The home has three levels. Owners occupy the apartment above, and rent the basement below to permanent tenants. We are quiet and considerate, and anticipate that our guests will be likewise. We are happy to share our home with you and ask that you follow a few rules: 1) Be conscientious guests and be respectful of the area around you and upon your checkout, please make sure that everything is in the same condition as when you arrived. 2) The number of guests cannot exceed the number given on the reservation, without prior permission. Small gatherings are acceptable if first discussed with us. 3) No illegal substances or activities are allowed. 4) Absolutely NO SMOKING is allowed inside our home. 5) Quiet hours 11 pm to 7 am.

Above and beyond

Peter and Jackie really go above and beyond to make their home feel like your home! It's also very easy to get to everything in Asheville from their location! I would highly recommend their place!

A Christmas gift for our kids

The trip was Christmas gift so we could spend time with our kids who live 2K miles from us. The VRBO was a perfect way to maximize our time together. Our host volunteered some helpful tips to enhance our stay. Perfect experience!

Beyond Exceptional!!!

If we could rate higher than 5 we would. Without question the VERY BEST property we have ever rented. We have stayed in VRBO homes for years. This was exceptional!. Peter the host was very attentive. The property was the cleanest we have ever experienced. Lovely quiet location. Easy parking. We would be hard pressed to think of something not provided. Lighted walkway at night. Easy key pad entry. Extra batteries to the remotes. Sleep number bed (which we have at home so absolutely perfect for us). Bird seed in the feeders. Beautiful deck to enjoy the birds and squirrels. Even a VIP discount tag for the local groceries. This was an incredible find and we have already recommended to friends who are frequent visitors to Asheville. No regrets! Thank you Peter.

Clean and spacious

The Cutlers' home is beautifully finished and very clean. They went out of their way to welcome us upon arrival, and the detailed attention throughout the home continued to make us feel welcome. Just a few examples: - Twin sheets to use on the couch, in case our two boys wanted to spread out and not have to share a bed. - Fresh baked brownies! - Frequent shopper cards for the 2 grocery stores which are less than 5 mins away. - Brand new dish sponge for each guest to avoid spreading germs. - Supplies of coffee filters, trash bags, paper towels, napkins, dish soap, toilet paper, soap and shampoo, etc., the very things which are annoying to buy while travelling. - Linens were crisp and had clearly been sanitized carefully. This is not always true in vacation rentals. They even wash the pillow shams. - Easy in and out for guests with limited mobility. The rental unit is soundproofed well, and we did not hear any voices or music from upstairs during our stay. Hopefully, they did not hear our boys bickering either!

Beautiful home in quiet location

Amazing weekend beautiful accomodations

This home is lovely! Great location, very nicely decorated and spotless. Perfect for meeting our friends for a weekend in Ashville. The host responded immediately to my text when I had a question about wi-fi. Absolutely would stay here again on any future trips to Ashville.

Wonderful!

We arrived and Peter had sent details ahead of time for checkin. This home is spacious, lovely, clean and comfortable. Set in the woods but so convenient to everything. They even had paper products and coffee there along with a fully stocked kitchen. Would definitely recommend to anyone and when we return to this area we will definitely book here again!

Stay in the Wood while Close to the City

This was one of my favorite vacation rentals ever! It was clean, comfortable, and spacious. The back deck looks out on woods, with a constant stream of cardinals and blue jays at the bird feeder. Its location is perfect for a mix of hiking and city of Asheville activities.

Perfect Home Base

The was a lovely rental. It was spotless and had all the amenities you could wish for. It was very spacious, with large rooms and a nice layout. It is a perfect hub for doing almost anything in or around Asheville. And there was convenient shopping nearby. That said, the location of this property makes you feel as if you are in the middle of the woods with it's beautiful park like setting. I highly recommend this property, you won't be disappointed.

We hope to stay again!

Let me just say that when you open the door, you go wow to the cleanliness and overall space and quality of this home. I am OCD and am very particular about cleanliness and this home totally met my expectations. The location is extremely convenient to everything. Peter and Jackie were super nice and communicated everything very well. All you have to do upon leaving is take out the trash, put your towels at the washer and start the dishwasher. That is it! I truly hope I can stay here again!

Perfect spot for a getaway!

Absolutely fantastic stay! We loved the location... convenient to Biltmore, Asheville, two grocery stores nearby, and lots of outdoor fun. The property is spotlessly clean and well stocked. The owners provided things that I would have never considered, and not having to run out for toilet paper and paper towels made for such an easy stay. Most importantly, the two bedrooms, two living rooms, and kitchen are SPACIOUS and comfortable. Plenty of room to spread out! The views of the trees in the back and flowers growing around the house were lovely, too. Highly recommend!

Quiet park like setting with plenty of space indoors and outdoors. Very clean home with comfy beds and all necessary supplies. Owner replied promptly at original booking with all necessary info. He also graciously accommodated a last minute change in plans. Easy to reach Biltmore and Blue Ridge Parkway. Would recommend staying at this Home.

Perfect apt for family or Friends

Peter and Jackie are experienced hosts. They’ve thought of everything to make you comfortable and the apt is spacious and spotless. Nice to know they are upstairs but they give you complete privacy. The property is gorgeous, the deck is amazing for bird watching. Easy to get to from airport and Asheville. 2 Bathrooms are a must with a teenager. We would definitely stay again!!

Beautiful home

Love the extras, the write-up on the history of the home, the 2 family/living rooms, and large kitchen. Nice large deck but we were there for our son's wedding weekend so we didn't have time to enjoy it. Would stay here again!

Nothing lacking in quality, decor, and accomodating

This property was very centrally located to all of our needs. The owners have done their homework too. The quality of the house, it's décor and the fact that all our needs were met. We will definitely use this property again if we head to Asheville, as well as recommending it to friends. Peter and Jackie have thought of everything. They were also very accommodating when the weather took a turn for the worst and we had to delay our arrival. Thank you so much for a wonderful 2 day stay.

Could not have been any better!

This home was spacious, immaculate, conveniently located (to grocery, Starbucks, gas, Asheville, Biltmore, everything), well equipped, and well thought out. The owner lives above and responds immediately to any need, concern, or communication. I simply cannot recommend more highly.

Great property

Beautiful accommodations in a quiet park like setting. Only minutes from downtown Asheville, River Walk Art District and Biltmore. The hosts were very accommodating, and quick to respond. Plenty of space and privacy for our two adult couples.

From the very beginning our hosts were very welcoming and helpful. And their well-built, quality home reflects their generous nature with ample and tastefully furnished rooms, plush bath towels, super clean and comfortable beds and bedding, and a kitchen stocked with those little things we always seem to forget to bring. Additionally, it was very easy to drive to the Biltmore estate and the Food Lion. This home will be tops on our list when we return to the Asheville area.

Slice of Paradise

My adult daughter and I spent a week at this wonderful getaway. It is 15-20 min from most of the places we wanted to go in Asheville and close to the surrounding towns. Peter was a pleasure to deal with, friendly and helpful, anything we contacted him about he was prompt getting in touch with us and answering questions. The house is set back from the road, very secluded, and my daughter got the thrill of a life time when she briefly spotted a bear at the top of the driveway, on her way to the grocery store! It is a charming and comfortable retreat.

Very CLEAN, well maintained apartment!

I booked this apartment for a girls trip with a couple of friends. We were all extremely impressed with how spotless everything single thing was in the apartment. This place is clearly well taken care of! We also loved how peaceful it was. It was very convenient to everything we wanted to do in Asheville but was tucked away nicely so we felt like had gotten away from the busyness of town. Peter even left us a treat on our first night! Awesome experience!

My husband, son and grandson stayed in this home for 4 nights and 5 days. Everything was clean and comfortable and we had everything we needed. It is conveniently located to hiking and biking trails as well as shopping and restaurants. Peter went the extra mile to ensure out stay was very enjoyable! I am a clean freak and very picky and it exceeded my requirements. We will definitely stay here again when we are in the area. Thanks again Peter and Jackie!

Incredible Rental

We met our daughter and son-in-law for a long weekend in the Asheville area. They live in Columbia SC and we live in Cincinnati. We love the Asheville area. Candler is the perfect place to stay. It is convenient to downtown and other attractions. This particular rental was the best! It is in a lovely setting- quiet, beautiful flowers, bird feeders and lots of birds to watch. The apartment is comfortable, well stocked, huge and lovely. We could not have more comfortable or relaxed. 4 adults agree that we would all love to live here!

We have lived in Western North Carolina since 1994 and don't plan to ever leave! We absolutely love the climate and the outdoor activities that this beautiful area has to offer. We especially enjoy hiking and trail running in the nearby national forests. The Bent Creek recreation area is 10 minutes from our home and we run the trails there often. Peter is a self-employed caterer and Jackie is a registered nurse.

We love the privacy that our property affords us, yet it is within a neighborhood that is conveniently located, just 2 miles from interstate 40 and 15 minutes to many of Asheville's attractions such as The River Arts District, West Asheville, The Biltmore Estate, and more.
