Una casa totalmente nueva muy bien ubicada en el centro del oeste de Islandia. Ideal para excursiones de un día a Snæfellsnes y el área de Borgarfjordur. Observación de la luz del norte. Cuatro habitaciones, dos dobles y dos individuales, y un baño con ducha. Hay espacio para seis personas con camas hechas y toallas. Hay un televisor y WiFi gratis y una cocina con todo el equipo necesario para cocinar y lavavajillas. Great Escape!

The three of us had an amazing time here! The house had most everything we needed. The kitchen, the hot tub and the washer/dryer were great! It would be tight with many more people. There were only 3 full size pillows, no closets, no dressers, no luggage racks etc. We used the extra bedroom space to hold our clothes and luggage. Loved the location too!

Excellent peaceful stay

We wanted a place that was quiet and dark in the hopes of seeing the northern lights and we got exactly what we wanted. The home is comfortable with heated floors and a nice hot tub on the deck. It is about 15 minutes outside Borgarnes and there's is not a lot, other

Northern Lights from here are great! Floor hadn't been swept.

We had a great stay even though the floor hadn't been swept at all. I found a broom and swept it. When getting ready to leave (after two nights) looked under the bed and hadn't been swept there either. But, on the positive side - nice place to stay - the Northern Lights were great, amenities (fridge, washer and dryer and location) were great. The beds in Iceland aren't the normal US twin, a little skinnier, but we got used to that. Know that they in Iceland they just give you a duvet, no top sheet. Not a big deal (we brought one), but weird. Shower worked great (mat would have been nice) and again the location and northern lights were fabulous.

Great base for the west coast

Excellent location, cosy home and well equipped, only challenge was the sat nav routing us via a water crossing to get to the property.

Beautiful Home

We had a great experience at this beautiful home. The owner’s property description is spot on - the house had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay (including a high chair and crib for our 9 month old). Great location for exploring Iceland!

Gezellige woning met prachtig uitzicht

Vier vrouwen en ieder een eigen kamer. Helaas geen foto van de 4e kamer. Had wel fijn geweest aangezien deze op zolder is. Wel prima geslapen. Bij plotselinge uitval van elektriciteit en water de eigenaresse gebeld en zij was er binnen 10 min. en alles (incl. loodgieter) was binnen een half uur verholpen. Top!

Peaceful cabin

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cabin outside of Borgarnes. The home was comfortable for our family. The kids loved the loft, and we loved hanging out in the living room and the deck looking at the stunning landscape. The kitchen had the basic things needed, and there is a grill available. It was a great place to stay while exploring the west coast.

Views for days

We loved staying here. The property was so cute and comfortable. The view was incredible. It was easy to explore the area, there was so much to do and see. The grocery was easy to get to and we ended up cooking every night because we were so relaxed at the cabin.

Lovely cottage with great views. Very warm and cosy. Good facilities to self cater. Loved Borgarnes with all the facilities you could need. Found the whole area stunning at this time of year with so many beautiful places to visit.

WONDERFUL!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Cottages in VIK! The country setting and rustic cabin were wonderful and we would stay again! The Northern Lights display during our stay there was the icing on the cake! We can't wait to return to Iceland! THANK YOU!

Lovely home! It was beautiful and cozy!

We enjoyed your home so much! We had hiked Glymur in the afternoon and were so thankful for this amazing place to end our day. Everything was clean and ready for us. Thankful for the washer & dryer half way through our trip. Well equipped kitchen allowed us to make a great family dinner. Appreciated how close it was to Borgarnes and the mountains are spectacular!

A great stay in the middle of the landscape.

This was a fantastic place at a perfect spot as starting point for different activities, like bathing, hiking, riding and excursions! Close to Borganes, a fully "equipped" small town with a splendid bath, cafés, shops and restaurants. The house was spacious with good facilities, fresh and clean. Ony thing missing to become perfect was the possibility to make laundry and to hang wet things (like swimming clothes and towels to dry). Placed in the middle of nature, fantastic views over the open land, water and mountains. I can to 100% reccomend this stay. /Pär

Wonderful warm spacious cottage near Borgarnes with a beautiful view of the mountains

Great location. Kitchen service for 6. Comfortable beds. Washer dryer convenient. Wouldn't change anything. Perfect for exploring West Iceland. 1-1.5 hours from Iceland. Clean and new. Horse riding close by.

Excellent Property

Very high standard, magnificent views, great location for visiting places. The property is very well heated - important when you visit out of the summer season! Great decked area, where you can sit, in the sun, looking out over the snow-capped mountains (did that even when air temperature was below freezing). Shops in Borgarnes only about 5 minutes drive down main road. Good location to travel out from around West Iceland, e.g. around the Snaefells Peninsula. Access to property via a short gravel roadway, from main route north ( highway 1) from Borgarnes, so access good even with a lot of snow about. Layout of property very good, spacious and light, with large windows for views. Upstairs bedroom accessed by steep, but safe stairway, and although large in floor area, limited headroom, but not really a problem as a bedroom and again great views.

Our names are Birna and Bergur we are farmers at Eskiholt ll and we breed horses and goats (endangered Icelandic goats). We have lived on the farm for 22 years. We have one Icelandic sheepdog called Bergthora and two cats called Mona and Petra (lives in the horse stable). I have a MSc degree in agricultural science and work part time at the Agricultural University located near by and Bergur is a plummer. We build the house last year and this is our first year renting out.
