201 E Cooper Ave - Unit B

This renovated 3 bedroom/2 bath unit is above/behind the one-and-only Bert's Market...and is only 1 block from the beach and 1 block from Center Street!

Pets welcome with a $100 non-refundable pet fee.

Our unit features heart pine flooring throughout, a Sony 5.1 Digital Surround Sound Theater with a 60" Sony Bravia TV in the living room and a 42" Sony Bravia TV in the bedroom with bunks, HD DirectTV, Wi-Fi, new appliances, tons of natural light, and an eclectic mix of comfortable designer furniture and decor.

The layout is extremely spacious, with the living room, dining area and kitchen area all connecting together without walls. There is a large porch out front, and a small one out back, from which you can see the ocean. A great place to find some solitude.

The unit is located right behind Bert's Market, which is the local 24 hour grocery store and deli so if you arrive and find you are missing something, odds are Bert's will have it, and you are only footsteps away. (We can also arrange to have your unit PRESTOCKED with groceries. Just mention it.) You are also only one block from Center St., the heart of Folly Beach's commercial district, with a great variety of shopping and delicious food.

In addition to the unit, guest are welcome to enjoy the communal outdoor kitchen, grill, outdoor fireplace and out door tv with cafe lights.

We are locals, and we are available to address any needs or issues during your stay.

Folly is an eclectic barrier island to Historic Charleston. Artist, musicians, surfers and regular folk abound. Folly takes pride in welcoming people from all walks of life.

The unit is centrally located, only one block from Center St, where the shops and restaurants are and right behind Bert's. So if you want to just walk to everything you can or you can rent a golf cart of beach cruiser to explore the rest of the island. Uber, your car or a rental can be used to visit Charleston or Johns Island.

This is a cute upstairs apartment behind Bert's Market and across the street from Chico Feo. It was beautifully renovated inside and slept 6 with no problem. It is a very walkable location 1 block off the beach.

Our second time here!

Folly is always our favorite beach and this is our favorite place to stay. It's a short walk to the beach and conveniently located. Hosts are easy to work with! We booked our third trip for next year!

Family with littles

We stayed here for 3 ngts with a 5, 3, and 1 year old. It was adorably styled in a beachy chic theme. Very clean and clean smelling with the exception of the floors. Not sure if the cleaning crew mops the floors in between guests because on day 1, the bottoms of our feet were pretty black from walking around the unit in our bare feet. We are not fussy people so we made do. But, other than that…it was great as far as cleanliness. The beds were dreamy! Loved the mattress and linens. Wanted to take them home with me. The location was wonderful. Short walk to the beach & restaurants. I recommend a stroller if u have a child under the age of 3. Only drawback to the unit for a family with very small children is it is on the second floor so schlepping gear & luggage up the stairs is no fun. With that said, I still would stay here again with littles. Just keep that in mind. Also, high chair on site!!! And fun little extras for kids (and adults too ;)) throughout including Disney +….huge win for the downtimes. Enjoyed our stay tremendously. Definitely recommend.

Excellent apt, grumpy downstairs neighbor

We had a hard time finding the apt and called for help from the owner but no one answered. We ended up finding it but the code wouldn’t work. We called about that and no answer but quickly got a call back. Omar was apologetic and told us he forgot that there was a new code since rekeying the locks. Minor set-back. The place was just as beautiful as in the photos and the kids fell in love with their room. We had just finished getting them ready for bed when the downstairs tenant banged on our door and complained we were too loud. We were rather surprised as things had been very tame, but perhaps you could hear every footstep downstairs? The rest of our stay was stressful, constantly worrying we were going to upset the downstairs tenant again. We were told there was communal beach gear and toys in the grill area so our older kids grabbed some things which apparently included the downstairs neighbors’ boogie boards. 😬 How did we find this out? Oh, because they saw one of them on the beach and walked over and took it from us when we weren’t looking. And the other one, my husband was confronted about it when he came home to let a child use the bathroom turning an honest mistake into an uncomfortable situation. They left Tuesday morning which gave us one day of not literally having to tiptoe around. Their poor social skills are not the owner’s fault but perhaps there could be better communication about how you can hear the upstairs tenants quite a bit or maybe these people were just super nit picky. Loved the apartment so much but probably would not stay again unless I knew the downstairs neighbors would not be so grumpy.

Perfect!

We had a wonderful stay at this property! It is even nicer than the beautiful photos. Clean and so much space. Convenient to everything. It was nice to walk downstairs in the morning for a free cup of coffee at Bert's before heading out for breakfast. The beach a block away was wonderful. Omar and Julia were kind enough to offer to mail us our granddaughter's iPad that we left behind. Definitely honest and thoughtful hosts. Do not hesitate to book this one!

Just perfect!

This was our second stay at your place in Folly beach. The location is absolutely perfect. We love Chico Feo, Bert's and being able to walk everywhere. The decor is lovely and the beds are especially comfy. Thank you for another great stay- look for us to return next April!

Responsive owner, beautfully decorated place and best location on the island.

We booked late and were very pleased with the communication and flexibility of the owner, Omar. The place had everything we needed including beach towels, chairs and beach toys. Noise wasn’t an issue and proximity to Berts grocery (free coffee!) and the taco place next door ($25 feeds a family of 5 with live music too). We loved our stay.

Perfect Rental for our stay

Great spot within walking distance to Folly

Stayed here for New Year's with some friends. Location is fantastic! Place is nice and accommodating for a small group. The owners are very responsive and will get back to you within a short amount of time. Highly recommend this place!

great comfy space close to everything

we had a great time staying here, sofas are super comfortable and great for lounging around after a day at the beach. it is nice to have the grocery store right below us for grabbing some things quickly. it is a bit noisy at night with the restaurant next door having live music most nights. this is definitely not the most quiet place to stay, but great if you like being walking distance to town. overall a great stay with friends and the little ones!

Wonderful for my Bachelorette Weekend

I booked these accommodations for a bachelorette weekend. I was pleasantly surprised to find an ABC package store tucked quietly below on the first floor. Additionally, next door was a cute little outdoor restaurant and bar which was fun. The house is literally on a street corner and when you look down the road you are directly at a beach access that has showers and it near the pier. Seriously - perfect. The house itself is exactly as pictured. There was a bottle of wine and some treats available for us to consume. The rooms was nicely decorated and even though we had 6 girls the shower was not an issue (there is an outdoor shower as well). Parking was limited for the apartment due to other rentals downstairs. If you rent the other side of this rental as well it share the secondary porch and there is a super cute farm table and benches for everyone to enjoy together. Beach chairs were included and available to us as well along with three beach towels. The only complaint I have is that the bedroom in the front of the rental is not that comfortable. I kind of felt like I was sleeping on the box spring. However, the bedroom that has the two bunk beds the king bed was HEAVENLY! Hopefully they will get more mattresses like this one. Basically - you should definitely book this place. It was great.

Great Spring Break

We absolutely loved this place. Great location, so close to the beach. Loved the cute store below, with quick sandwich or dinner fixings. Loved eating dinner on the porch. And the place was very quiet considering. Would highly recommend.

Fabulous convenient

We had an amazing week. The apartment was conveniently located near the town center and beach. It was spacious, clean and beautifully decorated and contained everything you could possibly need. I highly recommend it.

Not a very good place to rent.

Although this unit is cute, affordable, convenient to center street and the owners are nice people, our family did not have a very good trip. The idea of "wireless" satellite TV is great but the connection is bad and we were without use of TV's for the majority of our stay and there are no use instructions in the unit. VRBO and the info at the unit states there is a grill to use but there is not one. The downstairs tenants (who appear to be year round) were up until 3am playing loud music and slamming doors 3 of the nights of our stay. The unit could use a very deep cleaning (especially under the couches and beds). The owners should also check for some type of animal in the walls and ceiling in the Queen BR at the front of the unit.
