Unique rental with two houses on the lake in charming Lyman with AC, WiFi

Welcome to Chappell Shores lake house, your home away from home on the beautiful Wadleigh Pond in Lyman, Maine. This unique home offers two property’s, a larger home situated behind a smaller cottage, both with lake views. In total the two property’s can accommodate 10-12 guests, comfortably.

There are two driveways for easy guest access, a smaller paved driveway above where the larger home is located and a very large unpaved driveway between both property’s. Plenty of space to bring a jet ski’s, canoe’s, kayaks or ATVs. Trails for ATV access right from your driveway! There is no public boat launch at the lake. A short 10 min drive to the Saco river boat launch in Dayton at skeleton dam!

In the shared waterfront you will find a small beach, plenty of dock space, a floating dock and a very large yard space. During the peak hours of the day, you can retreat under the large free standing umbrella where beautiful patio furniture is situated around a tabletop fire pit which seats 6-8 alongside the garden with water views. Day or night the patio is a communal space for all. Down by the water is another space to host a fire with plenty of seating for all.

In the larger home, there are 3 bedrooms and 1 full bathroom. Upon entering the home there is a large hallway that leads into the shared living space, down the hall way are each of the bedrooms. On the right is a sun-filled bedroom with a queen bed and two large closets, a tv, bureau, and AC unit. On the left is another sunny bedroom with a queen bed, one closet, a tv, bureau and AC unit. Down the hall way is a shaded bedroom with a queen bed, one closet, a tv, and AC unit. The large bathroom has a free standing tub, a walk in shower, and bluetooth accessibility available through the smart fan. The living room, dining room and kitchen flow together with sliding doors giving access to the deck with patio furniture, a grill, and of course lake views. The kitchen is fully equip with a large double door fridge/freezer, dishwasher, propane range, oven, microwave, Keurig and coffee maker. There is plenty of prep and storage space between the cabinetry, counter space, and island. The dining room table can seat 6 people. In the living room there is a large 75inch smart tv, cloud couch for 4-6 to sprawl, and a standing AC unit with a ceiling fan. Access to downstairs will bring you to another living space with the washer and dryer set up for communal use between both properties. There is also outdoor access via sliding doors.

In the smaller home, there is a large mudroom where you’ll enter and attached is the kitchen, opening up into the living area with two large windows capturing the lake. This home has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. The bathroom has a large standing shower, with a sliding barn door. The first bedroom has a queen bed, closet and sliding doors to outside. In the second bedroom there are two twin size beds and a closet. In the communal space there is a large couch, which pulls out into a full bed to sleep two more, and a breakfast bar with three stools. The kitchen is equip with an oven, gas range stove, fridge, toaster oven and Keurig. The large butcher block makes it easy to prepare food. There is laundry access in the larger home.

This home is meant to make memories in, whether it be a large family, multigenerational family, or friends looking to getaway. There is something for everyone here at Chappell Shores, especially if the main goal is to relax and recharge. Only 40 mins away from Portland, and 19 mins to downtown Biddeford.
