovers, you can see first-hand birds of prey, flamingoes and numerous other species in their natural habitats.
There are numerous leaflets, guides and online resources available to offer further suggestions and ideas.

Hi! We are Liesa and Steve.
Liesa is originally from South Africa and Steve is originally from the UK. We met in Ireland where we were both working at the time.
In 2020 we moved - along with our little cairn terrier Macey – to Portugal's beautiful Silver Coast, and spent the next 3 years working with our local Portuguese crafters to renovate the house, gardens and barn into the vision that you see today.

Having succesfully worked in a Corporate environment for many years, when planning our move, we intentionally wanted to experience authentic Portugal.
We also specifically wanted to be close and accesible to the numerous local attarctions, however, as nature lovers, the tranquility of living in a more rural setting was important to us.
We found our quiet rural neighbourhood, surrounded by fruit farms in all directions, and couldn't be happier with our choice.
It really is a calm, tranquil and serene Oasis in the centre of everything.
Our local medieval walled town of Obidos, with its stunning castle, authentic shops selling local crafts and souvenirs, and numerous quality restaurants, is just a15 minute drive away.
Within a 30km/20 mile radius you can explore exquisite beaches, ancient antiquities, dinosaur remains, golf courses, vineyards and wineries, surfing - including the surfing meccas of Nazare and Peniche - plus various religious and cultural sites.

With the help of our local Portuguese builders, we have created a "home" that is deceptively spacious, maximised by the open plan design. It retains its high vaulted ceilings, and original features, but this has not compromised the level of comfort or fresh airy feel of the barn.
Outside, make the most of the stuning views with wide angled vistas across the valley, which can be enjoyed from the private deck just outside the front door.
Adjacent private parking is also includeded
