Siga el camino menos transitado hacia las colinas de Ozark en esta pintoresca casa de campo con vistas al valle del río Gasconade en el centro de Missouri. La acogedora casa de campo de tres habitaciones ofrece un respiro cómodo y moderno tanto para parejas como para familias. Los huéspedes encuentran el aislamiento, la renovación, la comodidad y los estimulantes placeres del país.
Tres habitaciones con camas queen ofrecen dormir para seis personas. Un gran salón abierto contiene áreas de estar, comedor y cocina. Hay un baño completo. Una cubierta abierta es excelente para contemplar el valle y las colinas. Traiga sólo sus artículos personales. Todo lo demás se proporciona. No hay nadie más cerca de esta casa.
El aislado entorno rural aislado es ideal para los amantes de la naturaleza y los entusiastas del aire libre. Relajarse en el entorno bucólico. Our time at the Turkey Ridge Cottage was absolutely wonderful, and provided us with all of the peace and quiet we were searching for. We really didn't need to bring much as it was stocked so well! Tom and Kathy were so friendly! We were able to walk around the area, cook our foil packs in the firepit, and watch the sunset. We enjoyed the historical books about Turkey Ridge, and the book which Tom wrote. We could not have found a more tranquil and beautiful place to stay! Thank you Tom and Kathy!

The cabin was very clean and cozy and the surrounding property is extremely beautiful! We came to fish, and every inch of the riverbank below holds both small and largemouth bass, plenty of pumpkin seeds and bluegill. You won’t need to paddle much further than the sandbar across from the slough.Both canoes had holes in them but Kathy was so quick to bring kayaks down for us. Enough can not be said about the hospitality that Kathy and Tom extended to us, if it was personally towing our car from the river drive (the 4wheel drive warning needs to be heeded… our fault) or helping us up and down the 2nd day, The did everything to make sure the stay exceeded our expectations.

What a wonderful stay! We loved how easy it was to access the river and the scenery is amazing! We loved just walking around the area and creek beds. It was so clean and comfortable!

Beautiful property. The seclusion was good and as expected. The cabin was clean and well furnished. The access to the river was more difficult than expected. You need a 4-wheel drive to get to the river or hike down about half mile. The road to the river is fairly steep and rocky, you’ll do best in hiking shoes as tennis shoes will slip alot. But it was a difficult hike down and up for us, once was enough. The water right there was pretty murky, you have to either walk the river up to clearer water or navigate one of the canoes to the clearer water. We didn't do either because we didn't feel comfortable trying to get the canoe to the water and then have toget around the debris in the water. We did have a very relaxing stay and we were able to disconnect and recharge.

Cabin in the woods

We had a lovely stay. The cabin was clean, quiet and fun to stay in. We loved the secluded location and enjoyed the hike and the river. The canoe leaked water but not bad enough to be an issue. We did have a pretty difficult time hauling the canoe out of the water. If I had been with anyone less physically capable I don’t think we could’ve gotten it out. Overall we loved the place and would stay again.

Peace

I can't wait to return. The view was amazing and instantly drained all the stress out of my body. I spent hours sitting outside, and a couple dogs came to visit and played with my dog Tasha. They were very well behaved and sweet. Inside was spotless and very comfortable as i fell asleep on the couch the first night even though there were 3 very nice beds available. I wish i could give this property 10 stars.

Secluded Cabin with a View

Fantastic cabin. Great view of river. Inside of cabin is like stepping back in time to the 1930/1940's. Absolutely beautiful. Peaceful and quiet. Surrounded by forest and a gravel road to the cabin. A percect weekend getaway!

Such a cute little cabin! The wood burning stove was fantastic, kept the entire place nice and cozy. The sunset is breathtaking and impossible to capture its beauty with a camera shot. We hope to be back someday.

Autumn Getaway

We stayed at the Turkey Ridge cottage and had a beautiful Gasconade kayak trip. The property was secluded and peaceful. The hosts took great care of us and we will be returning. Thank you again!

Great getaway

Peace and quiet and cozy cottage! We enjoyed playing in the river and used the canoes one day. Lots of time spent by the fire pit and hammock. Owners were very responsive and helpful.

Off the beaten path

Perfect little place large enough for 3 couples. We enjoyed the view! The large picnic table was great for having dinner outside. Make sure to have your supplies with you when checking in - its almost 20 minutes to town and the cabin is too nice to leave once youve arrived!

Great stay.

A beautiful place to get away with the family! The river was lovely after a little bit of a struggle to get out of the slough with all of us on the canoe because the water was low from a dry summer. Would recommend 10/10 as a nice quite/private getaway.

Great weekend

The initial property was fun. The views were amazing, with a quick walk to the river. My wife loved the vintage pantry. We had an issue by no fault of the host and they were more than willing to help. The second place was just as great for a weekend getaway.

Excellent escape from city life!

This was one of my best vacations ever. The area was remote enough to be quiet and serene but close enough to a bigger town to get supplies for out stay. My family loved being out in the outdoors, especially being so close to a river. This vacation really allowed us to unplug and rest from busy city life. We all can’t wait to get back and do it again!

Quiet and private get away

This is the perfect location to unplug and unwind. Kathy was great at communicating both before our trip and showed us everything we needed during check in. Once we checked in the whole trip was quiet and private. We did not see any humans the rest of our stay and at times forgot their were others on property. River access was walking distance from the property and the nearby sand bar made for full days of both fishing and swimming. We were provided all of our favorite parts of camping and being outdoors with they added luxury of AC, a hot shower, and a soft bed at the end of a long day in nature. As we were packing up our group was already having conversations about when we can find time to go back!

Best cabin and vacation we have been on.

Check in was amazing Mrs Heather came to see that we were informed about the stay and the different things there were to do. The pictures of turkey ridge cabin are not updated yet. The cabin has been completely redone inside and painted outside. To say it is beautiful is an understatement. Everything is set up for comfort and convenience. The beds were beyond comfortable and never had us wishing we were in our own beds at home. My 4 teenagers had a wonderful relaxing time and can't wait to go back. We are already looking into coming back as soon as possible. And the view is absolutely beautiful and peaceful just what we needed. Their family is the most polite and friendly people. It truly is a special trip to be treated so welcome when you stay here. I honestly could have stayed forever. Thank you again Mr Tom Mrs Kathy and of course Mrs Heather hope to be back very soon.

Tom & Kathy both grew up in the area and were gone for 30+ years in professional careers. We made it a priority to return to our roots, slow down, and enjoy nature and this scenic area.
We live on this property but our location is well away and out of view of Turkey Ridge Cottage.

The land here was where Tom spent his boyhood. It is a special place. Four brothers spent many days exploring the river and hills. Caves in the bluff as occupied us, as well as special hiding places in the hills. This region of the state has its own flavor and countenance.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Guests tell us that a getaway at Rock Eddy Bluff Farm is unequaled for releasing the tension of the work-a-day world. There are broad scenic perspectives for the eye, gentle silence for the mind, and plenty of activities to select from. Still, the appeal of escaping to this special place centers on stepping away from the whirlwind of modern life. Guest have brought work from jobs while at the cottage. We don’t recommend it! You will find plenty to keep you occupied, but the most popular activity is surrendering ones self to nature.
