Best VRBO we have stayed at, so far.But now the bar has been set high!Cobblestone Cottage is beautifully designed. Very clean and well appointed.We hail from Wisconsin but have told all our Ferndale friends about this home for out of town guests.We hope to be back!

Charming home in an idyllic setting. Perfect place to relax and unwind. We loved the chairs around the outdoor fire pit. We didn’t get around to having a fire, but relaxing in that peaceful setting was perfect. Loved the added touch of fresh flowers. Definitely recommend.

We recently stayed several weeks in Cobblestone Cottage in Ferndale and enjoyed it enormously. The house was nicely decorated and arranged and comfortable in every way (beds, couch, chairs, kitchen table). It is located in a quiet somewhat rural neighborhood and while there is a street nearby it has very little traffic or noise. What noise there is was created by the natural elements nearby, primarily a herd of cows. We greatly enjoyed our nightly, dinnertime cattle drive past the fence of the property, with the animals more or less energetic on different days. The town of Ferndale had some good restaurants and a great supermarket (Hagens) that was much closer and much better than the Safeways and Fred Myers that we had been using in previous stops this summer. Jean and Brandt were gracious hosts and excellent communicators. The guide they left about the area was terrific and we had great success using it. The hike to Fragrance Lake, Hovander Park and Mount Baker were favorites, as was a day trip into Vancouver spent in Queen Elizabeth Park with lunch at Seasons Restaurant. We definitely hope to be back to the Cottage.

The Stone Cottage of Ferndale

This is a beautiful, clean and comfortable home stocked with everything we needed to have a wonderful weekend. The property is quiet and secluded but only a few minutes to town and lots of other fun, interesting and beautiful places to visit.

The host was very accommodating, and the space was beyond compare for this type of lodging!This is by far the nicest place I've stayed. The quality of the remodel was of the highest quality and the interior design was very well done. The overall experience was wonderful and as an architecture and interior design firm owner, I encourage the owners to continue they're efforts of finding housing gems and making them shine again!Well done and all the best in your continued efforts. We had the best girls weekend!! We enjoyed our stay so much. A lot of thought and design expertise went into this beautiful cottage! It’s clear that the hosts want their guests to be perfectly pleased with their stay, they even left us fresh flowers in almost every room!

Brandt is exceptionally responsive and the cottage is like staying in a home magazine layout just before a photo-shoot. If you like being insolated without being isolated, then this is a great spot. We had intended to do day trips and became happy to just enjoy the space. The home had everything we needed and a few things we wouldn't have anticipated. We have rented homes in several countries and this would be on our list to revisit.
