Encantadora casa de artesanos con vista al río de 180 grados. A tres minutos a pie de los restaurantes y tiendas del centro de Hood River. 1/2 cuadra del parque y 2 cuadras de la biblioteca para niños.
3 dormitorios, 1. 5 baños, 1400 s. F. Totalmente amueblado, cocina surtida (recientemente remodelada en 2014), Wi-fi, televisión de pantalla plana, cable, lavadora / secadora, almacenamiento para equipo deportivo de todo tipo.

Needs just a bit more TLC

The property was in a nice neighborhood, and the walk to town was not far but very downhill and uphill for older people, so we opted to drive at night. The property owners were nice and provided information we needed. This is an old house with character but could use some improvements in the upstairs bathroom which had the tub tucked under the eaves, making it difficult to shower. Granted, it is an older home, but some improvements like better lighting in the bedrooms and bathroom and installing some electric outlets in the bedrooms would make the house more user friendly. We loved our time in Hood River and found this unit worked out fine for our short stay.

Met all of our needs & perfect location

This rental was an ideal home base for our first time visiting Hood River. The location was close to downtown but on a quiet street. The deck with beautiful views was perfect for dinner each night. The kitchen was fully stocked and easy to use for cooking. The house setup worked great for us as two adults and an infant. Hope to stay here again on our next trip to HR!

Great visit to the house on the hill!

Property owner was always very helpful and quick to respond. House is clean and neat, kitchen has everything possibly needed. Beautiful view of river and mountains, especially from the outside deck. Plenty of bedding and towels. Single full bath is nice size. Half bath is conveniently downstairs on main floor. Only a quick 5 minute drive the towns main kite/windsurf beach. We look forward to returning! Thank you.

Lovely house, great location, with a beautiful view

The house is even nicer than it looks in the photos. It has a beautiful large deck with a great view and it’s only a couple of minutes walk from down town.

Great views and perfect location

The house was in a great location just above downtown a short walk to shops and restaurants. Great view of the Columbia River in a quite neighborhood. The only complaints are they need to turn up the hot water (only good for 1/2 of a shower) and could use some better cooking pans. Otherwise a great place we would definitely rent again. Thanks for sharing your house.

wonderful time in Hood River

We had a great time at this property. The home is conveniently located within walking distance to downtown Hood River. It is clean and was just the right size for 2 adults and 2 children. The kids especially liked the bunk bed in one of the bedrooms. We would rent this home again.

Reunion in Hood River

Great location, for walking into town or up the hill to a nice bakery and natural food store. We loved being with old friends in this charming house.

Cozy house near everything

The house is close to everything - can walk to lots of restaurants and tasting rooms. The house is older but it lends to its overall charm. The owners were responsive to our questions and we really enjoyed our stay here.

Expectations were not quite met!

Although spacious and clean with lots of beds I found it lacking in basic maintenance. At issue were: 1. TV remote batteries were dead 2. Filter replacement light was on in Refrigerator 3. Outside garbage cans were full to overflowing 4. Oven cleaner was not completely wiped out of oven leaving it unusable unless I cleaned it out. 5. The windows throughout the house were Very Dirty! As one can see the June Special for this property is on this site. It was also on site when I selected the house. However the special was not given at time of paying and when I contacted owner the explanation was that it was for last year. He did agree to remit the amount in the cleaning refund. Conclusion: Although it is a great location and views of river are wonderful especially from the deck, which was also a Plus, the basic up-keep caused some frustration. Neighborhood quiet except for intermittent barking dogs which was annoying. The neighbors tied two small dogs up just below the house and left them out there to bark. Also the business part was very efficient and smooth....and owners were very attentive. So, with some small issues corrected this would be great, especially for a family with kids with the nice big backyard! Reminder: this house is very old! (Nice art work on walls)

Charming, cozy home with breathtaking views.

Stop looking and book this precious home full of charm and coziness. We love sitting on the porch swing and enjoying the view. We loved being so close to town that we could walk to a new adventure everyday. It was a short drive to the gorge to kayak etc...how perfect. We were in town for a wedding and everyone ended up at our rental to hang because of the prefect location and the ideal indoor/outdoor space to gather.

Functional house in a convenient location

We are a family of 6 with four young children (4 yr-old and under), so functionality of the house and location were high on our list. The house has all 3 bedrooms upstairs, which worked great for us. One of them has a low queen bed, which was perfect for our two oldest kids (falling off the bed is low-impact!). We also enjoyed the good-size living area downstairs, with open floor plan. Bonus was the deck with views of the river, from which we enjoyed several dinners. As noted in other reviews the house is on the older side, so the floor is creaky upstairs, etc. If you've never lived in an old house this may feel weird. We were fine with it. Location was perfect. There is a great playground on the street the house is located on (a level street, which you'll come to appreciate in Hood River). Super convenient with the kids who could use their scooter to get there (a 3 minute walk). Oak street is a 5 minute walk going, 10 minute coming back. It is STEEP. We could not push our double stroller with the older kids in it on the last stretch (7th street). But the very steep sections (on State and 7th) are short. Overall very satisfied.

Great house in Hood River

My wife and I stayed here in early August. House is clean, in good condition with lots of charm, in a quiet neighborhood, and in a great location. Easy to get in and out of town for day hikes. Also enjoyed being close enough to town to walk to restaurants and early morning strolls to the waterfront. Kitchen was perfect size for what we needed and all appliances worked well. Awesome views of the river from the deck. Nice storage area off the kitchen if you have equipment to store (we did not use this space, but is nice amenity for those that need it). Master bed was very comfy and supportive. Highly recommend.

Great location for Hood River fun!

Blue Sky Cottage worked out so well for our MN, OR , WA reunion. The main floor was especially great for meals & game playing. We enjoyed the view from the deck and barbecued every night. Three bedrooms gave everyone their space & privacy & we rested well. The location is great for Hood River activities. Good food, good drink & phenomenal sight seeing. We would rent this home again.

Very classic family vacation rental

Traveling with a family, then this is a good property to consider. Great location, walking distance to all downtown spots. The home features a large yard, a big deck with lots of views and an open main floor which works well for families. Great storage area for bikes and windsurf gear too. The home is older, but the appliances are up to date.

Great stay!

Charming house with an unbelievable view of the river and mountains. The location is terrific (part of the neighborhood but very close to downtown as well). Overall the house is nice - three bedrooms and a fold out mattress - which we needed since we have three teenagers. The kitchen is bright and cheery. We also spent a lot of time on the deck because that's where the view is truly spectacular. The house isn't new (just like most homes in HR) so expect a few quirks - but that's also what makes it charming. The only recommendation would be to replace the window a/c unit in the master bedroom - it was quite loud! We had a terrific week at this house and wouldn't hesitate to book here again.

Great House, Great Location

Stayed here for two weeks with a couple of friends on a windsurfari, it rocked! Plenty of storage for windsurfing gear and mountain bikes SUPS etc.... The deck was amazing, we had many group dinners on the deck with friends from other houses. The house itself is great, a little older and a little quirky but that is what made it so great. Location: Fantastic! four min walk to Brian's Pourhouse/downtown, could not be any better while still having the amazing views. The only real downside was the AC window units, it was baking hot the first few days so having the AC units was required and glad they were there BUT they were quite loud. This house is not a modern build with all the amenities but is an awesome house with a ton of character.
