GREAT LOCATION, PRIVATE BEACH, ADULTS ONLY

This ocean front 2 bedroom penthouse is located on the top floor of the West wing of Beau Rivage Resort. The sliding doors give access to your private balcony and provide you with a breathtaking view of the crystal-clear lagoon with white sandy beach and the Caribbean Sea. The beach area offers shady areas under the waving palm trees and palapas (palm leave umbrellas). There are lounge chairs free to use and to enjoy the best beach day ever. The lagoon is excellent for swimming and snorkeling. There is also a large swimming pool. Beau Rivage is situated in a gated and secured resort with a private parking space per condominium. This property facilitates to adults only.

FEATURES

The spacious condo features 2 bedrooms. Both bedrooms are located on the 2nd floor of the penthouse (staircase) and are equipped with a queen size bed. One bedroom has a large en-suite bathroom with bathtub-shower, sink and toilet. The other bedroom has a large en-suite bathroom with double sink, shower and toilet. The living area is connected via a staircase to the second floor and features a separate guest toilet. The kitchen is modern and fully equipped with high-end appliances and finishes. There is a seating-dining area inside and a lounge set outside on the balcony.

AMENITIES

The condo is equipped with high speed wireless internet and flat screen TV with cable in the living room. The kitchen has all appliances needed for a home cooked meal such as refrigerator with ice cubes and filtered water, dish washing machine, combi oven-microwave, coffee maker (Nespresso regular small pods), toaster, etc. The unit has a central AC system that you can adjust for your comfort. Please note that electricity usage is only covered up to a limited allowance, and additional consumption will be charged. Utility costs are very high on the island, so we kindly ask guests to use the AC thoughtfully and keep the environmental impact in mind. Ceiling fans are also in place. There is a washer and a dryer available, iron and iron board and hairdryer for your convenience. Cleaning with linen change is included and scheduled once a week when staying longer than 8 nights. Linens are provided including beach towels.

LOCATION AND SURROUNDINGS

Beau Rivage Resort is located only a few blocks away from the historic town center and harbor of Willemstad. In the direct surroundings you will find many nice international and local restaurants plus cocktail bars. The recently renovated "Pietermaai Smal" area with its small streets and colorful houses provides the ultimate Curacao experience. Lots to explore also in the many museums and at the oldest synagogue of the Western Hemisphere Mikve-Israel Emanuel.

The complex was amazing. Very clean. Beach and pool were fantastic. Lots of chairs with shade. Lagoon was nice, floated around all day. Close to lots of retaurants. Easy check in.

Getting to the residence from the airport was a hassle. Next time, we will reserve private transportation. The pool and beach were beautiful, the best beach on the island, from what we experienced. There is an elevator, which was a necessity. The manager was personable, on time, and was able to meet our request for a coffee maker! Wine and beer were in the fridge on arrival, but only potato chips were on the counter. The rooms were quiet, and the air conditioning only failed on the last night. The main room downstairs is not air-conditioned, but there is usually a good breeze off the balcony overlooking the pool and ocean. There are no screens on the windows, which is a concern because mosquito-borne illnesses are prevalent in Curaçao (e.g., dengue outbreak in 2024). We found using the shower/bath in one bedroom very difficult because the water shield was not properly attached, and water leaked onto the floor—we all decided to use the shower in the second bedroom. I did not see any smoke or CO2 detectors, but I brought one of each. Security and parking were excellent. We received a nasty note (which I kept), signed by the homeowners' association, unfairly criticizing us, but I took it to the head of security, and he said, “Don’t worry about it.” The neighborhood appears “rough,” but we walked to the grocery store and other places without difficulty. All in all, it is a good place to stay if you visit Curacao.

Many great things about the place: 1. The location was awesome. We were next to Availa Hotel. We had use of their gym and spa for a reasonable fee.2. Our parking was secured by a fence and 24 hr security guard.3. Many restaurants within walking distance. Some days didnt even use the car. We could also walk to town but chose not to as it was a little further over uneven sidewalks.4. We had an incredible view of the pool and private beach.5. Property was well cared for and quiet.There were several small things that would have made it perfect. Simple instructions on how to use induction cooktop and magroton micro oven would have been most helpful.No bath soap nor gel for showering. Nor were there washclothes. We also had not brought shampoo or conditioner. We bought all this at the grocery store but could have brought it with us. There needs to be a mirror in the bedroom as you cant use the hair dryer in the bathroom. Hard to style hair. Klennex tissues would have been an extra bonus. Also there were lights in living room and dining room we weren't able to turn on. Never found switch. We were unaware that bedrooms were up a spiral staircase so we left our suitcases downstairs and carried stuff up the stairs. There were two closets in the master but no where to hang dresses or pants in the second one. I would stay there again for location and privacy. I always tell my children to stay in their guest room one night and see what you need!Very easy to work with Karin.
